Lieutenant (CT number unknown), was a Clone Lieutenant in the 666th Legion of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Like all early clones, Lieutenant was created on Kamino, where he went through basic training before being assigned to a Jedi and clone legion to serve in the army in the upcoming Clone Wars. However, during the First Battle of Geonosis, he was somehow captured and separated from his original legion and taken to a droid factory for experimentation.

Joining the 666th Legion[]

Whilst unconscious at the factory, the Separatists experimented and performed surgery on his head, causing memory damage. Whilst the 666th Legion was besieged in the same droid factory later in the battle, the Jedi Master Urde Ra'akdoon who was in command of the 666th Legion, stumbled across the clone being experimented on. After being woken up, he could not remember any details after finishing his basic training on Kamino. This extended to his CT number, original Legion and Jedi he was assigned to. He was only known by his armor designation, which was nearby, leading to Ra'akdoon naming him 'Lieutenant' and offering him a place as his new second in command, as Ra'akdoon's own had been killed earlier in the battle. With no alternatives, and feeling indebted to Ra'akdoon, Lieutenant accepted the offer and quickly settled into his new role as second in command.

Order 66[]

Lieutenant did not act upon Order 66 when he received the transmission from Darth Sidious. He was on board Ra'akdoon's Venator-class Star Destroyer flagship the Infiltrator II along with the rest of the Jedi. He was on the bridge with Ra'akdoon, the Four Troopers and two other Jedi whos fleet they had met to exchange information. After the transmission, he was initially confused, but upon seeing his clone brothers about to turn on the Jedi, he shouted a warning to both them and Ra'akdoon. This succeeded in saving the lives of the Jedi and the four troopers, as Ra'akdoon knocked them out and defended them against the Jedi, who were willing to kill them as potential traitors.

After this, he aided Ra'akdoon in getting some spare 666th Legion armor for the Jedi to wear as a disguise, as well as contacting the other fleet to persuade them of the death of the Jedi, leaving the 666th Legion alone in space. He then travelled to Coruscant and the Jedi Temple with Ra'akdoon and the two disguised Jedi to retrieve their belongings. Whilst there, he along with the other, saw the hologram recording of the Siege of the Jedi Temple as well as Anakin Skywalker's killing of the Younglings.

After escaping from the Jedi Temple, Ra'akdoon had Lieutenant's head scanned in the medbay of the Infiltrator II, as well as the heads of the other clones who did not turn during Order 66. Whilst comparing the scans, they discovered the bio-chip implanted in the heads of the clone troopers which was missing from the head scan of Lieutenant and the other loyal troopers. After the removal of this chip from another clone in the medbay and their subsequent reversal to their behavior before Order 66, the group deduced that this bio-chip was what controlled the clones to turn on the Jedi, and that Lieutenant missing it caused him to have no effect.

He was present when the rest of the clones of the 666th had their chips removed and Ra'akdoon subsequently told them the truth about the end of the war and the further plans he had for them. He joined Ra'akdoon in seeing the Jedi off when they landed them on a planet to be exiled on and was emotional after they left, like the others, due to the sudden realisation of the last few days. However, he was supportive in Ra'akdoon's further plans to exile the Legion and begin a new life.

Life after Order 66[]

Lieutenant remained Ra'akdoon's second in command and the primary manager of the vast farm on Tokanga III, the friendly planet to them that they exiled themselves on. Lieutenant dealt with a lot of the farm's managing side as well as aided Ra'akdoon in the monetary side of it as well. He was content in his new life, which was more peaceful than the war he had been created for, and whilst Ra'akdoon stated that he was freely allowed to join either the Rebellion or Galactic Empire, Lieutenant was too loyal to Ra'akdoon to even consider the offer.

Later life and death[]

Lieutenant remained on the farm and grew old along with the other clone troopers, who due to their advanced aging, were rapidly becoming older during the rise and slow fall of the Empire. Many started to grow ill or lame as the Empire started dying after 0 BBY, though Lieutenant kept his health for a while. Soon, though, he too started to feel the strain of age and died at some point after 5 ABY, peacefully at the farm.

Personality[]

Lieutenant was, like any other clone trooper, very loyal to the Republic, willing to give his life for its cause. He was also very loyal to the Jedi Order, whose members he served under. He was especially loyal to his adopted legion and its general, Ra'akdoon, willing to do anything to protect them. He was firm but lenient to his men, making him well liked by the clones under him, having a strong bond to them and their mutual respect.

Relation to others[]

Urde Ra'akdoon[]

Lieutenant had a very strong and close bond to Ra'akdoon, feeling indebted to him for his part in both saving him from the Separatists as well as adopting him into the 666th as his second in command. As such, he willingly followed Ra'akdoon with whatever he asked or wherever he was going, trusting his judgement. Ra'akdoon confided much in Lieutenant and told him many of his own secrets as a confidant, making their bond even closer.

Skills and abilities[]

Lieutenant was a skilled commander and competent leader, making him an excellent second in command for the 666th legion. The men were confident in his abilities and willing to follow him into battle, regardless of the outlook. He was fearless and excellent at raising morale even in the most darkest of situations. He was a skilled marksman with a blaster carbine or rifle, though he usually used two pistols instead, becoming highly skilled in targeting multiple opponents in a battle.

Equipment[]

Like all clone troopers, he wore his white clone armor, though with the distinct pattern of the 666th legion. He originally wore a phase one helmet but changed to a phase two helmet as the war progressed. In addition to his regular armor, he also wore Kama blast armor and a protective Pauldron on his shoulder, with identifiers of his rank. He always carried his duel wield DC-17 pistols and a couple of Thermal detonators on his belt.
