The Library of Xer was an ancient library built by Xer VIII during the time of the Xim's empire. The library was compromised of an extensive network of furnished and secure tunnels that housed many of the library's more prized artifacts and treasures. Entire sections were locked off due to security measures that the Pentastar Alignment's archaeology teams attempted to access.
Their findings consisted of ancient accounts of long lost force powers, artifacts with a great affinity to the force and further leads on archaeological excavations worth undertaking across the planet. An entire research community overseen by the Alignment spawned from the findings. Due to Ardus Kaine's personal investment into the excavations, the planet was virtually erased from all major archives, internal communications were monitored and a fleet armed with an experimental interdictor guarded the planet at all times.
The privacy and security safeguards were largely successful. Only a rare number of high-ranking Imperial officers ever learned of the library's existence and even then the true significance of the findings were never truly made aware to them.
