Mezo Nelon was a Geonosian that was in charge of an organization of anti-Imperialists, including a host of various kinds of Battle Droids. After the Battle of Yavin, he declared his intention to assist the Rebel Alliance. His fleet includes ships stolen from several groups, such as the Hutts, Empire, and even the Zann Consortium. Mezo aided the Alliance for long after they became the New Republic and during the Yuuzhan Vong War. His flagship was a modified Assault Frigate Mark II called the Freedom Rider.
Behind the scenes[]
The idea behind Mezo Nelon came from the Geonosian character IceBite had at one time on Star Wars Combine (although the other was a full member of the New Republic and went under another name). Mezo Nelon now also serves as IceBite's new Star Wars Combine character.
