Merle was a felinoid female of uncertain species, age, and origin. She claimed to have hatched from an egg, which seemed hard to reconcile with her felinoid traits.
Ambrose Ius took Merle as his Padawan in 787 BBY. Merle claimed this event happened immediately after her hatching, despite the fact her appearance seemd to be that of a teenage humanoid.
In 781, Yoda, Ambrose, Zorith, Napl-Ton-Kra, Merle, Big Fat Drunken Birt, Supreme Chancellor Teriben Hadsok, and Vice Chancellor Tulu managed to board the station. Darth Sarait used his light-numchucks to slay Tulu, Napl-Ton-Kra, Merle, and Birt. Sarait was then himself slain by Zorith and Ambrose.
