Laré Veruna was a Human female resident of Naboo who was the youngest daughter of the former King of Naboo Ars Veruna. Following the Invasion of Naboo, she met a young Judicial Forces officer by the name of Maximian Tranner to whom she was eventually married.

Biography[]

Early life[]

As the daughter of the King of Naboo, Laré Veruna grew up in the Theed Royal Palace and attended the Royal House of Learning. Perhaps in part due to her family's sordid reputation brought about by her father's corruption, she intentionally remained out of the public eye and made no attempts to pursue a career in public politics upon coming of age.

Her father's death did not greatly affect her, as he had invested little time in his children during their youths and consequentially had no real relationships with any of them. She remained a little known independent artist living in a Theed studio apartment who preferred a life of solitude to the political games of her Theed compatriots.

Invasion of Naboo[]

During the Invasion of Naboo, like all Theed citizenry, Veruna was interned at one of a number of Federation prison camps scattered around the city's perimeter, and remained there for the entire encounter. In the wake of the Federation's defeat, a small task force of Republic Judicial Forces accompanied the Chancellor to Naboo to aid in the demilitarization of Federation forces and assist in rebuilding of cities devastated by invasion forces.

Veruna volunteered to work in concert with the Judicials and her fellow Theed citizens to clear out and repair damaged sections of the city, and it was here that she met a 28-year-old Judicial lieutenant by the name of Maximian Tranner. Tranner and Veruna took to spending their evenings together, enjoying the cool of the Naboo summer nights, and before shipping off-world to Coruscant, Lieutenant Tranner asked Veruna for her hand in marriage. Wedded two years later, they remained faithful to each other for the rest of their lives.

Later life[]

Throughout her life, Veruna remained on Naboo, even while her husband grew in power and influence in the Republic and its successor, the Galactic Empire. Though outwardly pleased with his successful career for his sake, she cared little for such things, preferring instead to travel about Naboo and paint the landscapes and people of her planet. She remained based in Theed in her simple apartment, even after her husband's acquisition of a lavish Lake District estate.
