The Most Devoted One was a priest of the Salbin faith and the last to bear the Most Devoted One title.
Born and raised on Toriafas, he joined the Acolytes of the God-King during the reign of Chohwelk VI. Rising through the ranks, he continued in the service of Chohwelk VII. When he became an Acolyte of the Glorious Presence, he was made aware that the line of God-Kings was failing and the Acolytes were covertly ruling the Exoi Kritocracy while trying to resuscitate their genetically defective kings. The priest agreed to keep the secret, remaining a loyal servant of the Acolytes. He was promoted to Acolyte of the Most Blessed Flesh, and served for a time as the Acolytes envoy to and observer of the Governing Judges. When the previous Most Devoted One died, the other Acolytes of the Most Blessed Flesh voted him to be the new Most Devoted One. In keeping with tradition, he renounced his birth name, which was lost to history.
The Most Devoted One continued to attempt to breed Chohwelk VII with someone else, without success. In 155 ABY, Queen Rin Sakaros brought the Golden Empire to Toriafas, inviting the Governing Judges to dissolve the Kritocracy and join the Empire. The Most Devoted One sent Jepth to observe the proceedings, and Jepth returned with the warning that the Empire was on its ways to the Temple of Incarnate Glory to see the God-King.
Realizing tha the entire charade would collapse if anyone outside the Acolytes saw Chohwelk, the Most Devoted One attempted to delay Rin and the Governing Judges with his Acolytes, but the Chiss Centurion Vos'elk'eetash simply swept them aside. He personally confronted the party outside Chohwelk's sanctum while ordering three Acolytes of the Most Blessed Flesh to hide Chohwelk. He threatened the Exoi with damnation if they proceeded, but lost face when Rin telekinetically strangled him into silence.
As Rin forced her way in, the Most Devoted One hurried ahead of her to help his Acolytes concealed the God-King, but it was too late, and both the Queen and the Governing Judges discovered the ruse. The Most Devoted One assured the horrified and outraged Judges that he had acted only for the best, to keep the faith alive as they tried to find a solution. When Rin euthanized Chohwelk with the Force, the Most Devoted One flew into a rage, feeling she had destroyed the Salbin faith by cutting off the divine from mortals and rendering all his work meaningless. He threw himself at her, but was decapitated by Tarzg Sav'lir before he ever touched her.
In death, the Most Devoted One and the other senior Acolytes were publicly condemned for the deception, and no other Exoi was promoted to the rank.
