The Milagro Resistance was a native insurgent force on the planet Milagro, formed to resist the invasion force of the Sith Overlord Vedya Gasald during the Conquest of Milagro.
Milagro's government collapsed in the face of Gasald's war machine, but numerous surviving soldiers, military veterans, police officers, and indignant civilians banded together into resistance cells to harass the Sith. Over the first few weeks of the invasion the cells began to reach out to one another and coordinate efforts from time to time, although they remained largely independent, without a single leader.
For some weeks the Rogeum- and Tarbunt City-area resistance cells were aided by a Jedi strike team led by Mali Darakhan. The Jedi assisted in moving civilians to safehouses and refugee camps and tried to protect the resistors, but tensions grew between the two forces; Milagro had not been a Republic world before the invasion, and Milagro did not wish to throw off Gasald only to become a pawn of the other side. Eventually, after an attack on Milagro's government center that left Jedi Master Sil Kadych badly wounded and Sith Lord Darth Vaszas dead, the Jedi fled Milagro. The Resistance used the incident as a diversion to launch coordinated attacks on several Sith prison camps and rescue some of their fellow citizens.
