The Mission to Coruscant (also known as the Assassination of Cal Omas) was a desperate action undertaken by Darth Abeonis to force the Jedi Order's hand. Its objective; the elimination of Cal Omas.
The priority of this mission meant that a proven assassin was needed; and so Darth Wyyrlok was chosen. Wyyrlok had proven his worth long before the eruption of the Sith Crusade and was considered the ideal candidate by all members of the Sith Council.
The mission[]
Having been smuggled onto Coruscant by a group of Alliance soldiers who had betrayed their government (whom Darth Wyyrlok later executed for this) Darth Wyyrlok found himself having to "blend in" (which was much easier that it would have been later) in order to discover the location of the Chief-of-state.
He correctly anticipated that Cal Omas would be hidden away behind considerable protection in the wake of Darth Abeonis' revelation to Luke Skywalker on Ossus. The Jedi correctly believed that since they had refused the Dark Lord's offer to remove Cal Omas from power that Abeonis would do it himself.
Discovering Cal Omas' location[]
Darth Wyyrlok spent the next few days traveling around Coruscant; discreetly inquiring as to the location of Cal Omas, eventually he got a lead. He became aware of a small arms dealer in The Works area of Coruscant and made his way to the arms dealer's location. While searching for the arms dealer Darth Wyyrlok took the liberty of visiting the very building that had been the birthplace of some of Darth Sidious' most ingenious plans. After his pilgrimage Darth Wyyrlok continued on his way and confronted the arms dealer and, after some persuasion discovered the location of the Chief-of-state.
Assassination[]
Having discovered Cal Omas' location Wyyrlok made his way to the remains of the Manarai Mountains where Cal Omas was reputed to be hiding.
Upon his arrival at the Manarai Mountains Darth Wyyrlok sensed a strong Jedi presence surrounding the Chief-of-state. He determined that in order to eliminate Cal Omas he would need to remove the Jedi presence, and if that failed, remove his own presence.
Darth Wyyrlok called upon the ancient Sith power of concealment in order to hide his presence from the Jedi. So skilled in this art was Darth Wyyrlok that he was able to walk within feet of many Jedi guard's and remained undetected; but he realized that there were some Jedi on the planet; namely Luke Skywalker and Darth Abeonis' former wife Katae-muri. These Jedi would be able to see through Wyyrlok's cloak and would undoubtedly attempt to apprehend him. Fortunately for Wyyrlok however both Luke Skywalker and Katae-muri were on the far side of the compound and not protecting Cal Omas.
He killed Omas in his sleep, impaling him through the chest with his lightsaber blade. It was not long before the death of such an important person so close to some of the most powerful Jedi in history was sensed and so Wyyrlok quickly made his escape.
Just as he approached the exit of the facility he realized that his enemies were aware of his presence and so he ignited his weapon. Cutting down wave after wave of Jedi and Coruscant guard Wyyrlok eventually found himself a transport capable of hyperspace travel, and a Jedi Master protecting it.
The duel[]
Darth Wyyrlok: “Ah, the famous Luke Sywalker, at last we meet. I take it you are aware of my recent…escapade?”

Luke Skywalker: “I am aware. But I am also aware that it is not too late, it is not too late to return to the light!”
Darth Wyyrlok: “You do not really believe that I would do that do you? Surrender myself to the light and repent my sins. Do you truly think I want to do that?”
Luke Skywalker: “No-one is beyond redemption, not even you. Or Abeonis, or Micail or Pantene. You can end this war and bring the galaxy to peace, just as Jasca wants.”
Darth Wyyrlok: “What my Lord wants, and what you wish are two very different things. You will remove yourself from my path or you shall be removed!”
Raising their lightsaber blades both Luke and Wyyrlok prepared themselves for combat. Wyyrlok struck first but soon found that his skill with a lightsaber was infantile compared to that of Skywalker's. Realizing this Wyyrlok decided that his best option was to run, and so he did.
Fleeing to the transport Wyyrlok managed in knocking Skywalker off balance long enough to enclose himself in the transport and escape the planet.
Aftermath[]
Returning to Korriban and reporting his success Darth Wyyrlok found himself being promoted to become a member of the Sith Council. However he denied the offer of the title of Sith Lord for unknown reasons.
