For a safe and secure society.
—The Society's motto
The Malvis Cabal, formerly known as the Society, was a criminal organization ruled by the mysterious Malvis. Following the fall of Black Sun, the Malvis Cabal took over as the dominant criminal organization, its reach extending from the Outer Rim Territories all the way into the Core Worlds. It had ties with the First Order and often carried out operations for the First Order.
History[]
Established during the reign of the Galactic Empire, the Society was a secretive humanocentric social club that operated primarily on Coruscant but had locations on other planets in the Core Worlds, including Sedratis. The Society consisted of members of influential families from across the galaxy that gathered to discuss business ventures and other endeavors that would further the expansion of the Empire. Their motto was derived from the words of Emperor Palpatine's Declaration of a New Order.[1]
Following the collapse of the Empire, the Society went deeper into seclusion, hoping to stay out of the eye of the New Republic. At some point, an individual by the name of Malvis rose to the higher ranks of the Society and became its leader. He presented its member with a plan to eventually seize control of the New Republic, and by extent the galaxy, and essentially restore the Empire if only in spirit. To accomplish this, he would use his wealth to secure positions of power within the New Republic for members of the Society and their children.[1]
Membership[]
During the Imperial Era, the Society was comprised of people from wealthy families such as the Prajis, the Tagges, and the Tarkins.
Behind the scenes[]
In its original form, prior to becoming the Malvis Cabal, the Society is based on the Hellfire Club from Marvel Comics, itself based on the organization from the British television series The Avengers and in turn the real-life Hellfire Club.
