Levantar was a Planet located in the Colonies Regions. It is the base planet of operation of the Core Manners Industrials corporation and the homeworld of Jedi Master Semys.
History[]
Old Republic Era
Levantar was uninhabited Until about 3876 BBY, at the behest of the Galactic Republic, Core Manners Industries established themselves on the planet attracting several humans from planets of the Colonies and the Inner Rim to immigrate to Levantar in order to work in the industries.
In a short time Levantar became famous for the galaxy for being a great exporter of droids, mainly of Medical Droids. As 3795 BBY, Levantar was already known as an industrial planet of great importance for the core of the Galaxy.
Due to its great commercial importance. Rising has become a focal point for several crime syndicates and Bounty Hunters. Even the Galactic Senate looked at Lavantar with a desire to transfer the Levantar industries to a planet with more resources and closer to the Core. Actions that were harshly criticized by the Jedi Master Semys during his stay as a member of the Jedi Council.
Later, Levantar started to produce ships in addition to droids. Many of its ships were used by the armies of the Republic until the Ruusan Reformation.
Clone Wars
During the Clone Wars, Levantar remained loyal to the Republic. It also received several battles against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Jedi General Pablo-Jill led his legion of clones across the planet during the last years of the Galactic Republic.
Galactic Empire
After Order 66, he hears the mood of a Jedi hiding in Levantar. The rumors were so great that an Inquisitor was sent to search for the exiled Jedi, but found nothing.
A few years before the Battle of Yavin, Smuggler Han Solo landed the Millennium Falcon several times in order to repair it. During one of his visits he got involved with a girl from the planet and killed the husband of his beloved lover in a moment of anger.
