These people, they are excellent fighters, they show such courage, spirit and skill in combat, and yet nearly the entire population of their planet is devotedly loyal to Count Dooku, I can't understand why this is, I find their proud obedience to Dooku troubling. However, I understand their loyalty to the CIS, especially now that we have invaded their planet.

Maksi Hikar was a Human male Jedi Knight from Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic, he fought in the First Battle of Earth, but was captured by former Jedi-turned-Dark Acolyte Ahsoka Tano and was given a speedy trial where he was condemned to death. He was personally, and publically, executed by Earth's Separatist ruler, Jane Zarkan. Jane Zarkan had Maksi's execution broadcasted to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, as well as the Republic Senate, as an "object lesson" to the Republic to show what happens when they invade and try and conquer her world.
Pre-Battle of Earth Life[]
Born on Corsucant in 53 BBY, Maksi Hikar studied to become a Jedi during the last years of peace in the Republic, when he was 21 the Naboo Crisis happened in 32 BBY, he was 29 when the Separatist Crisis broke out in 24 BBY, during the Separatist Crisis he did consider the Republic as being better together, but he didn't agree with the rising calls for aggressive action against the Separatists, he thought diplomacy was the best course of action.
Later on, in 22 BBY the Clone Wars began, and he decided military action was the only course of action left.
The Battle of Earth[]
On the planet Earth, strife there is, split their planet in half, the Separatist of Earth have. Concerned we are, of Earth's devotion to Count Dooku, to Earth you must go, solve this civil war that has split the people of Earth in two, you must. Dangerous, this mission will be, against nearly the entire population of Earth, you are!

Maksi received a mission from the Jedi Council, in which he had to go to Earth and resolve a civil war, in which the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the CIS-aligned Confederate States of Earth, under the leadership of hardcore Separatist loyalist Jane Zarkan, fought the pro-Republic Union of Earth States.
The Republic had already been conducting a proxy war against the CIS and CSE by allying with the UES, however because of Jane Zarkan's leadership, the loyalty of the vast majority of Earth's peoples to the CIS, the proxy war had failed to deliver adequate results that the Republic Senate had been looking for, the proxy war had barely scratched Earth's Separatist forces, nor had it stopped Earth from siding with the Separatists. The failure of the proxy war meant that the Republic Senate voted overwhelming to invade Earth, despite pacifist senators like Padmé Amidala voting against such a militaristic course of action.
And so the battle begins, for the Republic!

As the Republic invasion force exited hyperspace they encountered a huge CIS/CSE blockade fleet, consisting mainly of the Confederate States of Earth Navy's prime fleet, the Confederate Grand Fleet, the Republic's move had been expected by the Separatist leadership, and Earth's defence forces had been built up, amongst the ships defending Earth was President of the Confederacy Jane Zarkan's personal flagship, the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Velociraptor.
The Republic ships found it almost impossible to break through, for the Separatist naval forces were commanded by some great naval tacticians, such as Grand Admiral TX-29 and Admiral of the Grand Fleet Catherine Ward. However, despite Separatist success in the space battle, Maksi Hikar, Rho-47, and some other Clones managed to break through and land within Union territory, though cut off from Republic help, they were reliant on the help of the pro-Republic natives.
They were found by soldiers of the Union Army, and were taken to meet the Union President, Richard Williams. After which they joined Commander of the Union forces, Jon Sasha, in preparing for a ground battle against the Separatist forces, it was decided to deploy all tanks and armoured vehicles in a single big attack, against both Maksi Hikar and Rho-47's advice, this mistake would later prove costly.
As the Republic forces neared Mollun, a Confederate border city, they encountered a large Separatist mechanised army, Jon Sasha had his tanks open fire, despite advice from Maksi Hikar to hold fire and not draw attention to them, this blunder meant that the vastly superior Separatist forces were able to pinpoint and destroy the Republic forces, the Republic vehicles were picked off one by one by Separatist tanks, ground attack aircraft and anti-tank teams, the Separatist forces, under command of former Jedi Ahsoka Tano, charged in and swiftly routed the Republic forces, the fighting skills of the CSEA soldiers took Maksi Hikar and the Clones by surprise, they had not expected the natives to be such expert fighters.
In the end, all of the Clones and rebels except Rho-47 were killed, both he and Maksi Hikar were captured alive by Ahsoka and taken to Zarkan City, the capital of the Confederacy, on orders of Jane Zarkan, to await public execution. After a speedy trial in which they were condemned to death for mass-murder and invading and attempting to conquer Earth, they were publically executed by Jane Zarkan herself in the main square of Zarkan Town.
Jedi slime, you are found guilty of mass murder, in reference to the many Confederates who died under your invasion, and for attempting to conquer, and deny the independence and liberty of, the Confederate States of Earth, my nation, and the free people which owe their allegiance to her, therefore on behalf of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and the Confederate States of Earth, I hereby pass sentence that you will be taken to Parliament Square in Zarkan City, there you will be put to death by the separating of your head from your body, by my hand. Guards, get this scum out of my sight!

Public opinion for Maksi was divided, to the Jedi he was a hero who fell in the line of duty, whilst to most people of the Earth he was reviled and despised by them as the man who led the attempted invasion and conquest of Earth for the Republic they loathed, the pro-Republic and pro-Union people of Earth, however, viewed Maksi as a hero.
Personality[]
We cannot lose this battle! The Earth has almost unlimited resources which the Separatists want to fuel their war machine, and Earth has the potential to be a great shipbuilder, possibly even being able to rival Kuat! That aside we cannot afford another Jabiim.

Maksi Hikar was loyal to the Republic, though he did understand the grievances the Separatists had for the Republic, and that they were tired of the Republic's corruption, however he felt the Republic was better together, though he did not advocate using military forced to force the Separatists to rejoin the Republic, he though diplomacy would be a better course of action.
Despite his desires of not going to war with the Separatists, he was prepared to do it if he had to, in 21 BBY he became a Jedi General, and was given a mission to end the Earth Civil War raging between the pro-Separatist Confederate States of Earth and pro-Republic Union of Earth States, he saw the potential Earth had to become a great shipbuilder for the Confederacy, and he was eager to not see another Battle of Jabiim, a recent catastrophic battle for the Republic.
Although the soldiers of Earth were his enemies he had respect for them, he considered them great fighters, and admired their skills as warriors, he also admitted that he considered the battle cry of the CSEA to be terrifying, and that he felt intimidated by it.
