The Lonara Cult was a Group of Jedi who became disolutioned with the orders ways in serving the republic, they saw corruption in the republic and saw that the jedi were no longer the protectors that they claimed to be and had deveolved into nothing but Politicians and Republic lackeys.
Founder:
Master Warlock was a jedi who was very ambitious, he was often feared by the council that the dakr side had cast its shadow over him. he founded the cult in order to 'preserve' what the jedi were built for, proving his views were somewhat controversial. And he began to seclude himself from the rest of the jedi order.
Headquarters:
The Cult Wanted to Seclude themselves and thy chose the planet Lira san in the middle of a Nebula in order to stay hidden. they built a temple on lire san and it became their hidout and refuge. However they also built several Temples Scattered across the Galaxy, Including on Anch-to however it is not on the same island where the jedi texts are stored. they did also have bases on the planet ossus and a compund on Coruscant and even a small temple in a remote part of tython.
Leadership:
The Cults greatest leader was master Riddle who greatly expaded the cults influence and he built many temples acorss the galaxy and he was the one who bought the cult into it's golden age, he lead the cult from 2054 BBY until 2000 BBY his two succesors battle to succeed him and the cult became fragmented, it was eventually disbanded in 1996 BBY, however is was resotred in 1982 BBY, under the leadership of warrior named Madge : she kind of just worked to keep the cult going, however she cult fell into civil war after madge died under mysterious circumstances.
Forming:
After Master Warlock's ideology became known he gained a following, this made the jedi council nervous, and one day a jedi turned his saber on, Warlock then fought ad defeated the jedi, but did ot kill him and he and his followers fled tython and landed on lira san and built up from there.
Temples:
They had temples built on ossus,coruscant,nar shaddaa, they even got a compound on coruscant but thta fell to the republic, and that is what alerted the republic to the cult's existance, they were the first to discover Anch-to in more than 30,000 years. (their temple on anch-to is not the one from episode 8). their biggest was of course on lira san. it was carved into a huge mountain.
Weapons:
They used mainly lightsabers but also staffs and swords.
