The Minothians were a race of humanoid simians native to the Mid Rim planet of Minoth. They bore a strong resemblance to the Najibs of Najiba.
Biology and appearance[]
The Minothians were muscular tan-skinned ape-like humanoids with snout-like noses, large black eyes, and a bony ridge that ran between their eyes and over the top of their heads. They also had long brown mane-like hair, shar teeth, and whiskery beards on their faces.
Society and culture[]
Minothians could work for any affiliation and occupation, and could speak in their own native language. They could speak Basic. They were one of the 5 million sentient species (alien races) known to the Empire in the galaxy.
History[]
The Minothians were the sentient descendants of a non-sentient primate species. They evolved on Minoth, a tempertae planet located in the Minoth system within the Masla sector of the Mid Rim. Their homeworld was explored sometime between 1000 BBY and 25 BBY, during the widespread settlement and opening of Deep Core. They shared their home sector with the Jminians and the Nilgarians. It became a part of Republic Space during the Clone Wars. In 25 ABY, their homeworld's population was at least 1 million, the same year the Yuuzhan Vong invaded their home galaxy. Their homeworld became a part of Darth Krayt's Sith Empire in 137 ABY.
