The Long Night of Solace... truly the greatest achievement of Tachibana Heavy Engineering, and our most precious treasure. Some may think of it as just a war machine, a warship built for war and destruction, but it is a lot more than that. It has a soul and its ability to instill fear is unchallenged!
Chief of the Eclipse Navy[src]

The Long Night of Solace[1] was an Executor-class Super Star Dreadnought that was built to serve as the flagship of the Eclipse Navy as well as the New Empire itself.[1] It was the only Executor-class Super Star Dreadnought as construction times for the class took long and had cost seven hundred and fifty thousand billion credits, nearly 46% of the Empire's budget.[1]

The ship served as the command ship of the Fleet of Imperial Justice.[1] Commanded by the Chief of the Eclipse Navy, this extremely large and powerful warship was capable of dealing high damage to any other ship smaller than it, including an Eclipse-class Star Dreadnought.[1] With tests been done, it was proved that the warship could withstand the firepower of two Eclipse-class Star Dreadnoughts or five Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts before the shields would drop.[1] However, it was speculated that it would not survive a superlaser—like the ones found on the Death Stars and the Eclipse dreadnought itself.[1]

It also served as the headquarters of the Joint Chiefs of the Military where they met with each other on a monthly basis to discuss, debate, and decide on matters related to the Eclipse Military.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Despite being the flagship of his Empire, President Fall preferred the Midsummer Night over this warship, according to his journal.
    • Due to this, he rarely ever set foot on the warship, even for meetings which he attended by hologram.[2]
