The N'Akkiarla are a Therapsidian race of Synapsidian descent, like humanity they are Synapsids. Unlike humanity they didn't evolve into true mammals so they look like reptiles because they retain more of there pre-mammalian synapsid ancestry than mammals. The N'Akkiarla are a brother species of mammals, they have aspects of mammalian biology and appear to be evolving into mammals.
After declaring freedom from the Eoki around 50,000 years ago they formed a unified culture, the First N'Akkiarlian Empire, but later broke apart into tribes, around 40,00 years ago they colonised some of our galaxy and had genetic and cultural influences on the very distant ancestors of humanity, which maybe the cause of the love of war and fighting found in many humans. Around the year 50,000 BBY the State of N'Akkiarl was created by N'Akkiarl I, the chieftan of the N'Akkiarl Tribe, the first ever N'Akkiarlian King. 5,000 years later his descendant, N'Akkiarl VII fought the 200-year long N'Akkiarl-Mzenra War, which was won by the N'Akkiarlian Alliance. In 1,000 ABY the N'Akkiarla returned to our galaxy for the first time in over 40,000 years years and began the Great N'Akkiarlian War, after being defeated and leaving the galaxy for 37 years they peacefully returned to our galaxy 963 years ago in 1,037 ABY where they peacefully worked with us. In the past millenium N'Akkiarlian-Human relations have been improving and appear to continue to improve for the forseeable future.
—The Encyclopaedia of Members of the Galaxy (10th edition) by Brena Jerla c. 2,000
The N'Akkiarla (N'Akkiarlian for a member of the N'Akkiarla) were a warm-blooded species of Synapsidian descent who came from the N'Akkiarl Galaxy, a galaxy far beyond the boundary of the galaxy. As Synapsids these people were close to being mammals except they retained more of the pre-mammalian synapsid ancestry than the mammals did, which made them look more like reptiles than there mammalian cousins.
Hundreds of millions of years ago we were reptiles, over the aeons we changed to survive and turned into mammals. The N'Akkiarla did not need to evolve into true mammals like we did since they were not faced with the same extinction events as we were, the N'Akkiarla are stuck half-way between our Therapsidian ancestors and being mammalian humans. They are part mammalian since they are warm-blooded and feed their young on milk. They are a link between us and our reptilian past.
—A Human Xenobiologist speaking about Synapidian N'Akkiarla
As warm-blooded Synapsids they were fascinating to their Human cousins, who thought of them as a "link" in the vague area of pre-Mammalian Human ancestry, when the ancestors of Humanity were reptiles.
Most Humans knew that the N'Akkiarla were one possible branch of human evolution, but there was a bit of confusion as it was also said that Humanity was also a possible branch of N'Akkiarlian evolution. They fought for a century to create their large empire, the most famous being the N'Akkiarlian-Jussk'Ravgarok War several tens of thousand years before they invaded the galaxy.
Despite loving combat and aggression they were very honourable and they were loving to those they cared about. At first Non-N'Akkiarlians believed they didn't have a loving, compassionate side - only an aggressive, war-worshipping side which desired to conquer and enslave every sentient species in the universe. This was because they had never seen how loving and emotional a N'Akkiarlian father was when witnessing the birth of his child or hugging his child. They had also never seen the love shared between partners. Though fathers did sometimes have trouble hugging newborn and young children, their huge muscles meant they had to be very careful not to hug too hard or theyd squeeze their child to death. N'Akkiarlian fathers and mothers were well known for being very loving of there children.
Here's your new daughter, be careful how hard you hug her, i dont want you squeezing her to death!
—A N'Akkiarlian mother to a N'Akkiarlian father
The N'Akkiarlians who fought in the Great N'Akkiarlian War were very sad and angry at how their human brothers and sisters chose to fight them, they were hoping for humanity to honour and respect their N'Akkiarlian heritage and join their brothers in conquering the galaxy for the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire but instead the humans chose to fight against their N'Akkiarlian family members and most N'Akkiarlians hoped the king would show mercy on their defeated human brothers, the humans were descended from N'Akkiarlian stock after all, they hated the idea of watching their human siblings kneeling at their feet and kissing their feet, they felt that no species with N'Akkiarlian blood running through its viens deserved such a fate, to be enslaved by their own family.
The N'Akkiarlians didnt want to see humanity reduced to slaves, the humans were family, they didnt want to see humans calling them names like "master".
However they did know that the N'Akkiarlian had a loyal side with loving in it. They knew that a N'Akkiarlian would go into a mad suicidal rage and try to kill as many enemies as possible after witnessing the death of a "brother". But they underestimated how much love the N'Akkiarla felt.
Many members of this people were a parent to an "Alien Human" from the "Coruscant Galaxy".
One thing these people really loved was when their children hugged them. They believed that this was one of most lovely things.
Anatomy, Biology and Physiology[]
These people were synapsids and were the direct bipedal descendants of the pelycosaurs (unlike humans, who were the direct descendants of the therapids, who were descended from the pelycosaurs) which had started to develop into therapsids by the time the galaxy had discovered them. Like most sentient species the males were more muscular than the females.
Their huge strength made N'Akkiarlian males extremely deadly opponents in hand-to-hand combat to the species not of a similar strength and build, such as most humans, N'Akkiarlian warriors were known to be able snap a Human's neck in a single uppercut punch to the chin, from the speed their head snapped back from the force of the punch, and either snap their spines or crush them to death in the infamous "N'Akkiarlian Death Hug", or even tear them to pieces in the exceptionally painful and gruesome, and highly controversial, torture-execution method known as the "N'Akkiarlian Stretch".
It was believed these muscles were partly the reason as to why some women of many different species were attracted to them. As mentioned it seemed that they were naturally "better equipped" to attract females there were several reasons proposed as to why this is like: their large muscles, their some-what revealing clothing, their virility and their talents at being romantic. It is likely that it was a combination of these factors rather than just one.
With an average height of 7 feet 6 inches (females) to 8 feet (males) N'Akkiarla towered over humans, whose average was only around 5 feet 9 inches. Their height was one of the reasons why the Human soldiers feared them during the war.
As with many species females were a little bit shorter, the average female height was around 7'6 feet. This was partly due to testosterone and because females started growing before males, so they stopped growing earlier than males. Aside from their height it was possible to tell the difference between males and females because females were less muscular and had more pronounced breasts than males, the differences between males and females were the same as the differences between male and female humans.
Plenty of humans seem to think Twi'lek women are attractive because of how slim they are, and whilst that may be true, if you like your girl to have some meat on her bones, beautiful and buxom, with a chest like a pillow, and with long, shapely, legs, then you can't go far wrong with a N'Akkiarlian girl, and the bonus is that we're compatible with the N'Akkiarla, so she can have your children!
—A human male who finds N'Akkiarlian females attractive
Because of their height and (for males) their huge muscles many humans felt intimidated (or even scared) by their size. When they joined their galaxy they wondered why the humans were so wary of them. There were some N'Akkiarlians who felt sad abowt their muscles and height, because many humans felt intimated by them and wouldnt want to spend time with them even though they were very nice. Many Human women were very attracted to N'Akkiarlian men because of their muscles and sexual prowess.
Vhy do you fear uz? Ve are memberz of your galaxy now. Ve vill try and help you, not kill you like during the vorr."
"It's your size, it intimidates us. You're about 7 feet tall whilst we're about 6 feet tall. Were tiny compared to you! Aside from the fact you're nearly twice as tall as us your muscles are huge. We are weary of you because we don't want to mess with someone with muscles as large as your people's men have. Also you did charge our ancestors in blood-chilling sword charges, to see an army of giants charging you with longswords is, to put it simply, terrifying!"
"Vell, I apologize for my height and huge muscles then."
"It's not you, it's just a survival instinct to be weary of things far larger than yourself. I'd bet you don't have such an instinct since you're so gigantic."
"Hmmm, very interezting!"
"I bet you think of us as midgets."
"Not midgetz, ve care not your size. You are a lot shorter than uz, ve juzt accept that fact. Bezidez, your bravery during the vorr made you look like giantz!
—A N'Akkiarlian and a Human discussing why Humans are intimidated by the N'Akkiarlians
Despite the usual height being between 7 foot and 8 foot there were many N'Akkiarlia over the years who were not this tall. The shortest ever fully-grown N'Akkiarlian was Xytar 'Yuzz-Raxgarnizo (who was known as "Shortie") who was only 6'0" as an adult at 20 until his death at the age of 118, a midget by N'Akkiarlian standards. Before becoming famous as the shortest ever N'Akkiarlian he was a victim of heightism and was bullied as a child for being so short. Despite being so short he did manage to marry and have children, he married 7'3" Yolora 'ZZra-Zanataria and they become celebrities. Although she was a giant to him she didnt care about height - she loved and him so she married him, her family weren't pleased at her marrying such a short man but she said they were heightist like the rest of society and married him anyway.
The tallest ever N'Akkiarlian was the legendary battle commander Ezkrva 'Utiarupanata-Xurgilgranarr whose mummy was measured to be around 12 ft (3.658 metres), making him one of the tallest people ever seen in history, its believed his massive height was because of a very rare genetic defect.
Like their human counterparts males had high amounts of testosterone which gave them a high libido, which was partly responsible for their need of an empire (they had a population explosion). Females were usually less muscular than the males, females gave birth to one child at a time. Pregnancies usually lasted between 6–8 months and the mother could get pregnant again virtually immediately after giving birth. Most N'Akkiarlian couples had between 1-10 children in a lifetime. The record for the largest number of children by a single male was set by the 3,000th N'Akkiarlian King, Xytar Arr-Vagalak , who fathered 238 children in his lifetime, thanks to his many wives.
They were also capable of interbreeding with the Humans, hybrid children were very common. The children was either human or N'Akkiarlian, it seemed there species would be picked at random.
Most N'Akkiarlians had excellent eyesight which got worse as they reached old age, poor eyesight and night-blindness typically set in around the age of 90 to 100 for males, but females could get to about 170 before old age began to take its toll.
Many thought N'Akkiarlian young were cute, especially humans and N'Akkiarla. Their small size and high-pitched voice made them nearly impossible to adore.
Awwww! Look at that little N'Akkiarlian, he's so small and speaks in a cute, high-pitched voice! Look at his little nose! SOOOOOOO cute!
—a human woman appreciating a cute young N'Akkiarlian
N'Akkiarlian males got there big muscles around the end of adolescence, which happened around between 15-20, N'Akkiarlian adolescents were like human adolescents, there voice got deeper, had a stronger urge for sex and had increased muscle mass. For males having big muscles was one of the things which symbolised adulthood, as most got there huge muscles around the age of 20, which was classed as adulthood as the Test of Adulthood took place on a N'Akkiarlian's 20th birthday.
Much like Humans N'Akkiarlians grew wrinkles as they grew older. Elderly N'Akkiarlians also suffered from much of the same conditions that affected elderly Humans, including a gradual onset of weakness compared to their youth from such things as a loss of bone density (Osteoporosis) and a degree of muscle tissue wastage. Some elderly N'Akkiarla also suffered from mental health issues which reduced their ability to work things out mentally as well as remember details, and in serious cases, their ability to walk straight, leading to a gait. In the most serious cases of elderly mental health issues the elderly N'Akkiarlian was unable to remember events that had happened mere seconds before.
Diseases and conditions[]
Spreadable diseases and parasites[]
As with all living things these people suffered from diseases, it seemed that humans could catch them as well. When the N'Akkiarla joined the galaxy they brought their diseases to galactic worlds and they spread fast around the human populations. They had managed to eradicate most diseases but were unable to eradicate these diseases:
- Arrowlung
- An airborne viral infection that infected one, or both, of the lungs, caused a terrible "stabbing" pain in a small patch of the lung, as if pierced by an arrow. Usually painful, but not dangerous, it can be fatal if severe, Kadran Lopra, a N'Akkiarlian senator in the Senate of the Coruscant Republic during the 77th century ABY, died of a severe case of Arrowlung. In severe cases the immune system is unable to contain the virii in a small region of the lung, and the virii spread throughout the lungs and windpipe, the virii cause inflammation of the lungs and windpipe, resulting in a "productive" cough in which the mucus contains blood. Eventually, if left untreated, the virii destroy enough of the lungs and windpipe that the lungs are unable to produce enough oxygen for the body. Because of the highly infectious nature of Arrowlung, sufferers are usually quarantined in special facilities.

- Brronigar's leg
- A viral infection which caused the infected limb (almost always one of the legs) to turn a blood-red color which didn't leave the victim once infected. Named after Brronigar 'Vrigo-Tzazagravuldena, a N'Akkiarlian doctor with blood-red skin who researched the illness. The disease was harmless and caused no pain but it was somewhat disfiguring.
- Rage Disease
- Rage Disease was a highly deadly disease in which the virus Vorstun Ankerg, which was spread through bites, infected the brain, more or less "taking control" of its victims, the virus would force the victim to become extreme frightened, and violently resist, food and water, due to the pain it cause when consuming them, and would also infect the region of the brain which was involved in anger, the virus would force the victim to become extremely angry and violent, as well as force the victim to try and bite as many others as possible. "Rage Disease" had a 100% fatality rate, due to eventual starvation or thirst, with no known cure. At home in the native species of N'Akkiarl Major and N'Akkiarl Minor, as well as the N'Akkiarlians, human races, and many others, the disease was the most feared disease of all by the N'Akkiarlians, who commonly knew the disease as the "Eternal Blood Rage" (owing to the violent and enraged symptoms victims displayed), it is believed that some N'Akkiarlian nations in ancient history tried to use victims of the disease as weapons, they would carefully deploy them in battle in order to use their enraged and violent personality caused by the disease against the enemy, as well as use the fatality of the disease against the enemy, to decimate their enemies, this method also had the added advantage of off-loading sufferers so society wouldn't have to deal with them, however, the practice was eventually banned.
- N'Akkiarlian Colonic Worm
- As the name suggests this was a parasitic worm which lived in the intestines, usually they caused no symptoms and only large infestations could be felt by the host, as discomforting slitering/wriggling sensation in their "back passage", this was due to the worms releasing an special kind of anaesthetic into the bloodstream which reduced the host's ability to feel the worms so the worms wouldn't be disturbed. Due to the similarity between N'Akkiarlian and human anatomy the worms were perfectly suited to infesting in humans as well, not needing to adapt like they did to infest other species, this made humans a favourite co-host of the worms since evolutionary instincts told them they could make home in human intestines very easily, not needing to adapt to the intestines of other species and after millenia of infecting N'Akkiarlians knew how to stay invisible from a human's similar body defences.
Wherever N'Akkiarlians and humans lived together Colonic worms could be found, due to the ease of cross-species infestation, though due to social things like health care such worms weren't as common in the richer communities, usually infesting the communities of working and lower class N'Akkiarlians and humans were health care wasn't as good.
In infancy the worm looked like a tiny thread, as it grew and fed on blood it expanded (got "fatter" as some said) until it looked like a round worm. The worms were harmless but large numbers of them could be discomforting.
They also suffered from human diseases, like colds. Some believed that they brought the cold and flu etc. to the galaxy when they colonised some of it around the year 40,000 BBY - however this was never proven.
Conditions[]
Apart from diseases they also suffered from non-spreadable conditions, like muscles an skeletal conditions
- Aching Spine
- A condition in which the Spine collapsed, causing very bad aches of the spine, usually caused by old age it was also very rarely caused by bacterial infection of the back.
- Aching Muscles
- A condition in which muscles ached.
- Brainshrink Syndrome
- "Brainshrink Syndrome" was a condition was affected the elderly, this syndrome caused parts of the brain and neurons to gradually die off, leading to a shrinking of the brain, typically this occurred in the region of the brain which dealt with memory, leading victims to increasingly forget details. In the most serious cases the victim could forget events that had happened mere seconds prior, for example forgetting the name of their own child seconds after being reminded of it. This syndrome caused significant amounts of distress and upset amongst the victim as well as their family and friends. Another symptom of a severe case of the syndrome included an abnormal walking gait, this was caused by the disease causing wastage in the region of the brain dedicated to motion and balance. Sufferers sometimes described the syndrome as them having "brain knots", whilst other described it as suffering from a "brain fog".
History[]
Pre-centralised government[]
50,000 years ago we arrived and met very primitive humans who worshipped us as gods, we tought our human servants how to build and later master and servant had children, your kind, Earthlings.
—A N'Akkiarla telling an Earthling about their N'Akkiarlian roots
Evolution[]
These people originally evolved on the planet N'Akkiarl Major and were classed as Synapsids of Synapsidian descent and as such were closer brothers to humanity and the mammals than to true reptiles. They were one of the oldest and most technological advanced races ever discovered, with a history dating back millions of years.
It was believed that they were Synapsids like humans then they had an ancestral lineage similar to that of humans, they were descended from fish, amphibians and synapsids like humans were.
Whilst little was known about their distant ancestry it was believed that the N'Akkiarla were descended from a Sphenacodontian genus called Vzkiana (after Vzkiana He-Lominaparo, the palaeontologist who discovered the fossils) from around 100,000,000 BBY, Vzkiana moved on all fours, had a long tail and dagger-like teeth, as well as a dermal plate-lined back (the forerunner to the N'Akkiarlians' very small dermal plates).
Like us, Vzkiana were the top predators of their time, they and their fellow Proto-Mammal brothers ruled the land, ever since our ancestors split off from the amphibian lineage they were in combat with our distant reptilian cousins. Vzkiana came about when our Synapsidian forefathers began to dominate our world 100,000,000 years ago. Vzkiana represented a new form of Proto-Mammal, one far more advanced than there primitive ancestors and any true reptiles at the time, their legacy has been handed to down to us where we dominate our world, just like our ancestors 100,000,000 years ago.
—A N'Akkiarlian palaeontologist speakin abowt Vzkiana
From fossils it was believed that the N'Akkiarla's ancestral line had lost its long tail, like the kind found on Vzkiana, around 35,000,000 BBY, nearly 35 million years before the estimated year when the N'Akkiarla came about.
It was believed that they evolved some time before 50,000 BBY, in a time when the "Eoki" race ruled the N'Akkiarl System as part of the Eokian Empire, it was believed that the newly-evolved N'Akkiarla were enslaved as soon as the Eoki learnt they were sentient.
Whilst the exact time when the N'Akkiarlian evolved isn't known, it was known to be millions of years prior to the arrival of the Eoki, this fact was used as part of the justification of the rebellion against the Eoki.
My brothers, rise against our Eokian oppressors! Our motherland was free for millions of years before they arrived! We are one of the oldest and most advanced ancient civilisations! Our ancestors will us to fight, to regain our glory, to die on our feet, rather than on our knees, if you die on the battlefield with freedom and in glory then you will join your forefathers and your brothers who went before in the afterlife!
—Tzaga rallying the N'Akkiarlian uprising against the Eoki
Enslavement and freedom[]
The Eoki were very brutal to there slaves, the average life expectancy of a N'Akkiarlian slave in the Eokian Empire was only about 25 because they were so brutally treated by the Eoki, this fueled there hatred of the Eoki.
After a several hundred years of slavery the N'Akkiarla finally decided they had had enough of bowing down to another race and violently revolted against their brutal masters, the N'Akkiarla were so ferocious they practically wiped out the Eokian species, the few surviving Eoki fled back to the planet Eoki where they eventually died out after being unable to revive the species. The N'Akkiarla then took over the N'Akkiarl System. During the revolution the N'Akkiarla gave themselves their N'Akiarla name, the term came from an adaption of the Eokian term S'Akkiarla, which meant "Slave People", in a show of defiance to their enslavement the N'Akkiarlian rebels referred to their species as the "N'Akkiarla", which meant "Free People" in Eokian, the symbolism of the term meant than the N'Akkiarla adopted it as their species name following the revolution.
You have to feel sorry for the earliest ancestors of our N'Akkiarlian brothers, they spent a good few centuries under the control of the brutal Eoki! The Eoki punished our brothers harshly!
—A human speaking about how the earliest N'Akkiarla were brutally treated by there Eokian masters
Not long after the war of independence the N'Akkiarla began to spread across their galaxy, and using captured Eokian warp drives managed to find the planet Earth, which they named 'Ei-Zonnox, after the explorer who discovered the planet, there they found primitive humans who worshipped them as gods, taking advantage of this situation, the N'Akkiarlian colonists became the masters of the humans and began breeding with them after discovering that humans and N'Akkiarla were compatible, an event known as Great Birthing, which was undertaken to help replenish the N'Akkiarlian species, the Great Birthing lasted 400 years and made pure-blood Earthlings extinct.
The Great Birthing led to the creation of the Homo-N'Akkiarla and the N'Akkiarlian Human subraces, Human-N'Akkiarlian Hybrids, and the Ingza, a race of humans of Earthling-N'Akkiarlian descent located on the planet Ingza Prime, which could trace their ancestry back to the planet Earth.
War of Unification to the N'Akkiarlian Civil War[]
Ancient legends said that the First N'Akkiarlian Empire became the Second N'Akkiarlian Empire after the N'Akkiarl-Mzenra War around about the year 45,000 BBY when the First N'Akkiarlian Empire and her allies fought the rogue state of Mzenra in one of the largest wars their kind had ever fought. According to the legend the First N'Akkiarlian Empire had numerous peace treaties and alleigences with the other states but one state, the state of Mzenra rebelled and attacked the state of N'Akkiarl.
In response to the attack N'Akkiarl and her allied states formed one of the largest armies ever seen and after a war which lasted 20 years crushed Mzenra and absorbed it, forming the Second N'Akkiarlian Empire. N'Akkiarl put forward an idea to ensure peace, the other states would submit to N'Akkiarl and this would ensure peace and unit among their species. It took a while to convince the other kings to give up their power to the state of N'Akkiarl but in the end the King of N'Akkiarl managed to covince them. The other kingdoms joined the Second N'Akkiarlian Empire and the entire N'Akkiarlian race was united.
In 41,000 BBY N'Akkiarlian outcasts, who had been exiled from the kingdom, tried to become independent, this was the N'Akkiarlian Outcast War of Independence, the Outcasts were defeated and their village-sized republic was crushed in a single battle.
1000 years later in 40,000 BBY the N'Akkiarlian Kingdom Commonwealth fought the breakaway First N'Akkiarlian Confederacy in the N'Akkiarlian Civil War, both Earth and Ingza Prime joined the Confederacy, and the native humans continued to faithfully serve their masters on the battlefield, the amount of human subjects which served the First N'Akkiarlian Confederacy led to a common belief that the First N'Akkiarlian Confederacy was as much human as it was N'Akkiarlian.
The Confederacy were defeated and rejoined the Kingdom Commonwealth, though the Kingdom conceded to some of the rebel demands, namely the right to self=governance, due to these concession, one of which being limited self-governance, the First N'Akkiarlian Star Empire was reorganized into the Second N'Akkiarlian Star Empire.
Formation of the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire[]
Now that our empire spans the galaxy we are the ultimate masters of the galaxy!
—The N'Akkiarlian King of 32,850 BBY
Around 33,000 BBY to 32,950 BBY the N'Akkiarlian races fought the N'Akkiarlian-Jussk'Ravgarok War against the insectoid Jussk-Ravgarok. They defeated the Jussk'Ravgarok and took over their space, the N'AKkiarlian Kingdom Commonwealth became the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire (also known as the Third N'Akkiarlian Empire) after 100 years the N'Akkiarlians finally conquered the entire galaxy, and for 33,850 years this would be the largest known empire in the N'Akkiarl Galaxy.
In 32,854 BBY to 32,851 BBY the N'Akkiarlians fought there hardest campaign of the war, the N'Akkiarlian-Ingzan War against the Ingzan Commonwealth, an alliance of the planets of the Ingza System which was led by the Ingza people, after 3 years of war the Ingzans were defeated and enslaved, this proved to be the hardest military campaign in the colonisation of the galaxy.
Extra-galactic colonisation[]
In 40,000 BBY the N'Akkiarlians used many millennia of research to build a super space-drive which gave them the ability to travel between galaxies, they ended up in a galaxy they would later call the "Coruscant Galaxy" and colonised it.
You know 40,000 years ago your ancestors worshipped us as gods! They bowed down to us in reverance of there N'Akkiarlian gods! Of course i dont see any of todays humans bowing down to me in worship!
—A N'Akkiarlian speaking abowt how the very early humans saw there N'Akkiarlian overlords as gods
It is believed that they had cultural and genetic influences on the primitive ancestors of the Humans, the very few known ancient legends about the N'Akkiarlian colonisation of what they would later know as the "Coruscant Galaxy" mention relationships between the primitive humans and their "gods". Many humans who believe such theories say that humanity gets its militaristic traits and its thirst for conquest from the N'Akkiarla. They also claim that the reason Humans don't look as reptilian as N'Akkiarlians is because after millions of years of breeding amongst humans the N'Akkiarlian DNA has been to watered-down to the point in which it don't affect physical appearance.
It is unknown why the N'Akkiarla suddenly left the galaxy but it is theorised that a catastrophy happened. The "Catastrophy Theory" is backed up by evidence from texts from the time, the texts make scant references to a catastrophy which killed most of the N'Akkiarlian colonists and caused the rest to flee and put the galaxy under a 5 million year-long quarantine. What the catastrophy was is unknown, some say it was natural like famine, drought or a huge outbreak of disease whilst other say another as-of-yet unknown species invaded the galaxy and the N'Akkiarlians were utterly defeated defending their colonies.
We ruled you once, we can rule you again! We are your lords and masters, and we always will be!
—A N'Akkiarlian speaking to GFSS troops after accessing a GFSS comms wavelength
The Great N'Akkiarlian War and the New Kingdom[]
The Great N'Akkiarlian War[]
Human children, why fight for strangers you have no relation to? Join your N'Akkiarlian fathers and together we can form a massive empire stretching two galaxies. I hope you join your N'Akkiarlian fathers, humans, if not then im sorry to say were going to have to conquer you, i would hate to have millions of my human children killed and reduce humanity to a slave race but if you choose to fight your parents then it'll have to be done!
—The N'Akkiarlian king tried to get the GFSS humans to fight alongside there N'Akkiarlian brothers
For 5 months after re-entering the galaxy the N'Akkiarla carved a path to the core worlds (the center of politics in the galaxy) through the Perlemian worlds. The N'Akkiarla enslaved the populations of conquered worlds, using those unwilling to submit to them as lowly laborers, and slave-soldiers, those who voluntarily submitted and pledged their complete obedience and loyalty to their N'Akkiarlian masters were treated better by their owners.
Good boy! By bowing down to your master you have made me happy and I will treat you well, those who voluntarily submit to their N'Akkiarlian masters will be treated well.
—A N'Akkiarlian to a human who is bowing down to him in submission
One of the N'Akkiarlian fleets was battling up the Perlemian Trade Route whilst another N'Akkiarla Fleet which had been coming up the Corellian Run came up against the Neimoidian Purse Worlds. They invaded Koru Neimoidia and quickly defeated the Neimoidian and GFSS defense forces. Around the same time as the Invasion of Koru Neimoidia was taking place the N'Akkiarlians tested their new biological super-weapon called the "V9 virus" during the Massacre of Lianna, in which they tested V9 on the whole planet and killed millions of civilians and military personnel stationed on the planet.
One thing i fail to understand is how the N'Akkiarla think of us as cousins and children yet they were perfectly willing to test biological weapons on us which wiped out millions of our kind on Lianna! Not exactly the best family relationship if you ask me!
—A human historian reflecting on the Massacre of Lianna
Sir! you cant! Think of our human brothers on Lianna! Millions of civilians! Where is the honour? Please stop the launch! Its bad enough were in a huge war against our own family without this! Humanity doesnt deserve this fate!
—A N'Akkiarlian trying to stop the launch of V9, he failed and later deserted
However the Allied forces regrouped and launched the Battle of Koru Neimoidia. However in the end the N'Akkiarlian army was defeat by Neimoidian super-artillery. The dreadnought Ezkrva 'Utiazrupanata-Xurgilgranarr bombarded the Allied army from orbit after the battle was won by the Allied forces and destroyed it. Fortunately the GFSSNS Courage at Yavin was about five parsecs was away and agreed to the request for help by the Koru Neimoidia Commanders. The bombers were launched against the dreadnought, despite taking heavy casualties (about half of all bombers) the dreadnought was severely damaged by the proton bombs, however the dreadnought was not completely destroyed, rather put out of action. The Courage at Yavin bombarded it and destroyed it.
Our brothers fight well, they defended Koru Neimoidia very well!
—A N'Akkiarlian speaking about how his human brothers fought well to defend Koru Neimoidia
The battle had finally been won by the Allies, and the galaxy finally realized that the N'Akkiarla were not invincible, slaves all over N'Akkiarla-conquered space began a revolution against their "masters", however there were no-where near as well equipped and trained as their owners. The total death toll at the end of the war was about 3 billion. However the revolution distracted N'Akkiarlian attention away from vital targets, making it easier for the Allies to attack them. Eventually the jackpot was in reach, the N'Akkiarlan Grand Fleet over Cato Neimoidia. The Allies decided to take the gamble, at exactly 12:32 Coruscant Time the Allied fleet left hyperspace near Cato Neimoidia starting the monstrous Battle of Cato Neimoidia.
Our children have defeated us! i guess our time as the strongest empire in the universe has ended!
—The N'Akkiarlian king upon the defeat of his empire
Although they held on to there galaxy-wide empire after the war the war meant that the belief that they were the ultimate power in the universe came to end, as they felt that had they been at there highest point in power they wouldve defeated the GFSS. The N'Akkiarlian defeat started many to believe that there time as the strongest power in the universe had passed and soon there human children would eventually take over there power.
During the war there were cases of N'Akkiarlian soldiers taking humans as slaves, most of these slaves were beautiful human women, who were favoured by the sex-loving N'Akkiarlian soldiers, many of these slaves were sexually abused by their masters, some to the point of getting pregnant with their master's child.
One example of a human slave to a N'Akkiarlian soldier was Erana Kotas, a human woman from Liinade III who was captured by solder/slave-master Jakkozi 'Zekri-Igzanakezo, who captured her after the N'Akkiarlians took control of Liinade III after the Battle of the Liinade III. Sent to a slave holding sanctuary for a short before Jakkozi's medically discharged friend Aaki 'Eriza-Voygarrina took her back to her master's house where he looked after her until her master returned.
When Jakkozi returned she began her forced servitude to him, he was cruel to her, when she came near him he would grope her and sexual assault her, if she made a bad mistake he would hang her from a rope by her leg from his roof, threatening to cut the rope and watch her plummet to her death, if she made only a small mistake he would spank her with a cane. Soon after she began her slavery to him he dressed her up in a sexy maid's outfit with handcuffs and a slaving collar on as he had a "thing" about sexy maids. He would commonly drag her around by her chains, which would make the slaving collar press against her neck and make it hard for her to breath.
At night he would sexual assault worser than during the day, eventually he managed to get her pregnant, he laid off her until her pregnancy was complete as he didn't want to damage his child, after she had given birth to his son and recovered she was forced to work again.
She managed to escape with her son, and campaigned for the freeing of slaves, she was hailed a galactic hero, because of the bad treatment she received her body started to fail her early, Alexander couldnt bear to watch his mum die, so he put her in a life-preserving suit, this saddened her as she couldnt feel anything against her skin, she got depressed but because she could live forever she worked many years and managed to get expensive treatment which gave her eternal life without the suit and she could remove the suit. Free of the suit which she felt was a metal prison she regained her will to live, but still felt sad at having to watch her descendants die, she feared she would be lonely.
Peaceful return, a new beginning[]
In the year 1,037 the N'Akkiarla returned to the galaxy after leaving for nearly 4 decades once again entered the galaxy, they were peaceful this time, they joined the Coruscant Republic.
Upon entry into the Republic many N'Akkiarla immigrated into the galaxy where they led relatively normal lives and force-sensitive individuals were trained by the Jedi.
Human-N'Akkiarlian relations reach a peak[]
In 1,100 ABY the N'Akkiarla signed alliances with many Human nations, Jyoznarr 'Burr-Hureg helped forge strong Human-N'Akkiarlian relations.
The Second N'Akkiarlian-Jussk'Ravgarok War and ever-strengthening relations[]
In the year 1,299 ABY the descendants of the Jussk'Ravgarok who managed to flee from the Jussk'Ravgarok system before it was absorbed into the Star Empire returned to the galaxy and invaded it. Using 30,000 year old starships which their distant ancestors had fled in they landed on multiple worlds and killed many N'Akkiarlians before the N'AKkiarlian Star Empire and the "Coruscant Galaxy" defeated them. Several worlds were ravaged by the Jussk'Ravgarok.
The Jussk'Ravgarok eventually had to resort to kamikaze attacks on enemy starships because they would rather die than become like their slave brethren. After the invasion had been crushed the N'Akkiarlians located the planet where they were hiding and obliterated it, making free Jussk'Ravgarok extinct.
Around this time N'Akkiarlian-Human relations were going from strength to strength, the two peoples had love and trust for each other.
====The N'Akkiarlian Commoners' Revolution and beyond====#
Many thousands of years later in 2,500 ABY the N'Akkiarlian commoners kicked out the monarchy during the N'Akkiarlian Commoners Revolution. King Arquro 'Zvingo-Szernisolaksjo was removed from office the monarchy was abolished.
After the Common People's victory the N'Akkiarla forged a new period in their history. This new period was based on peace and harmony, the N'Akkiarlians gave up their aggression and led peaceful lives using their vast intelligence to produce new drugs etc, they also reorganised the Star Empire as the Second N'Akkiarlian Confederacy, by giving each system independence and having them elect a representative to sit on the Confederate Parliament.
Government[]
The shadow of our King covers the whole of our galaxy! All of our galaxy is part of our glorious empire!
—A N'Akkiarlian on the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire
The N'Akkiarlian government at the time of the Great N'Akkiarlian War was called the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire which covered the whole of the N'Akkiarl Galaxy. The ultimate leader was the King, he ruled everything in the N'Akkiarl Galaxy. He had several aides which helped him run the Empire. The Star Empire (A.K.A the Second N'Akkiarlian Empire) was formed in 32,950 BBY after Jussk'Ravgarok Space was conquered by the N'Akkiarlians during the N'Akkiarlian-Jussk'Ravgarok War of 33,000 BBY-32,950 BBY. It was formed from the N'Akkiarlian Kingdom Commonwealth.
After joining the Coruscant Republic' the position of Imperial Senator was established, the Imperial Senator would represent the King, the Empire and the N'Akkiarlian People in the Galactic Senate.
The Empire was at its largest in the 1000 ABY after capturing several galactic worlds (e.g. Quermia) during the Great N'Akkiarlian War.
In the year 2,500 ABY the Star Empire was renamed the Second N'Akkiarlian Confederacy, after the Commoners' Revolution, and subsequent granting of independence to all former colony systems, who then formed a confederation with the N'Akkiarla.
Relationship with the Humanity[]
We and humanity are brothers, go back far enough and we come from the same ancestors, our ancestors are Humanity's as well, we are all children of the ancestral N'Akkiarlians!
—A N'Akkiarlian speaking about the relationship between Humans and N'Akkiarlians
Ancient Ingzan legends from roughly 40,000 BBY tell of "multi-coloured reptilian Gods", Gods of all different colors: white, black, purple, green etc. who descended from the heavens and took the Ingza from Earth to the Ingza system, this was not first contact, N'Akkiarlians had conducted a mass reproduction campaign called the Great Birthing with the earliest Earthlings when the N'Akkiarlians had first discovered the planet in 50,000 BBY, resulting in all descendant Humans on Earth having at least some N'Akkiarlian blood. It was from that which the poetic Ingzan term for the N'Akkiara, "Old Fathers", came from.
The ancient Ingzans built temples to their N'Akkiarlian masters, who they worshipped as gods, however when the N'Akkiarla left Ingza Prime soon after, for unknown reasons, most Ingzans forgot about them, and followed the Zeregan religion. For several millenia afterwards scholars and historians had no idea what species was being depicted, though when the N'Akkiarlia made contact and began the N'Akkiarlian-Ingzan War with their distant descendants scholars quickly realised that they were at war with the species which had a good chance of being the first truly intelligent ancestors of the Ingza.
This is really odd! These newly-discovered people are depicted on ancient temples murals within temples our earliest ancestors built to a previously unknown species. The legends and stories on the walls of the temples all say that these people we are now fighting (the Gods) are the creators of smart humans, us! It seems that the Gods had children with the primitive humans and we are those children! Maybe these "N'Akkiarla", as they call themselves, have returned to take back their long-lost children!
—An Ingzan scholar speaking about the possibility that the N'Akkiarla could be one of the earliest truly sentient ancestors of humans
Some claimed that the honourable and militaristic traits many Humans showed were be inherited from the N'Akkiarla which created modern humanity tens of thousands of years ago, the same people also claimed that if this theory was true then the "N'Akkiarla" could be the "Living Ancestors" of all of the Humans of the Galaxy, these claims were investigated and through genes it was proven that the earliest humans had indeed interbred with the N'Akkiarlian colonists, the humans' "Gods", which created modern humans and that the N'Akkiarla taught the early humans technologies like space travel and advanced building materials and techniques which were somehow lost for many millenia.
Also it had been decided that Human had evolved from therapids (mammal-like reptiles), though most believers said that these therapsids had lived around 300,000,000 years ago, the N'Akkiarla gave the other belief that humans were actually descended from reptile-like aliens more ground. The biological similarities of N'Akkiarla and Humanity showed that they must've descended from similar ancestors.
Another theory of familial relationship between Humans and N'Akkiarla was bone structure, aside from their skull shape Human and N'Akkiarlian skeletal structures were virtually identical (other than skull shape the only difference between the two bone structures was that male N'Akkiarlians had more bone density than the bones of their Human cousins because they had more muscle). The N'Akkiarla possessed the same amount of ribs, same joints, same number of fingers and toes etc. as Humans did, therefore it was concluded that Humanity could be related to the N'Akkiarla, if not descended from them.
Many humans though the N'Akkiarla were an amazing species and were very proud to be a child of them, at the same time many N'Akkiarla felt pride at how the humans were there descendants. Another thing which pointed to shared blood was skin, N'Akkiarlian skin was the very same as Human skin, which couldve meant that the modern humans had inherited it from their N'Akkiarlian ancestors but over the millions of years the humans lost the purple, silver, orange, green etc. pigments that some of their N'Akkiarlian forefathers had.
Many Biological anthropologists believed that Human Wisdom teeth were the result of the N'Akkiarlian dental gene, which was present within all Humans, it was believed that in Humans this gene was always overridden by the Human one, which was why Human mouths never extended outwards from the face, like those of their N'Akkiarlian forefathers, due to this the Wisdom teeth, created by the N'Akkiarlian gene, had no room to develop into the Third Molars. Whilst virtually all Humans had Wisdom teeth, the majority of Humans suffered little or no problems with them, yet in the unfortunate few the teeth could push against the Second Molars, causing severe pain.
If you wish for proof that your ancient fathers were N'Akkiarla then just take a look inside your own mouth. Those Wisdom teeth of yours are the result of N'Akkiarlian genes in your blood, genes passed down through your ancestors for tens of thousands of years.
—An Anthropologists during a lecture
The theories were commonly used as counter-arguments by N'Akkiarlians arguing with Anti-N'Akkiarlians, claiming that according to the theories the Anti-N'Akkiarlians hate their own forefathers.
You can hate us all you want, but that won't change the fact that we N'Akkiarla are your forefathers. In a way I'm your father, and I do love you, my son, regardless of what you think of me. Come give your daddy a big hug!
—A N'Akkiarlian to an Anti-N'Akkiarlian
However it appears that it wasn't just the earliest humans who wrote legends about aliens, ancients texts from N'Akkiarlian temples say that N'Akkiarlians from around 40,000 years before the Great N'Akkiarlian War found and were worshipped by mysterious beings on some of the planets they colonized, the descriptions given sounded a lot like descriptions of humans, further re-enforcing the theories.
During the Great N'Akkiarlian War many N'Akkiarlian soldiers fathered War children with human women on the planets they had conquered. Ironically some of them were humanocentric, despite their fathers being aliens.
Many grew up never knowing their true father, as the N'Akkiarlians were defeated and forced to return to there own galaxy before most of them were born. Many of the N'Akkiarlian soldiers wondered what there sons and daughters were doing, many wished they couldve gone back to see there flesh and blood.
Some human women left the Coruscant Galaxy to return to the N'Akkiarlian Galaxy with the soldiers who bedded them, a big reason was because they had fallen in love and had a child with the enemy, and feared being abused and cast out of society for loving the enemy, and they loved enemy soldiers. Some got married to there N'Akkiarlians lovers, because of there love and to spite the humans who abused them loving the one they love.
Me and your mum fell in love and made you during the war, she worked as a secretary, and we fell in love at first site, she was abused by some of her fellow humans for having relations with the "enemy", so she came back with me and we got married, we love each other deeply
—A N'Akkiarlian to his Human son
After joining the galaxy the N'Akkiarla and Humans had many inter-species relationships with each other, the N'Akkiarla mentioned that after their own kind Humans were the most beautiful and were thus only willing to have relationships with either their own kind or Humans. Many N'Akkiarlians, especially those who had human children, saw it as ironic that many humans were Anti-NAkkiarlian even though they are descended from the N'Akkiarla and many Anti-N'Akkiarlians had N'Akkiarlian ancestors and they didn't even know it.
By 1,600 ABY marriage between N'Akkiarlians and Humans was quite common, as was starting a family, some humans didnt agree with members of there kind marrying reptile-like creatures but N'Akkiarlians were practically always fine with Homo-N'Akkiarlian relationships.
Many human women were high attracted to N'Akkiarlian men, because they were highly attractive and desirable by many human women, some human women dreamed of having a N'Akkiarlian as a husband.
Politics and galactic relations[]
The N'Akkiarla were well known by the members of the galaxy for putting conflict before diplomacy, because of their military-based society. They were most infamous for the Great N'Akkiarlian War, a war which the galaxy would never forget.
After the war, they left the galaxy and didn't return until 1,037 ABY. Despite being a combat-orientated society, the N'Akkiarla did have representatives in the Galactic Senate and an embassy on Coruscant. The first Imperial Senator was named Jyoznarr 'Burr-Hureg, he held his position for 10 years until he retired from the position in the year 1,047 ABY and in 1,065 ABY became King 'Burr-Hureg after King Ukvo 'Kre-Kezkan died without an heir.
After Jyoznarr's retirement the seat of Imperial Senator was taken over by the young, head-strong Vlorinag 'Zzyan-Kunimarzabezkando who believed more on increasing the influence of the N'Akkiarlian sentients in the galaxy rather than improving relations which was his predecessor's top priority.
After joining the Federation the N'Akkiarla had either good or neutral relations with all of the species they had discovered apart from their mortal enemies, the Jussk'Ravgarok, whom they had the deepest hatred of. They were most friendly with the peoples of other monarchies, like the Hapans since they shared ideals and used the same form of government.
The "Blood rage"[]
Witnessing the death of a fellow N'Akkiarlian was one of the things that had been known to send a N'Akkiarlian into a Blood rage, when in a blood-rage one would loose control, they would let out a huge roar and go berserk, flooding their system with Adrenaline, greatly increasing their physical strength whilst giving them a higher pain tolerance.
A Blood rage typically lasted until the enraged killed every single enemy they saw, until their blood-lust had been satisfied and/or their fallen brother had been avenged. After the blood-rage the N'Akkiarlian would rest on one knee beside their fallen brother, if applicable, they would then close their dead eyes (if they were still open) and (if killed in combat) read the Prayer for a Fallen Warrior which went something like this: "Lord Drooxda 'Yuzra-Krongri [N'Akkiarlian God of War], please accept this brave, honourable warrior into your Legions of Honour. Let him join his fallen brothers from other battles long ago. Please, accept his warrior soul into your ranks, J'ukra [Amen]".
The N'Akkiarlian would then take his fallen brother back to base for the Wake in which all the warriors would feast in their fallen brothers' honour.
*Roar* You have killed one my brothers! Prepare to meet your end!
—A N'Akkiarlian entering a blood-rage
The Blood-rage terrified the life out of the GFSS soldiers who had the misfortune to be near the N'Akkiarlian entering it, practically all GFSS soldiers feared having to face a very angry giant who wants to kill all enemies. There were many cases of Humans being ripped to pieces or being ripped open by bare hands by N'Akkiarlians in a blood-rage.
Why do we fear the "Blood rage"? Well wouldn't you be fearful of a very angry giant who could literally rip you to pieces with his bare hands!?
—A GFSS soldier on the fear the GFSS soldiers had for the "Blood Rage"
Although blood rages typically occurred as a result of a huge adrenaline rush upon witnessing the death of an ally some N'Akkiarlians were able to enter Blood Rage-like rushes seemingly at will, a type of N'Akkiarlian famous for this was the N'Akkiarlian Berserker, a special form of sword-wielding shock troop who charged the enemy whilst roaring, just before entering battle Berserkers would psyche themselves up by banging their swords and shields and roaring, this alone had a profound psychological effect on the enemy, before the Berserkers had even begun their attack.
Military[]
Long-lost children, why dont you join us? Instead of fighting for strangers why dont you fight for your distant brothers? You and us are children of the same fathers and mothers, unite with your N'Akkiarlian brothers and together we can rule two galaxies!
—The N'Akkiarlian King tried to get the GFSS humans to join him in his conquest of the galaxy at the very beginning of the Great N'Akkiarlian War
The N'Akkiarlian Star Empire possessed one of the largest and most well-equipped militaries ever seen in galactic history, it was massive.
The combined military of the GFSS barely numbered enough to mount a reasonable-sized defence to the N'Akkiarlian Imperial Military. It was estimated that the N'Akkiarlian Star Navy outnumbered the GFSSN by about 3-1 and the GFSSA was outnumbered by the Imperial Army by about 5-1.
They had a very high level technology, their ships possessed a drive which gave them the ability to travel between galaxies within hours and days, they possessed plasma guns, rifles which fired highly-concentrated plasma beams which disintigrated enemies, nanite guns which fired nanobots which disintigrated all they made contact with, their ships possessed shields so strong only the heaviest anti-ship weaponry could bring them down, nanobots which could heal all wounds, even ones made by laser bolts, goggles which let them see through walls, obstacles and the like as well in the dark. During the war they were prototyping a superlaser with the three times the power of the Death Star's superlaser but small enough to be able to fit within a Destroyer's hangar bay and with a biological superweapon called "V9", which was tested during the Massacre of Lianna.
There were three branches of the military: the N'Akkiarlian Army, the N'Akkiarlian Navy, the N'Akkiarlian Surface Navy, and the N'Akkiarlian Marines. There were two different sub-branches of the navy and the marines, this was because they fought on both the surface of planets and in space and if the surface and space forces were part of the same branch then there could be some confusion as to which force was being referred to (e.g. the "Navy" could mean either spaceships or ships which sailed the seas so it was decided to separate the "Navy" into the "Star Navy" and the "Surface Navy").
There were sub-branches like Naval Intelligence, Army Intelligence, Special Weapons Fleet etc. etc.
Culture[]
N'Akkiarlian culture was based around combat and honour. The N'Akkiarlian Warriors had to fight in battle to prove their warrior ancestors that they were worthy of the warrior blood in them. It was the greatest honor for a N'Akkiarla to serve in the military. One of the warrior's favourite things to do was to march to the sound of deep booms of war drums, something every N'Akkiarlian warrior did at some point in their life, the deep booms of war drums apparently awaken the warrior spirit within them, since many Humans had the same experience when marching to war drums some claims had developed about this trait (like many other militaristic traits shown by many Humans) being inherited from the N'Akkiarla.
Because their culture was based on honour they hated mercenaries and Bounty Hunters, whom they regarded as dishonourable and an insult to the honour of their species because they fight for money, not for their friends, their leader or their survival. When they joined the Republic many humans learnt about their new neighbour's culture. Respecting and loving the fact that it was based on combat and honour many militaristic Humans from the "Coruscant Galaxy" moved to the N'Akkiarl Galaxy and changed their culture to the N'Akkiarlian culture, the N'Akkiarlians welcomed them.
You have no honour! There is no honour in fighting for money!
—A N'Akkiarlian to a mercenary
Though some N'Akkiarlians did become mercenaries, Viper Brigade had some N'Akkiarlian members.
Upon reaching adulthood at the age of 20 they took the Test of Adulthood, in which they had to build their own personal sword, which was a part of themselves. A N'Akkiarlian's sword told people that he or she had passed the Test of Adulthood and was officially an adult.
Although they followed the same culture females were noticeably less war-loving and eager to conquer than males. The females were also more diplomatically-minded than males. It was commonly believed that one of the reasons why females were so important to the N'Akkiarlians was they mellowed the males' urge to dominate and conquer a little bit.
As was the case with most sentients at one point the females were not treated equally, they were once dominated by the males, however they became equals when civilisation began in 50,000 BBY and they became politicians and scientists due to their more diplomatic nature and higher overall intelligence than males. It was unknown why this was, but it was believed the amount of testerone in the males made them less intelligent and more aggressive for some reason.
After losing the Great War the N'Akkiarlian males were very angry at their loss but the females persuaded the males that they had deserved to loose for trying to conquer a different galaxy and very brave and some-what intelligent peoples. It was females that persuaded the males to go back to the "Coruscant Galaxy" after the ban from returning ran out in 1,037 ABY and open relations with their Human cousins.
If there was one thing the N'Akkiarlian races really did respect it was the act of giving up one's life to save that of their friend or loved one, which they regarded as the most honourable thing one can do. They even respected and prayed for their enemies who demonstrated this skill. When sentenced to an "Honourable Execution" the sentenced person would have the opportunity to "save" their friend's life. How the execution would work was the executioner would pretend to be about to shoot the sentenced person's friend, the sentenced person would "take the bullet" for their friend, they executed person would then die with honour.

Other Culture[]
Prior to joining the galaxy they were very xenophobic, only having respect and admiration (and even love) for their baseline Human brothers. However after joining the Galaxy and becoming a member of the Senate their xenophobic nature was mellowed a lot, though they still showed xenophobic tendencies years after joining the Coruscant Republic they were no-where as xenophobic as they were in the Pre-Great N'Akkiarlian War days.
And by the year 1,050 ABY they liked many of the peoples belonging to monarchies however unusually they hated Republics despite being a member of the Coruscant Republic, this was because they believed a ruler should be one who directly serves the gods, not someone the Commoners vote for.
They kept servant races like slaves, servant races having to be loyal and obedient to their N'Akkiarlian masters and do whatever their masters commanded of them.
As with many sentients males and females wore slightly different clothing due to their biology, whilst they wore almost the same clothes they were not exactly the same because of things like females needed to cover their chest, which wasn't such a big issue for males, so male clothing typically didn't have anything to cover their chest with, whilst female clothing did to protect their decency and modesty.
Dragons were important in N'Akkiarlian culture as they represent bravery, strength, honour and wisdom. Many armies were led by a banner with a dragon on it. Some soldiers wore helmets shaped like the head of a dragon as it was said wearing a helmet in the shape of a dragon's head would give them the strength of a dragon.
Many sovereigns used a Dragon in there coat of arms and there was a Dragon on the flag of the N'Akkiarlian Star Empire, symbolising the strength of the Empire and the bravery, strength, honour and wisdom of the N'Akkiarlians who ruled it.
Like humans some N'Akkiarla feared ghosts, others however found meeting a ghost to be an amazing experience as they were meeting a brother who had passed on. In N'Akkiarlian culture if warriors saw the ghost of a famous warrior before a battle then the battle would be a major victory whilst if the enemy saw the ghost it would be a major loss for them, this was certainly true of the Invasion of Koru Neimoidia, in which warriors saw the ghost of famed battle commanded Ezkrva 'Utiazrupanata-Xurgilgranarr and the crew on the bridge of the GFSS Star Dragon saw him and Ezkrva's ghost prophesised their doom, and the battle was a major N'Akkiarlian victory.
Alcoholic drinks and culture[]
Our cider's nice, it tastes like apple juice!
—A N'Akkiarlian speaking about N'Akkiarlian
The normal N'Akkiarlian preferred the taste of alcohol to getting blind drunk, so N'Akkiarlian drinks didnt have much alcohol in them, it was rare to get a N'Akkiarlian alcoholic drink which was more than 4% alcohol.
One of the favourites was the premium N'Akkiarlian cider called Blood Dragon, which was usually 4% alcohol, it was red as it was made from N'Akkiarlian Blood Apples and it tasted sweet, like apple juice.
Like nearly all sentient species some did get drunk, and enjoyed getting drunk.
The N'Akkiarla were big ale and beer drinkers. One of the most popular brands of ale was Black Dragon "Nuveet Drako", a very dark ale. Jyoznarr 'Burr-Hureg was known to love Black Dragon ale.
I love a nize Black Dragon! I love a tankard of ze delizious black malty goodnezz! Ale iz a true N'Akkiarlian man'z drink, although our veemen love it too!
—Jyoznarr on his love of ale
Non-alcoholic drinks[]
Tea is our most important non-alcoholic drink, we drink tea all the time, after getting up on a morning, when friends come round, or after a day of work, it has a very important place in our culture.
—A N'Akkiarlian on the importance of tea in the N'Akkiarlian culture
The most common non-alcoholic N'Akkiarlian drink was Tea, the N'Akkiarlians normally drank tea in the morning for breakfast, it was also drank any time of the day, and for social occasions as well, tea was also a commonly consumed drink after love-making.
Cuisine[]
Our cuizine iz heavily bazed on meat, if you love meat then I'm zure you vill love our food!
—A N'Akkiarlian on his peoples' cuisine
N'Akkiarlian cuisine was heavy in meat, for like most humans, N'Akkiarlians were omnivorous, but most enjoyed meat. N'Akkiarlian meat dishes consisted primarily of steaks, barbecued meat, meat curries, sausage, chicken and spicy meat stews. Fish was also a popular of part of N'Akkiarlian cuisine, as were noodles. A popular form of sausage was the N'Akkiarlian Blood Sausage, a form of sausage which had blood added, the blood give it its distinctive taste. Sausage meat came from the N'Akkiarlian Boar.
Whilst both genders of the N'Akkiarla loved meat, steaks were especially popular with males because steak was considered "manly", a meal of steak with a drink of N'Akkiarlian Bitter was considered a very "manly" meal.
N'Akkiarlian cuisine also often combined cheese and meat, the N'Akkiarlian Cheesesteak consisted of a cut of meat smothered in melting cheese, a variation used shredded steak instead of whole steak.
N'Akkiarla also enjoyed having their steak minced, minced steak was typically served as a ball-shape and fried, seared on a griddle, or barbecued, often cheese was added to the minced steak.
N'Akkiarlian Intelligence[]
Do not let our appearance decieve you. We may look brutish, but we are a highly intelligent race, despite what our warrior ways may make us look like.
—A N'Akkiarlian on N'Akkiarlian intelligence
Despite their brutish appearance and combat-orientated culture these people were actually very intelligent (at least twice as intelligent as Humans were), their average intelligence level being 200 - twice that of the baseline human average. They were sapient in every sense of the word. Although the fact that their culture was based around combat means they normally only used their high intelligence when deciding whether to attack another species or when devising new weapons in which to kill as many enemies as possible with the fewest possible losses. Although when they joined the "Coruscant Galaxy" they had the opportunity to use their intelligence for more than just killing. Not all members of this species were warriors, there were some who were Kings (albeit Warrior Kings), Explorers, Scientists, Doctors, Judges, Teachers, King's Advisors etc. They showed how intelligent they were when they created the technology needed to travel between galaxies.
N'Akkiarlians, for a long time, believed that women were smarter than men, because men had testosterone which made them more sexually-minded and brutish compared to woman, which seemed to make them have less intellectual nuance than women, instead prefering more direct means of solving problems. However, men were still highly intelligence, and it was believed the King was smarter than everyone.
Men are stronger, but women are smarter!
—A N'Akkiarlian saying, the N'Akkiarlians later found out their belief in woman were more intelligent than men were shared by the Hapans
The N'Akkiarla believed that a man who thought he was as smart as a woman could cause trouble later on, so ordinary male children were taught they weren't as smart as females and they never would be. They also held the belief that women were better suited for things like espionage and scouting jobs than men, because women could use their greater intelligence to sneak by enemies without being seen, whilst brutish, lower-intellect man would just try to kill all enemies without a thought for noise or the possible consequences of their actions.
When the baseline humans immigrated to the N'Akkiarl Galaxy they had to have special schools set up since the stuff being taught in N'Akkiarlian schools was too complicated for the Galactic Humans to understand.
This super-intelligence meant that during war they balanced their efforts between military victories and studying the enemy(ies) to find out weaknesses to exploit, they researched human anatomy by studying POWs and slaves and came up with a list of human weaknesses which could result in either an instant kill or disabling the human. These weaknesses were told to every warrior and this made them deadly in close-quarters combat.
Rituals[]
There were many rituals which were they performed, most of the rituals were ancient and regarded such issues and loyalty, dominance, class etc.
One of the most famous rituals was the Pledge of Loyalty, which was practiced by both the N'Akkiarla and the N'Akkiarlian Humans. In this ritual the person saying the pledge kneels before the receiver and says (translated into basic):
"O divine one! Do me the honor of accepting my pledge! To my most glorious ruler I pledge my body, mind and soul so my ruler may command me to do as he wishes!"
The receiver can either accept the pledge and take control of the giver's body, mind and soul or can refuse to accept and the giver will remain independent. This ritual was originally believed to have originated when the Humans became slaves but it has been discovered that the ritual is far more ancient, dating back to when Kingdoms were established.
The person giving the pledge is plainly giving up their Free will and giving themselves to their ruler.
Once accepted the giver no longer possessed their own body, mind, soul etc. They all belonged to the person they pledged them to (usually the king) and as such didn't have any free will since they were not an independent being because their body, mind and everything in their entire life was controlled by the person they gave the pledge to.
There was a hierarchy of who to pledge to, because the King could not see everybody. The Nobles would pledge their loyalty to the King, the Sheriffs would pledge their Loyalty to the Nobles and the Commoners would pledge their loyalty to the Sheriffs. Since the Sheriffs and Nobles had all pledged their loyalty to the king, the Commoner's pledge would travel down the line so they would've pledged their loyalty to the King and the Nobles at the same time as they pledged their loyalty to the Sheriff.
It's such a cruel, nasty practice! The fact that somebody has the ability to control of another being and to totally dominate them for the rest of their life makes me sad! The most saddening thing is that the N'Akkiarlians actually consider it an honor to have their very essence of sentience removed so they become nothing more than automatons. When I witnessed a N'Akkiarlian giving away his own body and mind as well as his sentient rights I was actually weeping silent tears. I wish it would stop!"
"I agree, but these people consider it a great honor to be dominated by their king, the servant of the gods. If they like it then why should we intefere?"
"Because they're not robots! They are living beings who have rights! I only hope that now they are part of our Republic they will learn that they have the right to refuse giving their life to their ruler."
"I can't argue with that.
—Two Coruscanti tourists who had watched the Pledge of Loyalty being performed discussing their thoughts on the ritual
HA! You ztand here now and your zurvival depends on my clemency! You and the rest of my zubjectz vill alwayz bow before me, your controller. Zlavez vill alwayz bow before their mazter! Az it iz I'm not clement to traitors, you'll be executed in the morning"
"Then I vill be a martyr to the cauze of zentient Rightz!"
"No, you vill die a traitor and your fellow zlavez vill jeer at you!"
"I vill die a free man!"
"You vill die my zlave, vot you have been zince the moment your parentz created you! And vhen you are dead you vill serve me for eternity in the afterlife! Guards, take him away!
—A N'Akkiarlian king taunting a captive traitor who tried to free himself from his King's domination
N'Akkiarlian weapons and their culture[]
Behold my beautiful sword! Crafted by my own hands, shes as much of a companion to me as my darling sweetheart is! She helped me in taking down a Zsvizik on the day i became a woman, which was also the same day i made her!
—A N'Akkiarlian woman showing off her longsword
Swords were the love of all N'Akkiarlians, and their personal sword was one of their closest companions, it was said that a N'Akkiarlian would rather die than let someone take their sword away from them, because their sword "bonded" with them during the Test of Adulthood, which took place on a N'Akkiarlian's 20th birthday, the day he/she became an adult.
During the Test of Adulthood a N'Akkiarlian would build his/her own sword and kill a vicious predator known as a Zsvizik with it, the sword would "bond" with its owner during the test and successfully completing the test meant that the one taking the test was now officially an adult, before building their sword a N'Akkiarlian would choose what type of sword they wished, the two most common types were the Shortsword for nimble, quick attacks, or a Longsword for heavy and powerful swings. Less commonly, more exotic forms of sword were also chosen, such as the Kvazchak, a form of short sword with a heavy curving blade, which could also double as a Machete.
The longsword was a partcicularly common type of sword, and was a well liked type of sword by N'Akkiarlians, appreciating its range and the power of a swing one could put behind it.
A unique longsword was the "Royal Longsword", which was forged in 50,000 BBY by N'Akkiarl I, the very first monarch of the unified N'Akkiarlian species, and was passed down by each monarch to their heir, the Royal Longsword was a considered a sacred artifact by N'Akkiarlians, a piece of martial heritage of their earliest ancestors.
This sword has been passed down between monarchs for nearly 50,000 years! I cannot tell you how proud and honoured I am to own such a special longsword! This sword is a good piece of heritage from our early forebears! My ancestors have carried this sword for many generations!
—A N'Akkiarlian king explaining the importance of the "Royal Longsword" in N'Akkiarlian culture
Swords were typically "female", with the owner calling there longsword things like "her", "she" and "girl". Some N'Akkiarlians gave there swords names like Slaughterer and Reaper.
Although swords were the most common form of melee weapon, they weren't the only type of melee weapon around, several different forms of N'Akkiarlian War Axe and N'Akkiarlian Warhammer also existed.
Longswords weren't the only two-handed weapons used by the N'Akkiarla, they also used the N'Akkiarlian Battleaxe, and its ancestor, the Ancient N'Akkiarlian Battleaxe.
Aside from melee weapons, early N'Akkiarlians also made use of ranged weapons, the most popular of which was the N'Akkiarlian Longbow, the N'Akkiarla developed as much love for their bows as they did their swords.
Religion[]
There are two separate "N'Akkiarlian religions", one is the ancient religion of our distant ancestors, who worshipped dragon gods, such as Vulukizol, and our modern religion, which deals with worship of Sjzeki, Kazi and their children.
—A N'Akkiarlian briefly explaining the religious beliefs of his people
There were two different N'Akkiarlian religions, the Ancient N'Akkiarlian religion, which had a pantheon made up entirely of dragons, and the N'Akkiarlian religion, which had a pantheon made up of Sjeki, Kazi and their children.
The Ancient religion centered around worship of dragon gods, believed to be mythologised encounters with the ancient N'Akkiarlian Dragon species. The chief deity of the Ancient N'Akkiarlian pantheon was Vulukizol, the "Sky Father". Other notable deities were Kohlohzok, Baaha, Sehfarak, Tujirohsak and Ohlohviin, Zekdak was an evil dragon who tried to usurp the mantle of the master of the universe from Vulukizol, but Zekdak and his followers were defeated and banished to Ashlands, a hellish place consisting of nothing by ash and fire, by Vulukizol, the result was two different factions - the "Good Dragons", who followed Vulukizol, and the "Evil Dragons", the followers of Zekdak who inhabited the Ashlands, Zekdak and his followers were believed to be the result of numerous natural disasters, and constantly tried to turn the N'Akkiarla away from Vulukizol. The punishment for one who submitted to Zekdak was to roam the Ashlands for eternity.
Eventually, the ancient religion became largely extinct and was replaced with the "modern religion", which centered around Sjzeki and Kazi, but also included worship of their children. Despite the mainstream religion changing to worship of Sjezki and Kazi, some N'Akkiarlians refused to abandon the dragon gods their ancestors worshipped.
It is blasphemy to call "Sjezi" and "Kazi" gods! The "new religion" is blasphemous lies designed to lure us away from our dragon fathers by Zekdak! Our true gods are the dragons! Such as Vulukizol, the "Sky Father", and creator of the universe!
—A N'Akkiarlian who follows the ancient religion, giving his opinion on the "new religion".
The creators of everything was two omnipotent N'Akkiarlians called Sjzeki, the God of Everything (also called the Father of Eternity), and his wife, Kazi, the Goddess of Everything (also called the Mother of Eternity). Sjzeki and Kazi were the two oldest god and goddess' and had been born billions, if not trillions, of years before the universe (as the creation story says). The story then goes on to say how Sjzeki created all astrological bodies in the universe, whilst Kazi mothered all life in the universe, including all the gods and all non-sentient life forms as well as all sentient beings. The story says she gave birth to each life form, the N'Akkiarlians greatly respected her for that, which is why she also held the position of Goddess of Childbirth.
Sjzeki and Kazi were said to have created a Dragon species, the N'Akkiarlians believed this species to be the N'Akkiarlian Dragons, and so they worshipped them as "Children of the Gods".
Because the creators of everything were omnipotent N'Akkiarlians very religous N'Akkiarlians believed themselves to be a godly race who deserved the worship of everything as they were apparently the grandchildren of the creators of everything. This belief made some N'Akkiarlians very arrogant.
Our grandparents, Sjzeki and Kazi, made everything! As there grandchildren we are the children of gods, and you will worship us - your gods! We are all-powerful, you will bow before your omnipotent overlords!
—An extremely religous N'Akkiarlian
Despite being the "mother" of life, some N'Akkiarlians turned their backs on Kazi and accepted Xzakka, the Goddess of Chaos and the wife of Zkazztangiloriogna, as their "mother", these N'Akkiarlians were thought of as heretics for believing in the Evil Gods.
Within the first minute of Sjzeki and Kazi creating the universe they both fought their naughty son called Zkazztangilorionga (the God of Chaos) for everything there was as well everything in the future. If Sjzeki and Kazi won then he would remain ruler of the universe and life would live peacefully and well. But if Zkazztangilorionga won then his power would be immeasurable and he would be the owner of everything and would enslave all life in every universe in existence. Fortunately Sjzeki and Kazi won and Zkazztangiloriogna's plan for universal domination was foiled.
As the years went by more gods and goddesses were created by Sjzeki and Kazi, these gods and goddesses were called the "Good Gods" (because Zkazztangilorionga had his own family of Gods and Goddesses, called the "Evil Gods"). The story which tells of the creation of life says the N'Akkiarlians were created by each couple of the Good Gods (depending on their profession), whilst those who followed Zkazztangilorionga and his children were created by the Evil Gods. Example: The N'Akkiarlian Warriors were the children of the God and Goddess of War, whilst N'Akkiarlian Doctors were created by the God and Goddess of Life.
A typical N'Akkiarlian Warrior way of saying good bye was "May Mother Zeko smile upon you", Warriors believed and thought of Zeko, the Goddess of War, as their "mother" because the stories said that the Warriors were the children of Vzkaa and Zeko, whilst Vzkaa (the God of War) was their "father".
A typical N'Akkiarlian insult was "Child of Zkazztangiloriogna!", which meant evil and heresy. There were some N'Akkiarlians who turned their backs of Sjzeko, Kazi and their children (the Good Gods) and accepted Zkazztangiloriogna, Xzakka (the Goddess of Chaos, the wife of Zkazztangiloriogna) and his family as their creators, they were thought of heretics by the N'Akkiarlians who believed in the "Good Gods" and were hated for turning their back on "Father Sjzeki" and "Mother Kazi".
One god the N'Akkiarlians feared upsetting was Zkazztangiloriogna'Kjagartinayaa, the dragon God of Chaos. They believed that as the son of Sjzeki and Kazi, the creators of everything, he still had lots of power despite being defeated by his parents.
The N'Akkiarlians believed that their Human cousins would be rewarded greatly in the next life for being so obedient to them. They also believed that the King was the physical representation of Sjzeki himself and that the Queen was the physical representation of Kazi herself.
Upon death good N'Akkiarlians who followed the "Good Gods" and didnt have a life of crime would be entitled to go to Heaven, a place of love, beauty, prosperity and peace, for ever. In heaven they would meet there family again (when they arrived if they hadnt died yet), or would get the family of there dreams if they had died single and alone. In heaven they would have a nice house, money and other rich things and would be able to enjoy upper-class living for eternity.
Within Heaven existed the Hall of the Glorious, a mighty alehouse open to any warrior of N'Akkiarlian blood who died a noble death in battle, the N'Akkiarla believed that any warrior of their own race or their descendant Human races, such as the Ingza and Earthlings, was able to enter the hall, the Earthlings had their own version of the hall, known as the Hall of the Virtuous, which was essentially identical to the N'Akkiarlian version, and was generally considered a holdover of the Hall of the Glorious, from a time when Earthlings followed N'Akkiarlian customs and beliefs. The hall housed the heroes of the N'Akkiarla, such as Tzaga 'Zlogo-Garrtugari, the "Father of the N'Akkiarla".
However those who followed the "Evil Gods" went to Hell, Hell was a horrible place beyond the edges of the universe, in Hell the souls of the dead bowed to there evil masters and mistresses and indulged in an evil life of sin for eternity, to the "lost" souls in Hell this lifestyle for eternity felt like Paradise. Sometimes a soul from Hell would go back to the land of living so they could drag a living person down to Hell with them, or to tempt and seduce the good into sinning and not being able to go to Heaven (a "Demon"), Demons were feared as they would take there victim to Hell, or would stop a good and rightous soul going to Heaven upon death.
In the living world there were ghosts, ghosts were caused by a number of different things. One cause was that the ghost had sinned only a little, not enough to go to Hell but enough to not be able to go to Heaven and were stuck in the living world for ever. Other causes were tragic cicumstances like murder, accidents and unforseen circumstances also a ghost either feared what was beyond the living world and so chose to stay with their living brothers or didn't know they were dead. N'Akkiarlians feared ghosts because ghosts were almost always lonely and they feared being doomed to an eternity of loneliness.
Psychic N'Akkiarlians could also feel the intense emotions of sadness, depression, loneliness and emptiness radiating from a ghost and could feel the ghost's eternal pain and desire to only be loved again and had been known to make psychics upset and depressed. Some psychics couldn't cope with their "gift" and were known to commit suicide, go mad or abandon civilisation and live as hermits.
Also souls returned to the living world as ghosts, a ghost from Heaven was just a "ghost" whilst a ghost from Hell was a "Demon". A famous ghost was that of Ezkrva 'Utiazrupanata-Xurgilgranarr, who returned from Heaven to haunt his tomb for a while and later returned to tell his descendants of an impending major victory.
Naming[]
N'Akkiarlian names worked the same as Human names (leading some humans to believe the N'Akkiarla tought primitive humanity naming conventions), the first name was the given name and the other two names was the family name. Lile most humans N'Akkiarlians usually didnt bother with middle names, though some N'Akkiarlians did have middle names (e.g. "Vaxda Ozdan 'De-Dergano"). An example would be "Jyoznarr 'Burr-Hureg", "Jyoznarr" is the given name whilst "'Burr-Hureg" was the family name.

Distinctions[]
At 50,000 old at the time of their discovery they were one of the older sentient/sapient species ever discovered, however their N'Akkiarlian Dragon allies were far older, having evolved nearly 90 million years before the N'Akkiarlians.
Despite being reasonably xenophobic against other species, they had good relations with Human races, like the Human race of the "Coruscant Galaxy" and the Ingzan race. Humanity was one of few species the N'Akkiarla admired and had a love for, and wanted to be allied with.
When we see humanity we see ourselves! Inquizitive, intelligent, inventive, headstrong, and honourable. Humanity is a worthy ally of the N'Akkiarla, and we wish one day Humanity and the N'Akkiarla can be united in a great alliance, we consider humans our brothers, we want them to embrace our wish for a Human-N'Akkiarlian brotherly alliance!
—A N'Akkiarlian on Humanity
These people had nearly identical bodily structures as humans, the amount of bones, bone shape and appendages etc. a N'Akkiarla possessed were the same as that of a human skeleton, the only things that were anatomically different between humans and the N'Akkiarla was the N'Akkiarlian skull shape and spinal projections. This was strong evidence for the case of humans beings descended from N'Akkiarla, or having a similar evolutionary history.
The Humans were fascinated by them as not only a "link" between them and their pre-mammalian ancestors but also the N'Akkiarla were probably the only species to give humans an idea of another branch of human evolution, Humans could very well have looked like the N'Akkiarla had there been changes in climate and extinction events etc.
Black and White N'Akkiarla were considered separate sub-species as they evolved differently; the Black N'Akkiarla evolved in the inner worlds, close to the star N'Akkiarl, whereas the White N'Akkiarla evolved in the outer worlds, furthest from the star. Before joining the Coruscant Republic and agreeing to the Sentient Rights Charter Non-Black/White N'Akkiarla were considered genetic mutants, which caused a lot of racism. However after signing the Charter racism became rarer, a purple N'Akkiarlian even became the first senator for the N'Akkiarla.
Other distinctions included their high resistance to mind tricks.
The early N'Akkiarlian settlers had their own accent for Basic, they pronounce Ws as Vs, S' and Zs etc. This accent eventually became extinct.
They were commonly thought of as "reptiles", but this wasn't true - they were actually synapsids like mammals were. As synapsids they were descendants of reptile-like amphibians and the earliest Amniotes but they weren't "true reptiles", their Synapsid ancestors split off from the amniotes like the ancestors of reptiles did, making them distant cousins of reptiles. Their more reptilian appearance was because they were the direct bipedial descendants of the Pelycosaurs and had not evolved in the same way as the Therapsid mammals had, on N'Akkiarl Major the Therapsids (the "Advanced Synapsids") never evolved, the "mammal-like reptiles" (the extinct ancestors of therapsids in other evolutionary lineages) had evolved over the eons into a bipedial form, the N'Akkiarla and the N'Akkiarlian Humans (though the humans were a Pelycosaur/Therapsid hybrid as they were created from both the N'Akkiarla and the humans the N'Akkiarla brought to N'Akkiarl Major when they colonised N'Akkiarl Minor in 10,000,000 BBY). Though the N'Akkiarlians could be classed as "Pelycosaurs" they did not have the sail on their back which most of their Pelycosaurian ancestors had, nature had tried this and decided it wouldnt work and got rid of it, the closest they had to back-sail was spinal projections running down the back, these projections were bones which were attached to the spine and projected outwards from the spine, smaller versions of the kind fownd on Vzkiana, one of the ancestors of N'Akkiarlian races.
Despite the fact Therapsids never evolved on N'Akkiarl Major the N'Akkiarla did show aspects of a Therapsidian anatomy - like the fact they were warm-blooded, had discovered live birth and had a Therapsidian skeletal design, which suggests that at the time of their discovery they were evolving into Therapsids.
Though they didnt look related they were actually close to humans, close enough to at least be regarded as "cousins" by baselines humans.
We are a different form of humanity, whereas humans are Therapids descended from Pelycosaurs, we are Pelycosaurs. We are Pelycosaurs who have evolved some Therapsid traits like giving birth to live young rather than eggs, feeding our young on milk, skin rather than scales and warm-bloodedness, we are evolving into true Therapsids right now! One day we will be considered "mammals"!
—A N'Akkiarlian evolutionist on the evolution and biology of his kind
Despite the average lifespan of a N'Akkiarlian being between 110 and 200 years some have been known to live for longer, in some cases much longer, the oldest known N'Akkiarlian in history was a force-sensitive N'Akkiarlian known as Tvzitargi'Nomida-Zengratilgateri, who lived for 1,000 years, it is unknown how he managed to live so long, it was believed that he had discovered a very rare force technique, but he died at the age of 1,021 in 2,192 ABY.
Behind the scenes[]
The N'Akkiarla were originally going to look like this but the writer felt that the design didn't fit the description enough. The writer then searched Aliens Species wiki and discovered the Sakkra, whom he felt fitted the description of a N'Akkiarlian perfectly.
The "Rage Disease" is based on Rabies
Players of the Mass Effect series of games will probably recognize that the writer took inspiration for the "Blood Rage" from the Krogan ability of the same name.
"Brainshrink Syndrome" is based on Alzheimer's disease.
The idea for a N'Akkiarlian King fathering 238 children came from Pharaoh Ramses II who fathered around 100-110 children in his lifetime.
Vzkiana is inspired by Dimetrodon, and the splitting of the Amphibian lineage in to the Synapsids and the "True Reptiles" was inspired by real events which happened during the late Carboniferous period. /
