Luewet Wuul was a male Sullustan who represented his homeworld of Sullust in the New Republic Senate before being thrust into the position of Chief of State as an unwitting pawn of the resurgent Sith.

Biography[]

Luewet Wuul came to serve as the Senator of Sullust after his predecessor Tian Nek was killed during the Glorian War. In 40 ABY, Wuul was among several senators who opposed Chief of State Via Eerin's move to allow the Imperial Remnant an expansion of their territory with an addition of twelve sectors.[1]

Not long after, the Sith Lord Darth Taral revealed himself to the galaxy and, through his minions planted within the New Republic, pressured the Senate to remove Eerin from office. Senator Wuul was subsequently elected to replace her as Chief of State, though his unpreparedness for the office left the Galactic Alliance vulnerable and allowed the Followers of Taral to carry out their plans with little interference.[2]

Following the defeat of Darth Taral, the Senate immediately began reviewing their decision to elect Wuul in the first place and all factions within the Senate pushed to remove the Sullustan from office and replace him with a more effective leader. In 42 ABY, Wuul hosted a party on Coruscant and invited several senators, including his opponents, in the vain hope of improving his image and garner support in the face of opposition. However, Wuul was easily overshadowed by some of his guests, including Senator Tyron Valrisa who was in the running to replace him as Chief of State. As he wallowed in self-pity, Wuul accepted a drink from a server—in fact the assassin Vixen—and the drink caused him to go mad, driving him to jump out a window and fall to his death. With his death, Senator Nensu Kaatik assumed emergency control of the Senate as it oversaw the election for Wuul's successor.[3]
