Morid Dosio was a male Human from Osarian in the Expansion Region. A career political operative, he was attached to the Merthian sector senatorial delegation led by Senator Khrys Fenesto. Both men believed firmly in the need to protect Osarian and its region of space, particularly after Vedya Gasald's conquests brought her to Allanteen Six, within striking distance of Osarian.
In 1,384 BBY, Fenesto rallied a number of systems disaffected with Corellia's hegemony over the Corellian Run to pass the Conscription Act out of the Senate Military Oversight Committee with a provision for universal conscription, over Jendaya Rose's objections. Dosio helped Fenesto prepare for a political coup, rallying support across the Senate for the unamended Act; when Supreme Chancellor Nulu Thini allowed each side three speakers to place their arguments before the full Senate, Dosio co-wrote Fenesto's speech.
Despite their best efforts, Rose's "Have You No Shame?" speech swung so many uncommitted systems as to functionally end debate. After the (amended) Act passed, Rose and her allies sought politicial vengeance against Fenesto; he feared he would be removed from SMOC within a month, and considered resigning his Senate seat altogether in hopes that his successor might have a clean slate. Both despairing for his boss and incensed at Rose crushing her opposition, Dosio gradually developed a plan to hire assassins to kill Rose, believing it was the only way to ensure Corellia did not simply strangle off anyone who opposed her.
After weeks of carefully consulting his colleagues and contacts, trying to find a way to hire assassins in the first place, Dosio made contact with a pair of contractors in the Coruscant underworld. When he went to their second meeting at the Mystic, he was met not by his contacts, but Clezik Sattada, posing as a facilitator but secretly a member of the Brotherhood of Shadows and an agent of Darth Alecto. Despite his guilt and moral reservations, Dosio gave Sattada Rose's itinerary for her tour of the Iseno sector.
Some weeks after the events on Denon, the Judicials and the Senate Bureau of Intelligence interrogated the Osarian senatorial staff. Dosio and Belusa Rho were arrested for treason and conspiracy to assassinate Rose. Rho later accepted immunity in return for her testimony against Dosio. Dosio was convicted and condemned to death in 1,383 BBY.
Dosio was married to a woman named Mileste, and had two young daughters.
