Lando Calrissian was a human male scoundrel, card player, galactic entrepreneur, and mining executive who became a leading member of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War, a veteran ally of the Resistance during the war against the First Order, and a Supreme Chancellor of the New Republic. During the Battle of Exegol and the final battle against Darth Sidious, Lando was responsible for organizing the fleet of civilians that became known as the Free Worlds Fleet, which eventually gave rise to the Free Worlds Alliance. Lando led the fleet in the battle, which saw the defeat of Darth Sidious and the fall of the First Order.
After the war, Lando became the first Supreme Chancellor of the restored New Republic. He was an ally of Rey Skywalker as she rebuilt the Jedi Order and helped ensure that Clone Wars-era anti-Jedi sentiments did not take hold in the Republic’s government. One of his successors in office was Rose Tico.
