Mishtka Tek was a Quarren Jedi at the time of the Mezzilenic War and was the former apprentice of Jedi Master Tyvokka.

Biography[]

The Quarren Revolution[]

She had passed her trials several years before the Mezzilenic War and as a Knight she fought with the Jedi Coalition against the Galactic Republic. A year into the war she was contacted by senior Coalition figure Arf Fey'lya, who informed her of the terrible situation her people were in under the Mon Calamari. Mishtka then travelled to her homeworld and allied with the Quarren Aroe to lead a resistance against the Mon Calamari.

As Mishtka and the Quarren prepared for their attack, he former master Tyvokka arrived along with his apprentice Derex Pannandio to try and convince her to stop her campaign. She refused and had the two Jedi arrested and imprisoned while she left to infiltrate the Mon Calamari capital with a small force and captured the Mon Calamari government. She used her powers in the force to help the Quarren silently infiltrate the city and they only attacked when they reached the government building.

As the Quarren surfaced in their huge cities to attack the Mon Calamari, Mishtka and her force stormed the Mon Calamari government building and captured or killed many of their leaders. She used the remaining leaders as hostages to stop the Mon Calamari fleet from attacking the Quarren cities and she then helped her troops defend the building from a Mon Calamari counter-attack. The Quarren were victorious but Mishtka was confronted by Tyvokka who informed her that he and Derex had escaped but Derex had been killed in the battle. Overwhelmed by guilt, Mishtka fled her master and the Quarren, heading for somewhere where she hoped she could find peace.

Hunt for the Dark Lady[]

After wandering the fringes of the galaxy, Tek discovered information that led her to the location of the Dark Lady Ugra in the Empress Teta system. She returned to her former master with this information but he and the rest of the Council refused to sanction a mission to deal with her. However Tek was able to contact Jedi Padawan Thame Cerulian, whose master had been taken prisoner by Ugra, and they agreed to go after Ugra themselves. Thame enlisted his master's smuggler associate Hena Glotz who agreed to sneak them into the enemy stronghold. Together they met Thame's former commanding officer Huris Von, who refused to send any Jedi with them but allowed volunteers to join if they wanted. Only the Ithorian Tan-do and the Zabrak Har Kieth joined them, although Von managed to requisition a team of Coalition troopers to accompany them.

The team set off on their mission and landed near Ugra's fortress without too much difficulty and sneaked past the enemy patrols. However when they came within sight of the fortress they were spotted by enemy sentries and they then had to fight their way inside. While some of the troopers formed a rearguard, Tek and the rest of the team headed for a source of dark side enemy in the center of the fortress. Believing that this was Ugra the group were surprised to find a Sith holocron guarded by the specter of the ancient Sith XoXaan. Ignoring the spirit's offer of power in return for joining the dark side, the Jedi moved to destroy the holocron but were confronted by Ugra and her forces.

Both sides engaged each other and Tek fought with one of Ugra's lightsaber wielding bodyguards but was able to kill it through the use of her double-bladed lightsaber. However she found that Ugra had already killed Tan-do, wounded Thame and knocked out Kieth and was moving to finish Thame off so Tek intercepted her and they battled each other in a fierce duel. Although Tek was initially able to put Ugra onto the back foot, the Dark Lady was able to draw on the power of XoXaan and managed to cut her opponent's lightsaber in half. Tek was caught off guard by this, long enough for Ugra to swing her blade around and sever the Jedi's head from her body. However Kieth was able to destroy the holocron and Ugra fled the scene so the mission was a partial success and after the Council were told of Ugra's Sith connections they made finding her their highest priority.
