The Mugaari pirates were a band of pirates who operated in the Javin sector around the time of the Battle of Yavin. Originally independent, they were quickly put on the payroll of the Alliance to Restore the Republic by the Rebel Alliance Intelligence. Armed with a fleet of freighters and Z-95 Headhunters, the pirates terrorized Javin and surrounding star systems until the Imperial Navy wiped them out.
