Malak'storrar Keed'kak, nicknamed "Doctor Mandible", was a Yam'rii male academic with a doctorate in hyperspace geometry at the Shey Tapani University, who was a regular at the Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina on Tatooine.[1]

Biography[]

Early life[]

Malak'storrar Keed'kak was a Yam'rii male born into the Keed'kak family on Huk, a forest world in Wild Space. Keed'kak lost his parents during the bloodiest campaign led by Grievous in the Huk War on their homeworld and other colony worlds.

At some point in his life he attended Shey Tapani University, located on the planet Procopia in the Colonies' Tapani sector, and graduated with a doctorate in hyperspace geometry.

Marriage to Kitik Keed'kak[]

Some time after his graduation Malak'storrar married Kitik Keed'kak.

Encounter on Tatooine[]

As a cantina regular, Malak'storrar was sitting at the bar of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley when the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin walked in, searching for work.[2]

Sometime later, while Keed'kak was playing a game of sabacc against Peli Motto, Djarin entered the cantina once again, on his quest to locate Mandalorian coverts. Mandible overheard the converstation between Motto and Djarin and subsequently told them about a contact who could help the Mandalorian for his quest. Via translation Motto informed Djarin that he would share the intel with him, should Djarin cover his sabacc call. Djarin agreed, giving Mandible 500 credits, with Motto assuring Djarin that the insectoid was on a "hot streak." Motto then promptly won the game, ending Dr. Mandible's winning streak. Mandible kept his word and told Motto about the person that could connect him with the Mandalorians, allowing for her to translate his speech for Djarin.[1]

Skills and abilities[]

According to Pelli Motto, Dr. Mandible was a capable sabacc player. Although he was unable to speak Galactic Basic Standard, he could understand others who spoke the language.[1]
