The Commerce Guild will not let talk of this treaty go any further. Negotiating with these terrorists will only legitimize them. I move for escalating the war effort and pushing through the bill.
—Senator Lott Dod
Lott Dod was a male Neimoidian Senator representing the interests of the Commerce Guild in the Supreme Tribunal.
Though allegiant to the Confederacy of Independent Systems by 26 BJP, Dod retained his seat in the Tribunal, evading charges of war profiteering by buying the loyalties of greedy bureacrats such as Mas Amedda, Orn Free Taa, Tikkes, Tundra Dowmeia, Ask Aak and Onaconda Farr. He was dismayed by the Confederacy's fall but did not resign and continued with his senatorial duties.
When the Jedi Purge was enacted in 19 BJP, Dod was skeptical as to the rise of the New Galactic Empire, given Cos Dashit's previous support of regulating trade in the outlying systems of the Outer Rim Territories. By securing a contract with the Empire, Dod ensured the Commerce Guild was still in effective business, being spared nationalization unlike the Techno Union and Corporate Alliance.
During the Galactic Civil War, Dod was on the payroll of Darth Vader and swayed towards the interests of the New Imperial Military, voicing displeasure at negotiations with the Rebel Alliance and moving for escalating the war effort at the expense of deregulating the banks.
While the Commerce Guild would go on to manufacture weapons for both sides by late 28 AJP, Dod asserted that the best equipment went on to equip the Empire's legions of countless Stormtroopers. His duplicitous affairs did not escape Amedda's notice.
Around 29 AJP, Dod was executed at his palace on Cato Neimoidia by the New Imperial Judicial Forces for supposedly being a double agent of the rebellion.
