This is an incomplete list of various legions of the Morsian Army. The legions formed the main part of the Morsian army, and in the time of the Morsian Empire they formed the central part of the modular army system that the empire relied on. The legions themselves formed the central module, or core, and were capable of having additional units named auxiliaries attached and detached as needed. Over the course of the existence of the Morsian state, legions were raised, destroyed and disbanded over time as situations came and went. The legions, however, always remained in existence in some capacity.
Over its long history, the legions underwent many changes including units, equipment, tactics and size amongst others. An emphasis was always placed on training, professionalism, and strength with the aim to project power and give a view that the Morsian army was unbeatable.
The legions were identified by a unique and distinct emblem and a numeral in Old Morsian which were displayed on a roughly square piece of material that was attached to a standard, or vexillum. Sometimes the legion was bestowed a motto or nickname for various reasons, however this was not always the case. After the Morsian Empire was discovered by the Jedi in 10,000 BBY and Galactic Basic Standard became understood by the Morsians, the legion name, number, and motto if applicable was translated into Aurebesh and placed directly under its Old Morsian counterpart on the standard.
Late Kingdom legions[]
The end of the Morsian Kingdom was the inauguration of the Royal Morsian Army, the first permanent and organized armed forces of the Morsian state. It had undergone several changes before the legion format had been settled on, but under the ending reign of Caesar Tarqui'in I, the Royal Morsian army had been formed.

It also underwent radical structural changes amongst other upgrades and additions. By the end of the dictatorship, the army had swelled to enter double digit legion numbers.

First Republic legions[]
The First Morsian Republic saw the first major period of successful conflicts fought by the Morsian army. Up until this point, their previous wars had been hard fought and ended in desperate defenses or high risk gambles. Partly thanks to the success of the Second Morsian-Sicc'orax War, the Republic had an easier time expanded due to having no competing power in the region following the defeat of the Sicc'orax. After an early period of instability, the republic rebuilt the legions destroyed by the civil war and raised numerous additional legions to further complete their conquest of their home continent, Virconis.
