The True Enemy is a novella that was written by Kaxs for the Story Contest 2009. It is also part of the Mysteries of a Distant System project, undertaken by Kaxs and N@M3Le$$.
Summary[]
Sometime after the Hundred-Year Darkness, the En'rg-ch Empire - ruled by the former Jedi Knight and Sith Lord, Darita Kaxs I, is at war with the Galactic Republic. Emperor Kaxs I is at his mansion on En'rg-ch when he is called by his apprentice, Lord Kii Xoney, who tells him the En'rg-chan fleet has held the Republic. They agree to rendezvous at the En'rg-chan flagship, the Dark Majesty.
On the Dark Majesty, it turns out that the Republic has been allowed to regroup. After scolding Lord Xoney, Kaxs orders the fleet to attack. In his Sith Meditation Sphere, the Life of Light, he boards the Republic flagship and makes his way to the bridge. There he slays a Jedi Padawan, and engages the Republic commander - Jedi Lord Namelesennius - in battle. After a short duel, Kaxs destroys the viewport, killing Lord Namelesennius. He then departs the ship in the Life of Light.

Behind the scenes[]
The True Enemy was written by Kaxs for the Short Story Contest 2009. In the contest, it was nominated for the categories Best Short Story, Best Old Republic Short Story, and Best Action, ending as 1st runner-up in all three of them.
The Kaxs and Namelesennius featured in this story are not the same as in the Swedish fan fiction Mysteries of a Distant System: Spion. Rather, it is their ancestors.
