Lucian Aetius was an attributed young officer of the Galactic Empire during its prime, born on Coruscant during the last years of the Republic and growing up in the Galactic Empire, he spearheaded the opposition to Ars Dangor's claims to regency, he was a founder and his efforts were rewarded with the position of Grand Moff in the new Empire.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Lucian was born to the ancient Aetius family, a family long known for their support of the Republic through membership in the Senate Guard and the Republic's Judicial Forces, fighting on behalf of the Galactic Republic. When the Clone Wars began, Lucian's father was a promptly made a captain of the Deliverance, a Venator-class Star Destroyer.
His family was well regarded during the Rise of the Empire, Lucian graduated at the top of his class at the Imperial Academy on Cardia, and was speedily promoted to the Storm Commandos. He spent many years with the Commandos, until the same year of the First Death Star's destruction, his father lost an entire Star Destroyer offering safety to Rebel sympathizers.
Lucian had to repair his family reputation, assets and transferred across to the Imperial Navy, being given a new Imperial II-class Star Destroyer that the Emperor ironically christened Mercy. He commanded for many years, until in 4 ABY, when the Emperor made him Sector Admiral of the Beshqek system.
He remained in station and defended the system, being given command of the Bellator-class Star dreadnought: Emperor's Glory, until the Emperor's final death in 11 ABY.

Lucian Aetius spearheaded the evacuation of Byss following the arrival of the Eclipse II and the destruction of the Galaxy Gun, he had a brief window and managed to evacuate many, not enough to stem the great losses however when the particle disintegrator warhead finally made planet fall.
He was in command of the Byss Remnant Forces when Ars Dangor announced himself the "Imperial Regent" of the Galactic Empire in the Emperor's absence, nothing more than an elicit power-grab, Aetius refused and denied this claim causing the Remnants to split down the middle in a political and military standoff.
Personality and traits[]
Lucian was known for his stoic, extremely intelligent, and calculating demeanor, but also his cold, manipulative, and often unfettered attitude, even for his family. The only person he held any sentiment towards was his late wife whom he loved dearly, having died giving birth to their son.
After his father's death in offering mercy to Rebels and the near ruin of his family in his absence while among the Storm Commandos, Lucian had to rebuild his family's fortunes almost single-handedly, and sees outward signs of caring and emotion as the same kind of weakness that his own father showed.
Despite this however, Lucian was faithful to the leadership of the Empire and chose efficiency over familiarity, making sure that all members of the Imperial Military did not slack off and instead remained at the peak of fitness and efficiency. His loyalty, and hard stance on the outlook of the Empire, made him the strong back in which supported the new Empire as it was formed.
Physical Appearance[]
Lucian was a tall, slender, broad-shouldered man in his fifties. He has kept the frontal lobe of his head shaved ever since he started going bald, but grows out bushy graying side-whiskers and at the back of his skull, and has blue eyes flecked with gold.
Skills and Abilities[]
Lucian himself was not Force-sensitive, or not strong in the Force, although his military genius and insight did give people pause to question his capabilities. He was a charismatic man, but also radiated an aura of fear that made others pale in standing up to him, people respected and both feared him.
Lucian was an expert marksman, having been among the Storm Commandos until his father's death, where he took over as Captain of a Star Destroyer. He was also well affronted with Strategy and Tactics, able to lead forces on the ground but more so in space, with terrifying effect.
Lucian also earned fear and respect from his colleges, he was charismatic and knew how to play the political arena from generations of his family being at the heart of the Galactic Republic, he could construct an entirely new Empire and lead a war on behalf of this Empire.
