Post-Legacy era

Consisting of a collection of six chieftains of highly respected Mandalorian clans, the Marshals' Council was an ad-hoc group to manage the Mandalorian war effort againt the Kedd'ej Covenant. The group was led by Field Marshal Ran Dyre until his death during the Marrakesh campaign after which the Cathar Riah took up leadership. Rohan Dyre replaced his father, representing Clan Dyre. After the Mandalorian Knights allied themselves with the Crusaders, their leader Aurek was invited to join the council albeit he only held the rank of Field Marshal nominally.[1]

In 230 ABY, the council called the Rally Master Corso Marek, initially intending to promote him to Field Marshal, but after much deliberation and hearing songs sung about him, it was agreed that he be selected as Mand'alor—the traditional leader of the Mandalorian clans—one of the first to worthy of the title in decades. After his elevation to Mand'alor, Marek utilized the council as his personal advisors.
