Lorus was a Korribanian Kissai-Human hybrid of the Old Sith Empire remembered for his part in founding the Second Predorate of Mure in the years following the Sith genocide of 4999 BBY.[1][2] He served as the first Sith Diarch of the Second Predorate and was revered by his descendants long after his death.

Biography

Early life

Born into the Kissai priest caste on Korriban during the Golden Age of the Sith,[3] Lorus pursued a career in the Old Sith Empire's navy. In his capacity as captain of the Derriphan-class battleship Koshottoi, Lorus fought in the Great Hyperspace War and participated in the Battle of Coruscant[4] and Second Battle of Korriban.[5] During the Republic's subsequent counter-invasion of the Stygian Caldera aimed at the systematic extermination of the Sith species,[1][2] Lorus and the crew of the Koshottoi assisted the various paramilitary resistance movements opposing the Republic.

Arrival on Mure

Eventually, following in the wake of other Sith refugee groups,[3] Lorus led eight hundred seventy-five Sith-blooded survivors crammed aboard the Koshottoi into the Unknown Regions in search of a refuge world far from the influence of the Republic. Stumbling upon record of the Mure-Lehon Bypass—an ancient Rakata hyperlane—Lorus and the crew of the Koshottoi rediscovered the forgotten Infinite Empire fortress world of Mure and fought a brief war with native Rakata remnant. In the years that followed, the Sith and the Rakata put aside their differences and united to form a coalition government called the Second Predorate. Lorus served as the first Sith Diarch of the Predorate along with his Rakata counterpart Tuo.
