Many know your name, but many do not know your destiny. I have waited for 300 years ... and here we are.
—Lord Scourge to Kenli-shun
Kenli-shun is a male Zabrak Jedi Master, trained as a Jedi Guardian. He was born around 3,663 BBY on the planet Alderaan. He became one of the Jedi Council after bringing down the Sith Emperor with his companions. He was personally responsible for taking down the Planet Prison superweapon on Coruscant. Also Kenli-shun managed to redeem a number of Sith Lords during his travels.
He became the target of a massive hunt of Imperial Intelligence and the Sith after Lord Scourge revealed a prophecy he saw hundreds of years ago, revealing him to be the one to take down the Emperor. Eventually Lord Scourge would join Kenli-shun in his travels and would assist him in infiltrating the Imperial world of Dromund Kaas. After the defeat of the Emperor, Kenli-shun and Lord Scourge were the first who acknowledged mutual respect between the two and would continue to travel together.
Kenli-shun, his companions and allies would play a major role in the wars against the Dread Masters.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Kenli-shun was recruited by Jedi Master Ata Rael on Alderaan after witnessing his skill in a friendly sparring tournament where he accidently released a Force Push to throw his opponent of the platform. Being tutored by Master Rael himself, he drew the attention of the Jedi Council on Tython and eventually send to Tython to become a student under an official Jedi Master.
The Invasion of Tython[]
Arrival at the Gnarls[]
Having taken a shuttle to Tython, Kenli-shun is welcomed by Derrin Weller, telling him it is a huge journey to begin Jedi training here on Tython, the planet where the Order resides since the beginning. Just when Kenli-shun is about to be introduced to his new quarters and take a shuttle to the Jedi Temple, to meet with the other masters, Weller is contacted by Unaw Aharo, a Bith apprentice telling him they need help in the Gnarls. The native Flesh Raiders are invading the territory and they need help in fending off the attacks. Weller apologizes to Kenli-shun and says normally he would go straight to the Temple, but he needs Kenli-shun in the Gnarls also to help out. Kenli-shun agrees and heads out for the speeder pad to go to the Gnarls.
Arriving in the Gnarls, he is contacted by Master Udonis informing him of a student that has been lost in the Gnarls itself. Kenli-shun promises to watch out for the student while he clears out the Gnarls along with the other Jedi. While clearing out the Flesh Raider numbers, Kenli-shun is contacted by Weller again, informing him they have found the cave where the Flesh Raiders enters the Gnarls from.Weller asks him to move there and seal the cave so that the invasion in the Gnarls stops. On his way to the cave, Kenli-shun both sets free some students and gets rid of some Flesh Raiders in the area.
Finding and entering the cave, Kenli-shun is ambushed by two Flesh Raider Bonemasters. Dispatching them after an intense fight, Kenli-shun continues through the cave, noting the various cleared former camps of the humans on the sides. Ending up on the higher ground of the cave, Kenli-shun finds Unaw Ohara, but he is being guarded by two Flesh Raiders and a human called Callef. Callef tells Kenli-shun to turn around and leave the cave and he will spare him. Kenli-shun tells Callef the only way he will leave is if he takes Unaw Ohara with him. Callef leaves Kenli-shun no choice when Callef attacks and Kenli-shun succesfully defends himself taking down the Flesh Raider bodyguards. Callef wielding a lightsaber, is strong but Kenli-shun manages to overpower him in the end, showing no mercy while killing him.
An elder Jedi approaches the two and he introduces himself as Jedi Master Orgus Din, a member of the Jedi Council. He reviews the fallen attacker and sees Callef is no Jedi. He was trained in the Jedi arts yes, but he was no Jedi. He sees the lightsaber Callef was wearing and wielding and believes there to be more behind this. Before leaving Kenli-shun behind, he tells Kenli-shun he will meet up with him at the Temple. He also seals the entrance to the Gnarls for preventing the Flesh Raiders from escaping or invading the Gnarls again. Before he leaves with Unaw, Orgus Din tells Kenli-shun it is not the Jedi way to kill an enemy, especially not when he is down. They will discus this further in the Temple.
The Temple's Approach[]
Making his way towards the Jedi Temple, he finds a set of students under attack by Flesh Raiders. One of the students is the student Master Udonis told off. Kenli-shun manages to drive away the attacking Flesh Raiders. One Flesh Raider named Truaguk remains due to injuries and the students encourage Kenli-shun to finish him off and head back to the Jedi Temple. Kenli-shun refuses to kill an unarmed person and allows Truaguk to escape and head back to his base. Kenli-shun informs the group of students there is an outpost nearby. They can head there, take a speeder to the Master's Retreat. The students agree and move, with the student from Master Udonis informing him he will tell of his act to Master Udonis.
Kenli-shun proceeds to head south from the Gnarls to the Jedi Temple, when he is attacked by a set of Flesh Raider Ambushers. Dispatching them with ease, he encounters a set of reprogrammed Mark 1 Training Droids. They prove to be quite a challenge, but in the end are no match for Kenli-shun either. Approaching the Temple he meets Jedi Master Udonis, who congratulates and thanks Kenli for freeing his apprentice Tali. Kenli tells him it was no trouble and Udonis informs him the Council will be waiting to hear more from him. Approaching the Temple, Kenli is met by another apprentice called Aven, who tells him he should meet with Master Muheeda who is a renowned advisor and teacher in the Jedi Temple. He can teach Kenli more advanced combat techniques. Kenli, interested, agrees to do so and goes on to the Temple's entrance.
First contacts with Kalikori Village[]
Entering the Jedi Temple, Kenli is contacted by Jedi Grand Master Satele Shan, who requests a personal meeting with him in her chambers. When he arrives there, Satele Shan congratulates him on the handling of Callef, but reminds him of the Jedi Code when it comes to guidance and the emotions that played a role. Kenli assures her he defended himself and no emotions played a role in the conflict with Callef. Satele Shan believes him and escorts him to the Jedi Council Chamber, where the other masters, including Orgus Din, are waiting. They question him on what happened in the Gnarls. They applaud his effort in taking down the invasion forces in the Gnarls, but are uncomfortable when they realize a normal man would get possession of a lightsaber and controlled it like a real Jedi. Orgus Din intervenes, declaring he will, with permission of the Council, take on Kenli as his own Padawan. Before they can elaborate on their initial surprise, Orgus Din tells Kenli to meet him in his private chambers.
Arriving in the private chambers, Orgus Din shares his annoyance with the Council's policy of talk and not a lot of action. He tells Kenli to grab a set of Padawan armor from his private inventory and meet with him in the other room to discus things. When Kenli is fully changed, they are interrupted by Padawan Kira Carsen, apprentice to Master Kiwiiks. She apologizes for coming in unannounced but Master Kiwiiks asked Kira to come and inform Orgus Din about the situation around the Ancient Shrine. Before going into detail, Kira leaves again and Orgus Din tells Kenli he doesn't have to know about the Ancient Shrine yet. They have more important matters to handle now. Kenli is asked by Din to go to Kalikori Village and meet with the matriarch of the Twi'lek settlers there.
Heading to Kalikori Village, Kenli runs into a group of Twi'lek hunters who are hunting wild animals. However their actions attract a number of Flesh Raiders nearby and they ask Kenli to cover their tracks while they escape. Having no choice but to comply, Kenli dispatches the Flesh Raiders with ease and moves to the village. There he meets with Matriarch Sumari and her daughter Ranna Tao'Ven. Ranna was part of the group he had just rescued, but Sumari is not really impressed, especially since the Jedi only send someone because of the recent attacks. She then informs Kenli she is willing to provide whatever information about the Flesh Raiders' movements that they can, but she needs Kenli to relieve the Flesh Raiders of their weapon caches. Kenli, remembering that Din told him they need Kalikori Village on their side, agrees to do so and heads out south of the village.
Kenli fights his way through numerous Flesh Raider forces to the weapons cache high in the Upper Hollows and on his way finds several holo recordings of Jedi Masters summerizing their experiences with the Dark Side and how they ultimately avoided falling to it. Leaving those behind, Kenli finally encounters a set of ambushers around the weapons cache and manages to defeat them. He finds the weapons cache and removes it, but also encounters a Republic reconnaisance droid named T7-O1. T7 asks him to remove the restraining bolt and Kenli does so, for which the droid is very happy. T7 and Kenli bond a bit, with T7 revealing he was there when Coruscant fall to the Empire and T7 accompanies Kenli back to the village.
Back in Kalikori Village, Kenli and T7 meet with Din and the Matriarch. A villager named Saylew argues with them about his dead wife, saying she was killed because of the Flesh Raiders and Kenli apologizes on behalf of the Jedi Order. He then hands the weapons to the villagers and Kenli allows T7 to show Orgus Din the holomessage he had stored away. Its a meeting between Callef and a cloaked figure. Orgus Din recognizes the voice, but does not elaborate on it. Master Din asks Kenli to investigate sightings of Flesh Raiders in a remote area in Upper Kaleth. In the mean time he will attempt to find more information about the mysterious person and Callef with help from T7.
The Meditation Shrine[]
Je'daii ... Je'daii ... kill Je'daii ... use great power
—Flesh Raider leader against Kenli-shun
Fighting his way to Upper Kaleth, the Flesh Raiders having moved across the mountains around the Jedi Temple, Kenli-shun arrives at a Jedi outpost, where he once more meets with Master Udonis. Master Udonis tells Kenli of a cave near the Meditation Shrine, that holds a holocron. He asks Kenli to retrieve the holocron. Kenli asks what kind of holocron it is and Master Udonis tells him the holocron is thousands of years old. It is of vital importance that Kenli retrieves the holocron before the Flesh Raiders get their hands on it, or the mysterious force driving them. Kenli agrees to retrieved the holocron and travels to Upper Kaleth, facing hords of Ancient Droid Defenders on his way to his goal. Deeming the Meditation Shrine is near by, Kenli goes there first.
Fighting his way through Flesh Raiders around the Meditation Shrine, Kenli finds a single Flesh Raider in front of the shrine. He calls him "Je'daii" and attacks Kenli. Barely able to survive the attack, Kenli manages to defeat the bodyguards of the Flesh Raider leader and then becomes aware that the remaining Flesh Raider can use the Force. After defeating the Flesh Raider leader, Master Kiwiiks and Kira arrive, saying Orgus Din asked them to assist Kenli-shun and Kira remarks it seems he needs no help. Master Kiwiiks tells Kenli she will return to the Jedi Temple, but asks Kenli to place a set of sensors around Upper Kaleth to give them an early warning for new attacks. Kenli agrees to do so and moves, realizing the holocron he was supposed to retrieve is on his way.
Setting up the first two sensors, Kenli goes into the cave Master Udonis told him to and there encounters Udonis' Padawan Tali again. Tali had found the holocron despite her master's wishes. However the holocron's guardian presence, an old Jedi Master called Thra'Val, influences her mind and thoughts, clouding her judgment and making her attack Kenli. Forced to defend himself against Tali, Kenli disarms her and manages to smash the holocron out of her hands. Not as easily influenced by the holocron as Tali, Kenli helps her up and tells her there is nothing she could have done on her own. It was not her fault. Tali asks Kenli to take the holocron and bring it to Master Udonis.
Setting up the final sensor just outside Upper Kaleth, Kenli returns to the Jedi outpost and hands Master Udonis the holocron, telling him of what happened. Like Kenli-shun, Master Udonis does not blame Tali for what happened, but warns her to be more carefull. Master Udonis relays the message of Orgus Din to Kenli, that he must meet with him in Kalikori Village. Kenli asks if Master Udonis will be alright and Master Udonis tells him to go.
The second Flesh Raider strike[]
You should not have come here, Padawan. The Dark Side is strong here. You will fall ... you will fall and Tython will belong to us again. You will fall ... just like my old master
—Bengel Morr to Kenli-shun
Returning to the village, Kenli meets with Orgus Din, the matriarch and T7. Kenli learns from Din that the Jedi Council is preparing to begin a second wave of attacks against the Flesh Raiders. On the Tythos Ridge there is a command base, but it is protected by force fields. Din decides to send Kenli-shun to destroy the generator powering the force field. Kenli-shun agrees and then directly asks Orgus Din what he knows about the cloaked mysterious man. Din tells him the cloaked man is Bengel Morr, his former Padawan. Bengel Morr once was a promising student in the Jedi Order. However his studies dragged him to situations that he studied holocrons of all sorts. Having encountered one before with Tali, Kenli-shun deduces he might have fallen to the Dark Side. Din confirms Bengel Morr disappeared during the Sacking of Coruscant.
Being warned not to engage Morr if Kenli encounters him, Kenli moves to Tythos Ridge. Moving up the mountains, he comes past a holo message telling him of Manka Teeth that can help a man's daughter. Kenli decides to seek for those while moving to the command base. Assembling a set of Manka Teeth, Kenli arrives at the cave leading to the command base. Taking down a group of Gundark guarding the entrance, Kenli made his way inside, taking out the shield generator, securing entrance to the command base in Kaleth. However at that moment the cloaked person from the holoviewer, Bengel Morr contacts him, telling him of his goal; the destruction of the Jedi Order and Tython under control of the Flesh Raider forces serving under him. Kenli-shun asks him how he fell that far from the Jedi Order, but Bengel Morr disconnects.
Returning to the village, Kenli-shun discovers that Ranna has been appointed matriarch after her mother had died. Ranna is more appreciative of the Jedi's work as her mother and most of the villagers. Kenli-shun brings her up to speed on what had happened and Ranna is as bothered by this as the Jedi Order is. When they attempt to find more facts about the force driving the Flesh Raiders, they are interrupted by a villager named Eseni, who informs Ranna about the village's outskirts being under attack by the Flesh Raiders, having set up gass dispensers and released bugs to destroy the cropfields. Kenli offers to take care of them and Ranna thanks him. Quickly disabling the dispensers and the guarding Flesh Raiders, Kenli arrives in time to resolve a hostage situation before it gets out of hand between the villagers and the Flesh Raiders.
Returning to the matriarch, Kenli-shun meets Orgus Din there. Orgus Din informs him of the discovery of many more Flesh Raider camps across Tython and the Jedi Council has assigned every able Jedi, Master, Knight or Padawan alike, to the field to take down the Flesh Raider camps. Orgus Din tells Kenli to venture over Kaleth and seek out and destroy a Flesh Raider camp. When Kenli asks for more information about Bengel Morr, Din refuses to go into it much further and before Kenli can confront him on it, Orgus Din leaves the village. Ranna Tao'Ven says she has heard of Bengel Morr. Bengel Morr was a Jedi Padawan that traveled much to their village before the Sacking of Coruscant. Kenli wonders what more Ranna might know about Morr, but like Orgus Din she refuses to go in it much further.
The Forsaken Den[]
On his way to Kaleth, he passes by the Jedi outpost again and Tali meets with him, presenting to him a gift from Master Udonis, a set of bracers for extra protection around his arms. Tali also delivers the message that Master Udonis would like to meet with Kenli-shun the next time he returns to the Jedi Temple. While moving to the coordinates of the Flesh Raider camp, Kenli-shun passes by a group of wounded Twi'lek settlers. Knowing of an outpost nearby, Kenli-shun escorts them there and at the same time protects them from lurking Flesh Raiders. Being held back by the settlers, Kenli now continues on and finds the Flesh Raider camp inside a cave system also known as the Forsaken Den. Here he meets with a Jedi Master named Laotah. Laotah tells him that the Flesh Raiders have taken his lightsaber. He also encourages Kenli to move, he'll be fine, but Kenli warns him if he is left alone he might die. Laotah tells him the camp is more important now. Despite knowing time is of the essence now, Kenli-shun manages to bring Laotah to a safe place nearby and promises he will return for him.
Venturing through the Forsaken Den, Kenli-shun easily defeats several Flesh Raider warriors, after which he finds himself face to face with the chieftain of the camp, who is not only accompanied by a shaman but also wields the lightsaber of Master Laotah. Forced to fight both, Kenli first kills the shaman and then slays the chieftain, regaining the control over the lightsaber. Kenli-shun contacts Orgus Din, and Orgus Din complies in sending a Jedi escort to the location of Master Laotah. He also informs Kenli of a distress call coming from Kalikori Village and Kenli agrees to go there as soon as possible. Before he leaves Kaleth behind however he is met by another Padawan, named Nende who asks his help in finding the lost recordings in the socalled Chamber of Speech. Agreeing to come, they travel together to the upper part of Kaleth.
There they are engaged by ancient droids designed to protect the ancient machine holding the recordings of the old Jedi Masters. Assembling a full set of four functioning power cells, Kenli-shun and Nende approach the machine, but it is guarded by a Ancient Protector Droid. Seeing no way to get around it, Kenli-shun engages it with his martial skills while Nende provides back-up with Force imbued attacks. They manage to destroy the droid and retrieve the recordings, returning to the Jedi Outpost where Kenli-shun says goodbye to Nende, who mentions they will see each other again soon.
Betrayed[]
Kenli-shun returns to Kalikori Village where he meets up with Ranna. However Ranna tells Kenli-shun she has never send a distress signal to the Jedi Temple or Orgus Din. At that moment Kenli-shun is attacked by a group of villagers knocking him out cold. Kenli awakes quickly however and finds Ranna defending him from the villagers including Eseni, Saylew and Moorint. Kenli learns that Bengel Morr had promised not to attack the village anymore if the villagers would hand over either Orgus Din or Din's apprentice, Kenli. Ranna disagrees with this and Kenli-shun, wasting no time, tells her to step aside and let him handle this. Quickly disarming Eseni and Moorint, he influences them to leave however Saylew stays behind. He once more engages Kenli-shun, but he is ready for him, disarming him and dealing the final and killing blow. Ranna apologizes, but Kenli-shun tells her it is not her fault and the best thing she can do is return and lead her people.
The Forge[]
After reassuring Ranna everything was alright, Kenli-shun returned to activate T7 again, who was knocked out by the villagers simultanously to him. Kenli-shun asks T7 to scan the place for Master Din, but scans come back negative and Ranna informs Kenli about Bengel Morr taking Orgus Din to some place called the Forge. Not sure what that means, Kenli uses T7 to contact A-4PO, the head Protocol Droid in the Jedi Archives asking him any information about the Forge. A-4PO informs him that the Forge is the place where Padawans go after their masters deem them worthy of forging their own lightsaber. Kenli figures that is the reason why Bengel Morr went there, to prevent the creation of any future lightsabers. T7 proposes Kenli should go to the Forge immediately and volunteers to accompany Kenli-shun to the Forge. Kenli-shun is happy to have T7 along for the ride and they take a speeder to the Jedi Outpost.
Moving south, through a hidden cavern under a waterfall, Kenli discovers that in order to reach the Forge, they must disable three sensor arays. He allows T7 to plug in and find out that there are three different sensor arrays placed around the cavern and the valley beyond. The nearest one is inside the cavern and T7 and Kenli-shun move to that array. T7 plugs in and Kenli-shun defends the droid from the incoming attacks of the ancient droids and roaming Flesh Raiders. They exit the cavern and thanks to the schematics T7 obtained through the first array, they discover a second array nearby the old ruins of an old temple. T7 plugs in there too and disables the array while more combat droids arrive to take the couple out. The third array is near the cave that leads directly to the Forge and it is guarded by a Flesh Raider Warleader. Taking it out the way is clear for Kenli-shun and T7 to enter the cave to the Forge.
Fighting their way through another horde of Flesh Raiders, Kenli and T7 finally arrive at the Forge, where Din is at the mercy of Bengel Morr. Bengel Morr is content that Kenli-shun, his former master's new apprentice, has made it here and he will proof once and for all that he is superior. He commands his bodyguards, two Force adept Flesh Raiders to attack Kenli. Kenli-shun engages both Flesh Raiders in a vicious fight while T7 distracts Bengel Morr. Killing both Flesh Raiders, Kenli-shun joins the fight against Morr and is finally superior to Bengel Morr, because Bengel Morr had greatly underestimated Kenli-shun's abilities. Bengel Morr, disarmed, now sees that Kenli has a big destiny ahead of himself and more importantly found himself able to face the Jedi Order and their teachings again. He also claims he will be the Padawan's herald and would spread the word of his actions to others. Finally he asked Kenli to allow him to leave Tython.
Kenli-shun however had other thoughts and knocked him out cold, before waking Orgus Din. Orgus Din congratulates on his battle with Bengel Morr and the decision to spare Morr's life. Orgus Din however is more concerned in what drove Bengel Morr to choose the dark path he took. Maybe after his healing in the Temple, Bengel Morr might be more clear on that matter. He then hands Kenli-shun various components for the lightsaber and tells him to built one and meet him back in the Jedi Temple. Kenli-shun and T7 enter the Forge and Kenli-shun builts his first lightsaber, along with a green crystal. However during his meditation in crafting the lightsaber a Jorguran enters the Forge's area and blocks the way back to the Temple. Engaging the beast together with T7, Kenli-shun brings the Jorguran down to its knees and leaves the area.
No longer an apprentice[]
Returning to the Jedi Temple without much trouble, Kenli-shun enters the Jedi Council Chamber along with T7 where the entire Council is seated. Grand Master Satele Shan praises Kenli-shun's efforts in defeating Bengel Morr and bringing down the invasion of the Flesh Raiders on Tython. Satele Shan then asks Kenli's advice on how to handle Ranna Tao'Ven, who turned herself over to the Order for judgment and Kenli-shun advices her to allow Ranna to return to her village and suggested that she would become the bridge for the Jedi Council to Kalikori Village. Satele Shan agrees and appoints Ranna to be both the representative of Kalikori Village towards the Jedi Council and the other way around. Satele Shan also confers, thanks to his work here on Tython, the rank of Jedi Knight to Kenli-shun. Kenli-shun on his turn requests that T7 can permanently travel with him, as they make a great team. The Jedi Council assigns T7-O1 to Kenli-shun, and T7 is happy to join Kenli in his travels.
At that moment a holo call comes in from Master Kiwiiks. She alerts the Jedi Council on a possible threat on Coruscant, threatening the stability of the planet and the senate. When asked about the nature of the threat, Master Kiwiiks tells that she fears a dark force may be behind the threat. Fearing the Sith Empire has found a way into Coruscant, Satele Shan assigns Orgus Din and Kenli-shun to travel to Coruscant, meet up with Master Kiwiiks and decide what this threat actually is. Orgus Din tells Kenli-shun to travel to the Republic Fleet, take a shuttle there. He will meet Kenli-shun on Coruscant. Kenli agrees and leaves the Council Chamber along with T7.
Not forgetting the message he got from Tali, Kenli passes by Master Udonis' chamber. Master Udonis congratulates on his efforts in beating Bengel Morr and his rise to the rank of a Jedi Knight. He however questions the choice Kenli made of sparing Bengel Morr's life and Kenli-shun argues this was a choice any Jedi would make. Master Udonis does not disagree, but informs him the holocron Kenli-shun managed to free Tali from, the holocron whose guardian entity called Thra'Val, has disappeared after the invasion of the Flesh Raiders had ended. Kenli-shun wonders if someone might have infiltrated the Temple to pick it, but Master Udonis doubts that. He does suspect there might be a Padawan around the Jedi Order that might know more, a Padawan whose blood ties relate to the old Sith species, Guan-ryar. Kenli-shun admits in never having met this Guan-ryar, but Master Udonis shows him a holo recording of a Sith Pureblood using force powers within the Temple, training for further Jedi training. Master Udonis tells him, Guan-ryar is at Coruscant at the moment, maybe he is the threat Master Kiwiiks spoke off. Kenli-shun tells him he will keep his eyes open.
The Planet Prison-crisis[]
Crisis aboard the Esseles[]
Arriving aboard Carrick Station, the main Republic Fleet space station, he is greeted by Master Nimi, who tells him he can take advanced training before heading to Coruscant. Feeling like he should study more, Master Nimi instructs him on going to Master Hun to learn more about two paths he can choose as a new Jedi Knight. Master Hun explains to him he knows of Kenli's actions and sees the ideal Knight to join the ranks of the Jedi Guardians. Kenli agrees to do so and after joining more advanced Jedi Guardians in training, he gets a set of heavier armor from Master Hun, telling him he will watch his progress with great interest.
Traveling to the hangar where the shuttle to Coruscant is, he encounters a Republic SIS agent named Harun, who informs him there is a special ship waiting for him to bring him to Coruscant on behest of Master Orgus Din, The Esseles. Kenli-shun chooses for the fastest way to Coruscant and boards the ship where he meets the newly appointed commander of Havoc Squad, Lieutenant Vyzen and Captain Rayalas, a smuggler in Republic employ. They too are traveling to Coruscant by the Esseles. Arriving in the luxurious lounge, Kenli-shun meets Nende again who also has been send by the Jedi Council to Coruscant. He shares the tale of what happened to his master with Kenli-shun and the other two. Vyzen and Rayalas at their turn speak about what brings them to Coruscant.
Meeting with a passenger named Vyn Asara, the quartet find the Esseles under attack by Imperial forces. Vyn Asara asks the quartet to check out the deck to see where they can help and the quartet agree to do so. Kenli-shun takes the lead in the assault in liberating a set of Republic troopers from Imperial Strike Droids, with Vyzen and Rayalas providing covered back up and healing probes. They reach the bridge where they volunteer their services to the captain of the Esseles. Captain Tyrus is in bad condition and First Officer Haken asks the quartet to assist Commander Narlock in fighting back the Imperial attackers. At that moment the Esseles is contacted by the nearby Imperial warship and Admiral Kilran speaks to the four. Kenli-shun tells him they will prevent the Empire from taking over their ship and Kilran laughs saying his forces are already inside the Esseles. Kenli-shun orders the communications to be shut down. First Officer Haken recomments the four to join Commander Narlock and fight against the Imperial forces.
Hurrying down the decks, Kenli-shun and the three others arrive at the airlock, where Commander Narlock implores them to help defend the engine deck from the attackers. Agreeing to, the quartet enters battle with the incoming forces lead by an Imperial Lieutenant. Vyzen and Kenli-shun take out the Lieutenant, Nende and Rayalas take down the Imperial Troopers. Having driven back the attackers, Vyn Asara is revealed to be an ambassador heading for Coruscant. Vyn Asara informs them they have to bring back the engines online and Kenli-shun volunteers to go and check the engine chambers. Arriving there Kenli-shun, Nende and Vyzen decide to spare the workers and each take down one Control Panel guarded by Imperial forces while Captain Rayalas stays with Vyn Asara. Having disabled those panels, Vyn Asara implores the quartet to free the bridge, after getting a report that Mandalorian commander Ironfist has taken it over. Fighting their way through Imperial and Mandalorian forces they arrive at the bridge where they defeat Ironfist after a short fight.
Learning that the Esseles is trapped in a tractor beam, Kenli-shun volunteers to go to the Imperial warship and take out the tractor beam there. Vyzen and Nende agree to join him, while Captain Rayalas does not feel like doing so. Kenli-shun tells him to stick around the Esseles then and protect the ambassador from any other threats. This Rayalas likes and the remaining three move to the hangar bay and take the shuttle stationed there to the Imperial warship. They are approached by First Officer Haken who asks them to try and strike a deal with Kilran, the Ambassador for safe leave. Kenli-shun refuses this and they take the shuttle. Arriving at the warship, the three fight their way through many of the Imperial forces when they approach the main generator room. They take out two seperate panels guarded by a squad of droids and then engage the ISS-7 Guardian Droid. Ultimately taking control of the situation and destroying the droid, they disable the tractor beam and move out for the shuttle. The hangar bay with the shuttle however is locked down and surprisingly Kenli-shun notices Ambassador Asara and Captain Rayalas there. Rayalas explains they were send here because apparantly Kilran wants to negotiate. Realizing this is a trap, Kenli's suspicions are confirmed when the Sith Acolyte Vokk enters. All four of them engage Vokk, killing him in the end and Rayalas thinks they may have been betrayed.
Returning to the Esseles, Kenli-shun confronts Haken, who tells he knows nothing of betrayal. Rayalas however tells Kenli-shun he was the one who told Asara and Rayalas to go to the warship. Unknown what to do now, Kenli-shun orders for the Esseles to steer clear from the warship and engage hyperspeed. Doing so, they speak about what to do with Haken. Rayalas believes he should be executed on spot, but Nende and Kenli-shun think otherwise. Vyzen wants him to stand trial. In the end Haken is killed when Ambassador Asara takes one of Rayalas' blasters and kill Haken. Informing them Haken died of Imperial fire, she returns to the bridge, orders to go to Coruscant. When questioned by Nende and Kenli-shun, she says he was a danger for all of them. While agreeing on that part, Kenli-shun disagrees on the way it was handled.
Arrival on Coruscant[]
Arriving on Coruscant, Kenli-shun was joined by T7 again, who had worked on keeping the power systems online during the crisis aboard the Esseles. Saying goodbye to both Rayalas and Vyzen, who went their own ways, Nende and Kenli-shun shortly discussed the situation on Tython and the missing of several holocrons, presumably by the Padawan Guan-ryar. Kenli-shun tells he will stay in touch with Nende about this topic, and Nende agrees to share the investigation. Nende hurries to the Senate Tower, telling Kenli-shun he has to meet with his master. Kenli-shun checks in with T7 at the arrivals terminal, where T7 tells Kenli about the sacking of Coruscant and how he was present there. T7 seemed impressed by how much Coruscant had changed since then and also tells Kenli about his former master, Van Zellow who rescued him from Rodian slavers. T7 ends with being happy and telling Kenli he thinks himself and Kenli make a great team, to which Kenli responds positively.
Files on the Market[]
Arriving in the Senate Tower, Kenli-shun and T7 meet Orgus Din, Master Kiwiiks and Kira Carsen in one of the conference rooms. There he also meets Generals Var Suthra and Elin Garza. General Var Suthra introduces Elin Garza as the head of the Special Forces Operations Division. He asked her to be here due to possible involvement of former Havoc Squad members in the dark threat noticed by Master Kiwiiks. General Garza informs with Kenli-shun how much Commander Vyzen has told about the Havoc Squad incident and Kenli-shun tells her that he knows nothing about it. Garza explains that it basically comes down to the fact that the former Havoc Squad members defected to the Empire with a lot of data and a very powerfull bomb. Orgus Din intervenes asking whether they can come to busines.
Orgus Din introduces Doctor Eli Tarnis to Kenli-shun, who is known for his invention of the Planet Prison, a weapon that will ionize any planet's atmosphere trapping everything and everyone on a planet, disabling any ship to get in or out. He believes it to be the most humane weapon the Republic has. Master Kiwiiks informs Orgus Din and Kenli-shun that the design files of the Planet Prison weapon have been stolen. While Tarnis is less concerned, Kiwiiks wants those files to be in the safe hands of the Jedi Order. General Garza tells Var Suthra she will inform Havoc Squad's commander of the operation and leaves. Orgus Din and Master Kiwiiks tell Kenli-shun to assist the SIS Agents heading the hunt for the files. Kiwiiks and Din leave for the Chancellor's cruiser and Kiwiiks orders Kira Carsen to assist Kenli-shun and the agent on site, Agent Galen in obtaining the files.
Kenli-shun and T7 set out to the Old Galactic Market, where they meet up with Agent Galen in a SIS Safehouse. Agent Galen fills them in on the situation, telling Kenli that they have succesfully identified one of the scientists as Doctor Vistis Garn, who also works for the Migrant Merchants' Guild. Agent Galen tells Kenli-shun to extract Vistis Garn if possible, escort him back to this safehouse and recover the files. Fighting their way through the Guild's territory, Kenli-shun and T7 recovered munitions, rockets and other goods from the Guild and cornered Garn in an abandoned part of the warehouse. Here he was already being visited by another Padawan, Guan-ryar. Kenli-shun and T7 order Guan-ryar to stand down, but Guan-ryar informs he had been send here with a mission by the Republic SIS himself. Kenli-shun at first does not believe him but when Vistis Garn activates hidden autoturrets, Guan-ryar manages to shield himself, T7 and Kenli-shun from the blasts. Together taking out the autoturrets and disarmed Garn, Kenli-shun and Guan-ryar must decide what to do with the defecting doctor.
Deciding to escort him back to the SIS Safehouse, Kenli confronts Guan-ryar directly on why he was here, but Guan-ryar refuses to tell him. He assures Kenli-shun he had nothing to do with the theft of the holocrons on Tython. Master Satele Shan had ordered him to be attached to SFOD. Kenli-shun does not know what to believe but lets Guan-ryar leave. Returning to the SIS Safehouse, Agent Galen takes Doctor Garn into custody. At that moment a holomessage from Kira Carsen comes in, telling Kenli-shun and Agent Galen to return to the Senate Tower at once. Before leaving, Doctor Garn tells Kenli-shun he had already send a copy of the files to his superiors in the Black Sun Syndicate.
Doctor Tarnis Hostage[]
Returning to the Senate Tower, Kira Carsen revealed Doctor Tarnis had been kidnapped right under their noses, while Kenli was recovering the files. General Var Suthra tells Kira Carsen to take a security team and head over to the spaceport where most likely Doctor Tarnis was being held. He also advised Kenli-shun to head over there and intercept Tarnis and his kidnappers. Agent Galen and he will work on the files. Arriving in the docking bay, Kenli-shun found Kira and her security team locked in a stalemate with Guild forces. Kira and Kenli-shun hatched a plan, in which Kenli-shun would fight a way through the Guild forces and confront the kidnappers and she would follow cloaked with a borrowed shield generator to provide back-up. Agreeing to the plan, Kenli and T7 fight a way through the Guild forces and confront the kidnappers. They are to late however as Doctor Tarnis had already been moved and that this was merely a ruse. After some interrogation Kenli-shun learned that Doctor Tarnis was moved to the Black Sun Territory.
The Revelation of the Traitor[]
Back in the Senate Tower, Kenli-shun meets up with Orgus Din and Master Kiwiiks. Returning from their conference with the Supreme Chancellor. Learning that the encrypted files do not only contain information about the Planet Prison, but about all the recently designed Super Weapon programm's created by the Republic. Orgus Din fears the worst and Var Suthra demands that the Jedi Order will assign every available Jedi Knight or Master to this case. Orgus Din and Master Kiwiiks inform him that they are dealing with more then just this, the disappearance of the Masters and the sudden sickness of one of the Council Members. Plus not only the recently developed and designed superweapons are in danger, but also older ones. Ones that are not officially placed within the military archives. Kenli-shun realizes that the stolen holocrons may have something to do with this and Master Kiwiiks confirms this, saying the stolen holocrons each have a part of the map that will lead to the locations of the Ancient Superweapons. The holocron that Kenli-shun recovered on Tython, the Holocron of Thra'Val, houses a special kyber crystal that will unlock the locations. Orgus Din and Master Kiwiiks propose to each take down and secure one of the weapons facilities that built the superweapons designs, while Kenli-shun will travel into the Black Sun Territory and take the third down.
Before leaving General Var Suthra tells Kenli-shun he has made arrangements with General Garza that Lieutenant Vyzen and Aric Jorgan will meet with them there. Havoc Squad will assist them on the raid on the final weapons facility. Kenli-shun having good relations with the new Havoc Squad commander is content that they will have back up. Also Var Suthra tells them that they will need to meet Sergeant Nidaljo, leader of the CSF's Special Tactical Unit. Taking a taxi to the Black Sun Territory, they discover Lieutenant Vyzen and Aric Jorgan situated in front of an abandoned research facility. Asking what is happening, Vyzen explains to Kenli-shun that the Coruscant Security Force has requested help from Special Forces Operations Division to take out a nearby medical facility, providing medical aid and surgery to rebels and terrorists. Kenli-shun and Vyzen fight their way through Black Sun Gang Leaders and gunners and obtain a Facility Pass. They enter the facility, take out the guarding droids and download the medical records, returning to the nearby CSF Outpost handing over the records to the lead agent there.
Kenli-shun and Vyzen fight their way through numerous Black Sun forces and manage to reach the hideout of the CSF, which they find overwhelmed by Black Sun forces. Taking them out all, they manage to meet up with Sergeant Nidaljo. Despite their success of securing a perimeter, they suffered heavily. Nidaljo gave up hope, but Vyzen and Kenli-shun were able to inspire them. Nidaljo manages to override the security locks on the weapons facility and Vyzen tells Kenli to move, he and Aric Jorgan will stick here to keep an eye on the CSF holdout. Kenli-shun and T7 mount a full assault on the front entrance and take down most of the defenses, but discover the leader Salarr talking to Tarnis over hologram. Finding out that Doctor Tarnis is none other but a Sith Lord and staged his kidnapping, Kenli-shun asks him why. Tarnis says he never intended the Republic to use it against the Empire. Coruscant was doomed. Before disconnecting Tarnis orders Salarr to attack and kill Kenli-shun and T7. Managing to easily overpower Salarr, Kenli-shun and T7 find out that the prototype here was a fake. Tarnis had moved the real Planet Prison
Vyzen, Aric Jorgan and the CSF forces enter too and Kenli-shun informs them of Tarnis' betrayal. Kenli-shun calls Kira over to the holocom and Kira tells that she, Var Suthra and Orgus Din had witnessed the call and they all know Tarnis is the traitor. Orgus Din tells Kenli-shun to return to the Senate Tower and thanks Vyzen for his assistance on the subject.
Tracking Tarnis[]
Returning to the Senate Tower, Kira Carsen reveals she has tracked down Tarnis to a military vault in the Justicar Sector. Orgus Din explains that the Justicars are a group of vigilantes that rule there. General Var Suthra informs Kenli-shun has two more objectives while there. He needs to disable the landing beacons in the Justicar Sector, there are four and need to retrieve prisoner data while there. Kenli-shun agrees. Due to her skills, Kira volunteers to accompany Kenli-shun to the Justicar sector. There they find out through a forward SIS outpost, they need to slice three security terminals to enter the detention facility. This is where Kira comes in. They find the first security terminal and while Kira slices the first terminal, Kenli-shun is forced to defend them against incoming Justicar forces. Clearing the area, they find the second terminal near the landing beacons. Slicing that as well, Kenli-shun proceeds to disable the three landing beacons. Having knocked those down he is contacted by General Var Suthra to relocate to the upper level in a safe distance from the bombing run. Making it in time the bombing run done by starfighters of the Coruscant Defense Force, Kenli-shun uncovers the third and final terminal which Kira slices relatively easy and undiscovered by enemies.
General Var Suthra and Agent Galen contact the duo and inform that they are sending the location of the detention facility to Kenli-shun. Finding the facility, they break in and discover the facility to be abandoned except for one surviving SIS Agent called Jonkan. Jonkan informs them that Tarnis had killed all of the scientists but left him alive just to inform Kenli-shun of what happened. Tarnis had tricked the scientists there, by telling them the Jedi Council was going to shut down the project and ordered the prototype to be stolen. Kenli-shun hands him a medpac, but they are interrupted by an Imperial Officer arriving with an attack squad. Forcing to defend themselves, Kenli-shun and Kira are unable to prevent the Imperial attack squad from killing Jonkan. After killing the Imperials, Kira logs on to the network and traces the location of Tarnis to the old Jedi Temple ruins. They will have to venture through the ruins to reach that.
Showdown with Tarnis[]
Kenli-shun and Kira arrive at the Works through an elevator and are forced to fight their way through rogue Droid forces and Imperials having been stationed there for years. It is there that Kenli-shun and Kira meet Lani, a Republic Trooper in the works, on her way to a mission for SFOD, disabling the steam outlets. She informs him of a distress call coming from deeper in the Works. She was heading there after her mission here in the Works. Kenli-shun stresses he needs to go to the Temple, but he will keep an eye out. Moving towards the end of the Works, Kenli-shun find the taxi pad to the Jedi Temple overrun by Imperial forces. Taking them down pretty easily, Kenli-shun meets with an injured Lieutenant called Wellex, who informs him of the distress signal coming from here. He tells the distress signal was activated by Republic forces guarding a machine with schematics to hyperlanes. It might mean the place is overrun by Imperials. He needs someone to check it out. Kenli-shun tells him of his own personal mission but promises to look into it when he is done.
Kenli-shun and Kira make their way to the Jedi Temple, but encounter heavy resistance from the Imperial Commando's and Troopers stationed there. Coming past Vyzen and Nende, they clean up the Jedi Temple together, before splitting up again. Kenli-shun and Kira wipe out the Imperial forces protecting the chamber where Tarnis' signal comes from and walk in on Doctor Tarnis, or Lord Tarnis as he is spoken to by the people in the holograms. He is congratulated upon by the four people, all four Sith Lords of which one calls him "son", Darth Angral. Tarnis explains how he is capable of firing the Planet Prison at the Coruscant atmosphere. Darth Angral orders his son to take care of Kenli-shun and Kira first and Lord Sadic, one of the other apprentices of Angral chides on the loose ends Tarnis holds. Kenli-shun gives Tarnis the chance to surrender and redeem himself, but Tarnis attacks him with rage. The skills of Kenli-shun surpass him and Kenli-shun and Kira manage to beat him. Giving him one more chance to redeem himself, Tarnis pushes him away with a powerful Force Push. Kenli-shun however is saved by Kira who knocks him over. Tarnis gets up, but Kenli-shun leaps to him, killing him.
Turning to the holograms, Darth Angral swears vengeance on Kenli-shun and tells him he will hunt him down and kill him personally. Darth Angral interupts his three apprentices who tell Kenli-shun that the Empire controls the rest of the superweapons projects. Darth Angral delivers a warning to Kenli-shun telling he is back and the terror he will deliver will be bigger and more horrible then during the Sacking of Coruscant. Having heard enough, Kenli-shun terminates the connection. Destroying the Planet Prison superweapon prototype, Kenli-shun and Kira proceed to head out of the Jedi Temple, but not before he meets with Lani-ryar and Captain Rayalas again. Lani-ryar asks him to join them in retrieving the astrogation charts. Kira tells Kenli-shun to go ahead, she will go to the Jedi Temple. Kenli-shun, Lani and Rayalas enter the chambers and kill off the Imperial guards and captains protecting the astrogation charts and the machine. Lani, Kenli-shun and Rayalas engage the Sith Lord protecting the extraction party and kill him.
Lani and Rayalas bring the astrogation charts back to the Senate Tower, while Kenli-shun meets up with Kira, Agent Galen and General Var Suthra. They return to conference room and meet with them and Grand Master Satele Shan, who inform them that Tarnis has send all the captured plans to Darth Angral. Also he has declared war on the Jedi Order. While the Empire claims no responsibility of Angral's actions, Satele Shan fears the hand of the Dark Council in this. Satele Shan fears the superweapons projects will be in danger due to the disappearance of Orgus Din, Master Kiwiiks and two other masters have disappeared. General Var Suthra asks Kenli-shun to go to Ord Mantell and intercept an Imperial Intelligence Operative called Nova 7, who got a transmission from Darth Angral. In addition to that, General Var Suthra gives him a Defender-class light corvette. Due to the abscence of Master Kiwiiks and the team work between the two, Kenli-shun is assigned Kira Carsen as his first Padawan.
The Desolator-crisis[]
Taking down the Nova Base[]
Arriving at Ord Mantell, Kenli-shun is instructed by General Var Suthra to meet with a Republic SIS Agent called Ottau. Kira stays behind to guard the ship, while T7 and Kenli-shun are given the coordinates to the secret listening post Nova Base, where the operative is. Getting to the surface, Kenli-shun and T7 meet with Ottau, who tells him all reconnaisance droids have been destroyed by either the Imperial forces or Resistance troops. Getting access codes to the base, Kenli-shun and T7 venture to the remote base, while fighting through Imperial and Resistance forces. Taking down the Imperial forces guarding the place, Kenli-shun and T7 engage the final living Imperial operative, but he is not Nova 7. Taking out the operative, T7 downloads the schematics, but these are copies of the originals. Also T7 found plans for something called the "Desolator". While finishing downloading, another transmission is brought in by an Imperial Operative. This one is Nova 7. Nova 7 congratulates him on finding the schematics, but he will not make it out alive. Nova 7 informs him that the base has been rigged with explosives. Kenli-shun orders T7 to send the schematics to the ship. Nova 7 disconnects before Kenli-shun crushes the communicator.
Barely making it out alive, he is contacted by General Var Suthra. He must set free a Padawan from a nearby Resistance camp. Agreeing to do so, Kenli-shun and T7 attempt to contact Kira, but are unable to. To far away to go to the Talex, his ship, they decide to go to the camp first. Here they fight through the Resistance forces and find the Padawan, Jaesa Willsaam. They escort her back to the spaceport. Here they contact General Var Suthra, who tells Kenli-shun to escort her to Taris. Kenli-shun, Jaesa and T7 go back to the orbital station, where they encounter a Sith Apprentice called Ferav and his Imperial Trooper escort. They have captured Kira Carsen, who told them Kenli-shun was on Corellia instead of here. Ferav confirms that Darth Angral was here himself to interrogate Kira and she managed to convince him, but left Ferav and his men here to wait for Kenli-shun eventually. Kenli-shun and T7 engage the Imperials and the Sith Inquisitor, while Jaesa is to weak to fight. Kenli-shun manages to destroy the Imperial Troopers and disarm Ferav. Ferav challenges him to kill him, it is not the Jedi way. He will fall to the Dark Side. Kenli-shun beheads him when Ferav shoots lightning at Kira.
Escorting Jaesa and Kira to the Talex, they contact General Var Suthra, who informs them that SIS analysts have discovered that Darth Angral has sent Imperial Intilligence operatives to all Republican worlds to obtain the superweapons. He needs to go to Taris and Nar Shaddaa to recover the schematics. General Var Suthra thanks him. While travelling to Taris, Kenli-shun is contacted by Flight Commander Judin of the Republic Fleet, asking him for a support in escorting a Senatorial shuttle to a Republic Cruiser. Kenli-shun agrees and escorts the shuttle to the cruiser, fighting off Imperial Starfighters and a unknown Fury-class Sith Interceptor, piloted by a pilot strong in the Force.
Mission to Taris[]
Taris ... once a beautifull planet, gloring with the Republic's hopes and dreams. Now a wasteland ... thank some Sith Lord for releasing a deadly plague.
—A random citizen to Kenli-shun on arrival
Kenli-shun arrives in the orbit around Taris and contacts General Var Suthra. Var Suthra tells him of Doctor Nasan Godera, a renowned Republic scientist who was partly responsible for the creation of all the superweapon projects of the Republic. He disappeared shortly after the Sacking of Coruscant, but only recently resurfaced on Taris after SIS Agents discovered the particular interest of Imperial Intelligence in the projects and the scientist himself. Kenli-shun is ordered by Var Suthra to track down and secure Doctor Godera. Before landing on the planet, Kenli-shun should acquire a Rakghoul Serum, which will protect him from the Rakghoul plague. When asked why, Var Suthra explains how the Sith had released the Rakghoul virus onto the planet hundred of years ago. It would transform humans and aliens alike into mindless flesh eating beasts. A scratch or a bite would be enough to become infected. Once transformed the human is lost forever. General Var Suthra wishes him luck and Kenli-shun sets course for the orbital station.
Arriving at the orbital station of Taris, he and Kira meet with Doctor Arnis, a lead scientist in finding a cure for the Rakghoul disease. Doctor Arnis presents him with a serum, injecting him with it. Doctor Arnis then seems to recognize Kira, saying he had seen her before in Forbidden Space. Kenli-shun inquires to his Padawan about this, and Kira tells a bit about her past, how she lived from planet to planet before Master Kiwiiks found her, mostly stowing away aboard ships. Kenli-shun is sorry to learn those facts about Kira's past, but Kira thinks he should know more, if they will built up a bond of trust. Doctor Arnis, though a little hesitant, wishes them luck on the planet below and Kenli-shun and Kira go back to the ship, descending down to Taris.
Arriving on planet, Kenli-shun and Kira escort Jaesa Willsaam to the Temple Embassy. Jaesa thanks him and tells Kenli-shun they will surely meet again. Kenli-shun wishes her luck with her training and tells her they really need to move. Jaesa expresses her disbelief in the fact that the Jedi Order had not directly send a Jedi to fetch her, but rather someone who was passing by the planet. Kenli-shun thanks her and they leave. Leaving to the coordinates Var Suthra had provided them with, they arrive at an overrun laboratory, overrun by both the Rakghoul and Imperial forces. Taking out various camera's and security droids, Kenli-shun and Kira manage to make it to the center. Here they kill the leading captain, Gerrard and seize holofeed from a man named Watcher One. He reveals how he knows of the Knight's exploits on Tython and his adventures leading up here. He knows that the Jedi killed Tarnis and that Darth Angral has ordered all resources of the Empire to hunt down Kenli-shun. As Kenli-shun tells Kira to trace the transmission, the holoterminal is destroyed by a sniper shot. From the top floor an agent reveals himself from stealth mode, but Kenli-shun manages to leap to him and knock him out cold before he could make a move. Noticing the Rakghoul flooding the place, Kenli-shun hurries out of the laboratory.
Outside Kenli-shun and Kira meet the droid assistant of Doctor Godera, RE-M0, who overrides his own programming allowing him to speak with Kenli-shun personally. RE-M0 had been spying on the Imperials and tells Kenli-shun Watcher One personally came to the facility to track Doctor Godera's biosignature. Currently his own interface is not even able to interact with the computer network in the lab and RE-M0 suggests Kenli-shun repairs the various comm relays in the area. Kenli-shun promises to do so and they set out to the first comm relay. Finding the relay under heavy protection by an Imperial team, the duo manages to kill them all. Kira slices the relay and finds out the second relay can be found in Rakghoul territory. Obtaining an extra layer of protection from a nearby outpost, Kenli-shun and Kira make their way through Rakgoul hordes and slice the second relay. That reveals the third relay to be situated in an area filled with scavengers and pirates. Driving these off, Kira slices the third comm relay and contacts RE-M0, who informs Kenli-shun that the signal going through the relays came from an abandoned factory near Lake Brell. Heading there, they catch up with Nende.
Nende tells them how he has recovered a holocron that was reported as stolen from Tython. Nende had contacted Master Udonis, who told him he should hand the holocron over to Kenli-shun. Kenli-shun thanks him for his assistance and Nende tells him Guan-ryar actually was responsible for apprehending the holder of this holocron. He let SIS take him into custody and is currently transported to Tython. Kenli-shun thanks him and they seperate again. Continueing on to the abandoned factory, they have to make their way through Resistance camps, sparing whoever they can. Eventually they arrive at the abandoned factory, which is protected by three droids. From the lab, T7 and RE-M0 manage to override their commands and disable them enough so that Kira and Kenli-shun can take them out. Inside the factory, Kenli-shun finds a Rodian slave named Vulaa, one of Godera's assistants. Vulaa told Kenli-shun the base was overrun and that the Imperials lead by Watcher One had taken Doctor Godera with them. Vulaa revealed the Imperials had hidden themselves in a different part of the factory.
Fighting their way through an Imperial Protector Platoon, Kenli-shun and Kira arrived in a different lab where Doctor Godera was lying dead on the feet of Watcher One. However before Watcher One could convince Kenli-shun, RE-M0 and T7 entered the room and RE-M0 informed Kenli-shun that Doctor Godera was in fact still alive. At that moment RE-M0 was shot by Vulaa with pulse blast, revealing Vulaa to be an elite Imperial Soldier in holographic disguise. Realizing it was all a set up, Kenli-shun kicked over the body of the fake Godera, revealing it to be another elite Imperial Trooper in disguise. With two quick moves Kenli-shun takes care of both. Watcher One transforms into a heavily armed Commando Captain and the two struggle for control. Kenli-shun thriumphs and tells T7 to slice the mainframe. Watcher One, the real one, appears on hologram, tells him Kenli-shun must make a choice now. Come to his location now or save an Republic Outpost. A Sith asssassin is on her way to slay the Republic outpost. Watcher One hands Kenli-shun the location. Kenli-shun makes the choice to save the outpost first before coming after Watcher One and Godera.
Heading to the location of the outpost, Kenli-shun meets up with Nende again and enlists his help in taking down the Sith assassin heading for the outpost. Arriving just in time, Kenli-shun and Nende manage to secure the people inside, including the real Vulaa. At that moment the assassin arrives, Lord Rora Seake with her two pet Jorguran. Nende handles both the Jorguran while Kenli-shun takes on the assassin. Killing all, Kenli-shun and Nende part ways again and Kenli-shun picks up T7 and Kira from the factory before heading over to the location of Watcher One, right in Rakghoul infested territory.
Entering an old part of the Taris sewers, they make their way through the Rakghoul infested place and Kenli-shun and Kira cover T7 while the droid slices the security door. Arriving in time to see Watcher One start interrogation on the real Nasen Godera, Kenli-shun attempts to negotiate a deal with the Imperial Agent. When Darth Angral makes his entrance through a holographic projection, Darth Angral tells Watcher One he failed. If he wants to come clean to the Dark Council, Watcher One must kill Kenli-shun. Watcher One apologizes to Kenli-shun, saying he never intended to kill him, but he is under orders. Stunning Kira, Watcher One leaves Kenli-shun and T7 to face him and two Mark III Power Guards, two cybernetically enhanced Imperial Soldiers. T7 manages to disable both the enhanced soldiers and Kenli-shun wounds Watcher One enough to make him discontinue the fight. Sensing that Watcher One was a man of honor, despite Darth Angral's command, Kenli-shun allows him to leave the planet under SIS protection. Darth Angral however, having watched the entire fight, does not allow this and orders a hidden sniper to take out Watcher One and Godera. Able to save Godera, but not Watcher One. T7 manages to overload the power generators inside the station, revealing the identity of the sniper for a short moment, before he disappears.
SIS Agents lead by Agent Fau-kas arrive and tell Kenli-shun they have been ordered by General Var Suthra to bring Doctor Godera to Coruscant. Kenli-shun willingly relinguishes Godera to the SIS and Agent Fau-kas tells him to report to General Var Suthra as soon as he can, there is trouble arising. One of their own has disappeared. Kenli-shun agrees and leaves for the spaceport.
The Power Guard Project[]
Returning to his ship, Kenli-shun learns that Agent Galen has disappeared from General Var Suthra. Var Suthra is especially concerned since Agent Galen is fully up to date on all advancements they have made on this crisis. Var Suthra relies Agent Galen's last known location and objective; on Nar Shaddaa Agent Galen and a detachment from SFOD would secure the Power Guard Project, a superweapon project previously set up by the Republic to built cybernetically enhanced "super soldiers" that could aid the Republic in a renewed war against the Sith Empire. Kenli-shun inquires that the Republic has the Jedi for that cause, but Var Suthra tells that the Jedi Council never completely recovered from the blow of the Sacking of Coruscant and now this project had been commissioned by the Senate. Var Suthra fears that not only has the project fallen into the hands of the Empire, Agent Galen and the SFOD detachment might as well. As Kenli-shun has all the details from previous missions, it is his job to find and track down Agent Galen and at the same time secure the Power Guard Project.
Arriving on Nar Shaddaa, Kenli-shun and Kira make their way to the Gadget Emporium ran by a Nautolan called Gunran. According to Var Suthra, this is actually a SIS cover for a safehouse on the second floor. Kenli-shun and Kira meet with local SIS Bureau Chief Rieekan, who is infuriated that the SIS was not warned of SFOD involvement in this mission. Nevertheless Rieekan informs Kenli-shun further of the project, saying the designed Power Guards were meant to be able to take on a Sith Lord single-handedly. After the Planet Prison files had disappeared, SIS had dispatched an operative to Nar Shaddaa to check upon it, the operative however never reported in. Kenli-shun promises to look after this as well. Before leaving, Rieekan tells Kenli-shun there is another secure holo frequency coming in. It is Master Udonis, who asks Kenli-shun to retrieve a holocron from Nar Shaddaa, hidden in Shadow Town. This holocron is rumored to be one of the holocrons able to unlock the locations of the Ancient Superweapons. Kenli-shun agrees to do so.
Travelling to the Nikto Sector, Kenli-shun meets up with a surviving SFOD soldier named Isko Qwuinn, who tells him of the disappearance of his squad. Isko tells he was barely able to survive, by hiding in the slums of the Nikto Sector, pretending to be one of the thieves living there. He tells Agent Galen had made several coded reports and that Kenli-shun should be able to pick up a trace from there. Giving the locations of three drop points, Kenli-shun and Kira made their way through the Nikto territory, blowing a few speeders up for distraction and managed to take the first two reports. The third report was in a cantina chamber where the crime lord Raviin was living. Negotiating his way in, Kenli-shun managed to nick the report before Raviin actually understood what it was all about. Returning to the point where Qwuinn was, Kenli-shun is horrified to find that Qwuinn was shot and killed by a single head shot. Reporting this in, Rieekan tells him to return to the safehouse.
Rieekan seems troubled by the death of the SIS Agent, believing there might be a leak then inside the SIS or a really vengefull crime lord. One of his subordinates interrupts, Korol Tander, telling him they have found evidence that Raviin is behind this. Kenli-shun finds it difficult to believe. Rieekan orders an Omega Alert to be issued and after a while Tander explains that none of the field units have called in. Rieekan explains to Kenli-shun this may be the work of the Nikto's, but they do not have the technology for it nor the resources, unless they are backed by Imperials. One of his analysts uncovers the location of a recruitment center for the Power Guard Project from the reports Kenli had recovered and Kenli-shun and Kira agree to check it out on Rieekan's suggestion.
They travel to the recruitment center's location only to find it under the control by Imperial Shock Troopers. Fighting their way through them, they find a surviving scientist, who tells Kenli-shun that Agent Galen had been captured by the Imperial forces and brought to an unknown location in the Red Light Sector. Succumbing to his wounds afterwards, Kenli-shun contacts Rieekan, who tells him to return to him quickly, they have uncovered evidence of the murder of Qwuinn. Kenli-shun make it back to the shop, where Rieekan seems stressed and he shows a holorecording of the moment Qwuinn was killed. A female operative had blindsided Qwuinn and killed him. Not sure what to think of this, Kenli asks what is so special about her. Rieekan tells him, she was the operative they originally had send to Nar Shaddaa to secure the files. If she is a traitor then all operations on Nar Shaddaa are in danger. Kenli-shun promises he will track her down. Rieekan seems less pleased with having to inform Generals Var Suthra and Garza.
Arriving in the Red Lights Sector, Kenli-shun and Kira are contacted by Rieekan again, telling them to take out power nodes to locate the lab. Doing so, Rieekan is able to pinpoint the location and Kenli-shun and Kira storm the lab. Cutting their way through the Imperial forces occupying the facility, they find an Imperial Officer conversing with a Sith Lord over the holorecording. Kenli-shun recognizes him as one of the apprentices of Darth Angral. The apprentice introduces himself as Lord Sadic and orders the Imperial Officer to take care of him. The Imperial Officer activated three remote Mark I Power Guards and attacked the duo, however their attacks were useless against Kenli-shun and Kira. Before he was able to get answers from the Officer, Lord Sadic once more appeared over the holoprojector activating an override protocol in one of the Power Guards killing the Officer with a single blaster shot, before turning down permanently. Kenli-shun retrieved a datapad from the body of the Officer and Lord Sadic laughs, saying he looks forward to meeting him.
Returning to the Promenade with the datapad, Kenli-shun and Kira discover the safehouse to be overrun by a squad of Mark II Power Guards. Eliminating the immediate threat, Kenli-shun and Kira discover Agents Tander and Rieekan to be killed. The remaining agent, Diyaz, agrees to help Kenli-shun and decripts the datapad for him, finding out that the Sith Lord had taken the Power Guard Project research papers to a hidden base in the Lower Industrial Sector. On his way already, Kenli-shun orders Diyaz to contact General Var Suthra immediately for reinforcements. Diyaz agrees to do so. Making his way through several Imperial checkpoints in the Lower Industrial Sector, he finds none other then Agent Galen to be standing between him and the research. Agent Galen was forcefully transformed into a Power Guard cyborg and reveals that he can no longer control his own actions. Lord Sadic appears in a hologram, telling Kenli-shun he has complete control over Galen's body. While encouraging he can be helped, Galen tries to emotionally override the protocols of Lord Sadic, but he activates the Kill Protocol, which eliminates any biosignature from the Power Guard and make him completely obedient to the Sith Lord.
Forced to engage his ally, Kenli-shun battles the cyborg Galen while Kira holds of the Power Guards. Galen finally is subdued by Kenli-shun and the fight had overloaded all the systems controlling him, making Galen free from control of Lord Sadic. Galen tells Kenli-shun the process is irreversible and that he will be a cyborg for all life. Wanting to go out with a purpose served well, Galen heads for Shadow Town, where Lord Sadic' base is located. Kenli-shun and Kira follow him to Shadow Town, where also the holocron is located, however Kenli-shun deems Galen and Sadic more important now. Fighting his way through the Imperial defenders and Mark V Power Guards, Kenli-shun and Kira find Galen, severely hurt from his battle with Sadic. Kenli-shun tells him to relax, he will take it over from here. Confronting Lord Sadic, Kenli-shun is horrified to find out that the Sith Lord had enhanced himself with the Power Guard Project.
Lord Sadic welcomes him to his lair. Kenli-shun acted disgusted by the transformation of Sadic into a cyborg and tells him the enhancements will mean the end of his life. Lord Sadic says he has served his master well, and his master will not let him fall. At that moment Agent Galen came charging in, saying he will not let the Sith Lord let him do as he wants and before Kenli-shun can stop him, attacks Lord Sadic. Forced to help now, Kenli-shun and Kira leap into battle and overcome the cybernetically enhanced Sith Lord. Forcing him onto his knees, Kenli-shun orders to surrender, but Sadic refuses. Agent Galen kills him with a single blaster shot before being stunned. The operative from the holoviewer appears, introducing herself as Mima Nosval and that she is so glad Kenli-shun had come to save her. Kenli-shun tells her this is not the case as he knows she killed a SFOD soldier.
Mima tells him it was an unfortunate accident, he was standing in her way. Agent Diyaz enters the facility and brings along Vyzen and Aric Jorgan and a black armored squad. However forcefields activate seperating them from Kenli-shun, Kira, Agent Galen and Mima Nosval. Slicing doesn't help and Vyzen tells Kenli-shun they have no way to get in. Kenli-shun asks Mima whether she has done this and she laughs, revealing she was an Imperial Intelligence Operative all the time, to secure the Power Guard Project schematics for the Empire if Lord Sadic would fail. A second person appears who tells Kenli-shun he is happy he finally meets him in person and then turns his attention to Mima. While still standing in the shadows, the person tells Mima she failed her mission, the Jedi is still alive and calls her Nova 3. Before she can protest, the man in the shadows kills her with a single shot between the eyes. As he steps from the shadows, he is revealed to be the Imperial Operative that blew up Nova Base on Ord Mantell, Nova 7. He smirks as he kicks Mima's body, retrieving the datapad from her and tells Kenli-shun not to follow him. This chamber has been rigged with explosives and a Pulse Bomb, that will instantly kill Galen and Vyzen, who has cybernetic implants as well. Having no choice, Kenli-shun relents and lets Nova 7 disappear.
The forcefields disappear and Diyaz and Vyzen come to the aid. Vyzen tells Kenli-shun he got the call from General Garza and was told to meet up with Diyaz immediately. Diyaz introduces the squad accompanying them as the Black Star Commandoes, another squad of highly trained operatives falling under supervision of General Garza. Going to the main console to see what schematics Nova 3 and Lord Sadic had taken, Diyaz discovers nothing is missing and the Power Guard Schematics are still there. The question remains then what did Nova 7 take from the lab? Kenli-shun orders the Black Star Commandoes to escort Agent Galen back to Coruscant, reminding Galen Lord Sadic no longer has any control over him. Before leaving, Kenli-shun orders Diyaz to erase everything on the Power Guard Project and he and Vyzen leave while that happens. However before Diyaz can leave, the explosives are triggered and destroy the lab with Diyaz inside. Unhappy about the loss of another life, Kenli-shun and Vyzen part ways and Kenli-shun goes to the location Master Udonis had told him the holocron was.
Arriving in the night club in Shadow Town, Kenli-shun is forced to bargain with a group of bouncers and thugs to enter. Finally able to enter the night club, Kenli-shun confronts a slave trader over the holocron, but the slave trader told him he sold off his debts with it to Raviin, who owns this night club. Making his way to Raviin, Kenli-shun demands the holocron to be returned to his possession, but Raviin refuses. Raviin engages the experienced Jedi into a battle and Kenli-shun has no choice but to kill him in order to retrieve the holocron. His mission finally over, he heads back to the spaceport and to his ship.
Kira's Secret[]
On the Talex Kenli-shun contacted Var Suthra who was relieved to hear Agent Galen was alive. Var Suthra also was saddened with the loss of Tander and Rieekan, but relieved that the files on the Power Guard Project were destroyed. Kenli-shun brings the troubling news of Nova 7 and Var Suthra tells him he will let SIS and SFOD look into it, he thought Nova 7 was all but a ghost, but the past meetings proof otherwise. A more important issue was rising as the Republic was contacted by an Imperial Admiral called Hacklin, who was one of Angral's closest advisors. Hacklin wanted to defect and believing the Admiral might have gotten a death mark, Var Suthra decides on sending Kenli-shun and Kira to meet up with him. Kenli-shun agrees to do so and travels to the given location, an abandoned mining facility.
Arriving there, Kenli orders T7 to slice the facility's systems to see what was going on inside. T7 noted there was not much activity, except for one Imperial Shuttle and one life sign. Kenli tells T7 to guard the ship as he and Kira proceed into the facility. Proceeding to where the shuttle was located, Kenli-shun and Kira noted it was dark and that the only light came from the shuttle's ramp. Approaching with caution, they were welcomed by a young man identifying himself as Valis, and apparently knows Kira. Kira warns Kenli-shun of this, telling Kenli to kill Valis, but Kenli wants to hear him out. Kenli demands to see Hacklin after which Valis reveals the dead and decapacitated body of Admiral Hacklin. Kira tells Kenli this is exactly what Valis is capable of. Kenli must kill him, she urges, before he does the same to them. Kenli demands to know what is going on and Valis tells him to ask Kira, after all they are both a Child of the Emperor. They are family. Kenli asks Kira if she knows what Valis means, and Kira refuses to tell.
Valis says he and Kira are extensions of their "father" and tells he has no fight with the Jedi. He was here to lure out Kira. Hacklin did want to defect, but he was only a tool. Valis urges Kenli to step aside to take Kira home, but Kenli refuses. Before Valis can react, Kira charges him furiously and Kenli is forced to aid his Padawan, cutting Valis down in the end. Valis in his dying moments tells Kenli the Children have infiltrated the Republic. There is no way to run, the Sith Emperor and his Children will be the ultimate rulers over all. Kira cannot run from her destiny. As he dies, Kira follows her master silently back to the Talex and no words are spoken as they leave the mining facility.
Kira finally musters the courage to speak to Kenli, who feels relieved as he wanted Kira to come forward with this. Kira explains how she was born in Imperial space. A Sith master had discovered her Force talents and brought her to Korriban. Kenli feels sorry for her, but Kira says she actually believed back then she was fighting for the good cause. Kenli tells her she didn't know the other side, she did not know the Republic or the Jedi Order yet. Kira tells Kenli how she had to go through horrible trials on the planet but also how during her stay acolytes disappeared, some for weeks even. Kenli deduces this happened to Kira as well and Kira confirms this. She couldn't remember a thing from what she did during those times. She couldn't remember where she was or what she did. Fearing the frequent dreams she had, she confronted others, believing that their dreams combined might resolve into something but none remembered anything except what Kira knew. Kira concludes how she got away from Korriban, stowed away on a spice freighter and arrived on Nar Shaddaa where she became part of a gang of refugees, who were her family. Kenli deduces the Emperor wasn't her biological father, but rather a title bestowed upon them. Kira concludes with how Master Kiwiiks found her and brought her to Tython, to be trained and how she kept her past a secret carefully.
Kenli-shun tells Kira the Jedi Council must be informed. He will protect her however he can, but they must know, if the Children are inside the Republic much more can be at stake. Kenli contacts Var Suthra, who feels sorry he send them into a trap, but has more disturbing news as Master Kiwiiks and Master Orgus Din had been lost contact with on Tatooine and Alderaan. Deciding the Jedi Council must be informed first, Kenli sets course for Tython. He tell General Var Suthra he will contact him once he arrived on Tatooine. Feeling Kira is emotionally very shaky, he comforts her, but Kira protests as it is not the Jedi way. Kenli tells her it is a matter of opinion and tells her he will help her however he can.
Back to Tython[]
Returning on Tython, Kenli-shun, Kira and T7 meet with Master Udonis who requests that Kenli-shun hands the two holocrons he retrieved to him, as per request by the Jedi Council. Initially hesitant, because Kenli-shun was not told by someone from the Jedi Council to do so, he hands them over to Master Udonis and he wishes Kenli luck. Continuing on to the Council's Chambers, Kira expresses her belief that Udonis is not telling the entire story and Kenli-shun while informing Kira of the sentiment, expresses a likewise idea. Coming before the Jedi Council, Kenli-shun asks Kira to tell her story to the Council as she told him. As she does she hopes her former master can forgive her, but Master Kiwiiks is not there. Syo Bakarn tells her she did the right thing, he knows she can be trusted. Jaric Kaedan has a more reserved opinion. Kenli-shun expresses his trust in Kira and how he would put his life in her hands anytime. Master Satele Shan puts it aside, knowing Kira is in safe hands with Kenli. They have bigger trouble to handle now, with Master Orgus Din who disappeared after his last mission in the Mid Rim and Master Kiwiiks having disappeared on Tatooine. Satele Shan tells Kenli-shun to contact her once he is on the ship. Kenli-shun thanks her and leaves.
Before returning to his ship, Kenli-shun, Kira and T7 visit the caves near the Forge once more, where Kenli-shun carves out a new blue crystal for his lightsaber. Kira acquires a new green one for her saber and Kenli-shun stores one more crystal within T7, who is happy to carry it for his master. At that moment Tali, the apprentice of Master Udonis meets with them and tells them, she could use their help with freeing a group of students from a rogue squad of Republic troopers. Helping her out, Kenli-shun asks Tali what Master Udonis has done with the holocrons he obtained from Kenli-shun. Kenli-shun and his companions are surprised when Tali asks what holocrons he is talking about, as far as she knows Master Udonis never brought back holocrons from the arrivals gate. Kenli-shun seems suspicious but does not want to alarm Tali. When they secure the students and catch the troopers, Kira is forced to cut down the leader before he manages to blast T7. Leaving Tali for herself again, Kenli-shun and his companions return to the ship.
The Shock Drum and Sand Demon[]
Not sensing Master Kiwiiks, Kira expresses her concern over her former master to Kenli-shun, who fears Kiwiiks might have fallen to Angral's forces. Setting course for the desert world, Kenli tries to assure Kira they will find Master Kiwiiks and they get a little to comfortable, seperated only by T7 who alerts them they have arrived at the spaceport. Kenli contacts General Var Suthra who tells them that the Republic has one major facility in Anchorhead. No more activity has been found from there, so Var Suthra suspects Imperials may be involved in activity there. The facility is also rumored to be overrun by Mandalorian mercenaries that have been tasked by Angral to secure the superweapon and captured the Jedi Master there. Var Suthra warns Kenli to be careful. He then tells Kenli about the superweapon built and hidden there, the Shock Drum. With its vibrations it has awoken an ancient species called Sand Demons and these are rumored to go around the caves of Tatooine. While the technology is banned, the facility did have one working prototype. Kenli-shun must acquire and secure the prototype before the Empire will use it and reproduce it.
After arriving in Anchorhead, Kenli and Kira met up with a SIS Operative named Logar, who leads them to the outskirts of Anchorhead, telling the two Jedi that the facility is just located outside Anchorhead. Travelling through the hot desert, Kenli-shun and Kira take care of various Imperial and Mandalorian scouts and probe droids. Calling upon T7 to sabotage the door's security, Kira and Kenli enter the facility, and are forced to defend themselves against Mandalorian mercenaries. Finding the facility to have no Shock Drum prototype, Kira turns rather desperate when she does feel her old master but it starts to fade away. Kenli manages to use T7 to trace back a signal coming from a secondary facility within the Jundland Wastes and Kira fears the facility and Kiwiiks might have been overrun by the native Sand People.
Arriving in the Jundlands, Kenli and Kira made their way into the facility, that was overrun by Sand People. Not only finding the Republic guard slaughtered, but also finding it happened by a lightsaber, Kenli and Kira find a group of Jawa's, another species of Tatooine hiding upstairs and a Human named Hare'en. Hare'en had given the vacated facility as a home to the family of Jawa's with her, including the Jawa Brrik, who is the head of his family. Hare'en asks if they are here to recover and/or protect the Shock Drum. Kenli explains, after the subject sparked Kira's interest, noting that Master Kiwiiks was here to protect it too. Kenli sets out with Kira to set up sensor beacons around the Jundland. While setting up the beacons, they are swarmed with Geonosian warriors and they have to fight them off. Due to timely intervention by Vyzen and Nende Kenli-shun manages to decapacitate the leader of the Geonosian clan. Thanking his fellow Republic fighters, Kenli plants the final beacon and Hare'en contacts them, saying the Shock Drum has been relocated to an abandoned facility within the Jundland Canyon.
The transmission however is jammed and interrupted by a Sith Lord, who introduces himself formerly as Lord Praven. Kenli recognizes him as being one of the apprentices of Darth Angral. Praven announces he holds the only signal disruptor that can stop the Shock Drum. Putting pressure on their confrontation Praven activates the Shock Drum remotely, making the planet shake for a short while. Kira demands to know where Master Kiwiiks is, however Praven tells him he will wait for Kenli-shun in a hidden remote area in the northern chasm, the Esus Mesa. Traveling there, Kenli-shun discovers that the Sith Lord, unlike his master, is a man of honor and loyalty. Praven seems deeply conflicted and Kenli-shun attempts to bring him to the Light Side. Praven however retaliates and Kenli-shun is forced to engage Praven in a one on one duel. Defeating him, Praven bows to the Jedi Knight, saying he is a man of honor and he admits defeat. Now defeat him as he seems fit. Tempted, Kenli-shun swings his saber but destroys Praven's lightsaber instead, saying it is not the Jedi way to kill a defeated enemy. Kenli says he sees loyalty in him and there is potential to the Light Side, Praven should not waste it. Praven asks him what to do and Kenli says first to hand over the device he needs to stop the Shock Drum.
Kenli-shun leaves the area and Praven asks him what he should do. Kenli-shun tells him to go to the nearest Republic Outpost. Kenli tells him to tell them he send him and they should bring him to Tython. Praven agrees to do so and Kenli-shun and Kira set out for the next outpost where they meet up with T7, who hitched a ride on a thrawler. Here however they are called to help by Watcher Commander Milaan to recover sniper rifles from the Sand People clan nearby. Seeing as they are on their way to the Dune Sea and the clan's location in on their way, Kenli agrees to do so. Having no choice then to kill the sharpshooters nearby, Kenli recovers a batch of sniper rifles, which is transported by a pair of SIS Agents and T7 who promises to meet them at the Dune Sea's outpost.
Finally making their way to the Dune Sea's outpost, they are met by Nende and Captain Rayalas, who hand him two datacrons they recovered from the Outlaw's Den and Port Nowhere. They also ask his help in tracking down the remains of SIS Agents and Republic Troopers around a large Sarlacc Pit in the Dune Sea. Traveling there, they need to take down an ambush party of Imperial Snipers and then run into a patrolling party of Gamorreans, they are forced to kill. Arriving at the Sarlacc Pitt, Kenli-shun and Nende are unable to trace the remains of the Agents and soldiers, however Rayalas manages to find the dogtags of them. They return to the outpost, where they deliver the dogtags to the Watch Commander. Nende offers to tag along to the Shock Drum and Kenli-shun accepts the aid.
Kenli-shun, Nende, Kira and T7 travel to the location that Praven gave them, however Hare'en informs them Brrik and his family have gone there in fear of losing the planet to the Sand Demon and the Shock Drum. Hare'en implores Kenli-shun to save them, to which the Knight agrees and the group rush to the location. Here they are forced to fight through swarms of Sand People and Sand Broodlings and while Nende manages to recover Brrik and his family, Kenli is cut off from his ally. He, T7 and Kira are forced to face down the Sand Demon on their own. Upon defeating them, the vibrations of the Shock Drum have grown worse and the party has difficulty to get down there. When Nende finally manages to blow up the rubble surrounding him and the Jawa family with a powerfull Force Wave, T7 is able to activate the device and knock out the Shock Drum. Kira and Nende immediately treat to the fallen Master Kiwiiks, healing her up. With help from the Jawa family and Nende, they bury the Shock Drum under the sand to never be uncovered again.
Kira starts to apologize to Master Kiwiiks and here it is that both Master Kiwiiks and Nende hear her backstory for the first time. Master Kiwiiks however tells Kira she is proud of the woman she has become and she believes she will do great as a Padawan to Kenli-shun. She will always be proud of her former apprentice. While Nende and the Jawa family escort Master Kiwiiks back to the Dune Sea's outpost, Kenli-shun, Kira and T7 make their way back to Anchorhead.
Chasing the Nova[]
Once returned to Anchorhead however, Kenli-shun would be contacted by Nende, who informs him Watch Commander Milaan has been murdered by an unknown assassin. All the local Republic troops found were the initials "N7". Widening his eyes, knowing exactly who that was, Kenli warns Nende to be carefull, the one who killed Milaan is much more then a match for them. Their transmission however is interrupted by Nova 7 himself, who confirms his kill of Milaan, informing Kenli-shun not everything is what it looked like. Kenli-shun demands to know what he means. Nova 7 says he will have much more important business to deal with in a minute. He reveals he holds three Republic dignitaries hostage at three locations and one other - Brrik's family and Hare'en - somewhere in Anchorhead. All locations are rigged to explode, Kenli-shun has 5 minutes to decide which to decide. He disconnect and Kenli-shun urges Nende to return to Anchorhead immediately.
Sending Kira and T7 each to one location, Kenli deduces he cannot be at both locations in Anchorhead. Nova 7 contacts him again, saying he just send his Padawan and faithfull droid to their demise. Kenli-shun gets contacted by Kira saying she is at their location and about to free the dignitary. Kenli tries to warn her however the transmission gets cut off speech and Kenli attempts to get to her as soon as possible, however he is faced by the choice of either letting the dignitaries and Brrik's family and Hare'en die. At the moment he makes the decision, two explosions are heard and seen. Kenli angrily tries to get in contact with Kira and T7, but to no avail. He then rushes to the nearest location, the one of Brrik and Hare'en, and manages to pull them out just in time before the explosives detonate. Unknown to what happened with his Padawan and Droid, Kenli leads Brrik and Hare'en to safety just when the fourth explosion is heard.
Very well done Master Jedi ... very well done. You passed the test.
—Nova 7's final words to Kenli-shun before disconnecting
Rushing to the locations of T7 and Kira, he finds T7 to have barely escaped in time with the dignitary. Relieved his droid was okay they rush to Kira's location, who is revealed to be alive as well, thanks to Nende, who was just in time to pull her out. The dignitary however did not survive. Nende and Kenli-shun find out the final location held a dignitary as well and Nova 7 contacts Kenli-shun again saying the dignitary was a rogue member of the SIS and an informant to Imperial Intelligence who outlived his usefullness. Nothing is what it seems, he should know it by now. Nova 7 concludes with congratulating Kenli-shun on passing the test. Before explaining more, Nova 7 disconnects. Nende and Kenli-shun part ways, saying they will meet again. The mayor of Anchorhead request Kenli-shun to escort the surviving dignitary to Alderaan, to which Kenli-shun agrees.
The first of the defectors[]
My name is Lani-ryar and I fled from the Empire ... from my mother.
—The female guard against Kenli-shun
Before contacting General Suhtra, T7 picks up a distress signal from a derelict space vessel. Kenli-shun opens the signal, learning of the vessel's commander being part of House Organa. He asks what the distress signal is about and the commander informs him they are a diplomatic vessel on the way from Coruscant to Alderaan. The commander tells there has been sabotaging on the ship, making it impossible for the vessel to continue its course. The commander asks Kenli-shun to come aboard and flush out the saboteur. Finding the vessel on its way, Kenli agrees to dock at the airlock and enters the ship. Being lead to the bridge, Kenli orders T7 to connect itself to the ship's mainframe. It is then that the droid recognizes where the disruptor signal comes from and Kenli-shun and Kira go down to the location, being escorted by a young female House Organa guard.
Arriving at the sabotage point, Kenli-shun, Kira and the guard are unable to find the saboteur, but they do find the disruptor who emits the signal slowly disabling all electronic systems on the ship. Destroying the device, Kenli-shun sends Kira back to the bridge to inform the commander of their success. Kira asks him if he will be okay and Kenli tells her to go. He then confronts the guard who really insisted to come with him, asking her why she placed the device here. The female guard refuses to answer, saying she did not place it here. At that point the true saboteur enters the hallway, attempting to blindside Kenli-shun and kill him, however the female guard pushes him out of the way and then uses the Force to grab the weapon to her and she kills the assailant in retaliation.
Finding a second disruptor on the body of the saboteur, Kenli-shun deduces the assailant is the true saboteur and thanks the female guard for pushing him out of the way, however insists wanting to know how she was able to use the Force that skillfully. The female guard reveals the assailant wasn't meant to kill him, it was her the assailant was after. Kenli-shun widens his eyes asking why. The female guard reveals her name is Lani-ryar and that she fled from the Sith Empire and her mother, a newly appointed Dark Lord of the Sith. She could not stand the horrors of her mother's life and she had to leave the life behind and start all over. She stowed away on the personal cruiser of the commander, who agreed to bring her to safety eventually adding her to the personell on the cruiser they are on now.
Kenli-shun and Lani-ryar meet up with the commander, who is informed by Lani she has revealed her being here to the Jedi Knight and Kenli offers to take her under his wing as an informal apprentice and escort her to Tython or Coruscant where she can be tested by the Republic and the Jedi Order. The commander asks Lani if she wants that. Lani asks if she actually stands a chance in joining the Jedi Order, considering her past as the daughter of a Dark Lord of the Sith. Kenli assures her that she will get a chance but the first steps will be hard. Lani agrees to join him on his way to Alderaan and joins the crew. Kenli and Lani say goodbye to the commander and leave the cruiser.
The Death Mark on Alderaan[]
If we don't survive this ... you're fired
—Master Orgus Din against Kenli
Now accompanied by Lani-ryar and the surviving dignitary, Kenli-shun, Kira and T7 bring Lani up to date with their situation. Knowing his master is on Alderaan, Kenli-shun quickly contacts General Var Suthra, who says he hasn't been able to contact Master Din yet. Its a true warzone on Alderaan with the numerous Houses fighting each other in the name of either the Republic, the Empire or of independance. Suthra gets to the point why they are there, saying yet another Super Weapon project is in jeopardy. The Death Mark laser is composed of three components, a targeting device, a central computer and an orbital satelite laser. The targeting device would be used to tag people with an untraceable and nearly unremovable spray that would allow the central computer to track the tagged person anywhere on the planet and if necessary execute on the spot. It had a major disadvantage as the targeting device had to be within 20 meters of the target in order to work. Var Suthra orders Kenli to meet up with Count Alde on Coruscant, who co-funded the project and may know more about Orgus Din's location.
Landing at Palista Spaceport, on his way to House Alde, Kenli, Kira and Lani teamed up with Nende and Vyzen and their companions Elara Dorne and Qyzen Fess to take down rebelling Alde supporters while Kenli also repaired some of the nearby communications arrays of House Alde. Arriving finally at House Alde, after saying good bye to Nende and Vyzen, Kenli, Kira and Lani find Count Alde being accompanied by a Mirialan woman called Aleyna Hark. Hark who previously had worked with the Death Mark project, explained how the facility had come under attack by Imperial Commandoes, led by Commander Tavus. She made it out because Master Orgus Din had come to the rescue and took out most of the Imperial Commando's. However Tavus and a secondary adversary, a Sith Lord, stabbed Din in the back, killing him. Now the Sith Lord had Killiks overrun the facility and control it.
Trying to come up with a plan of attack, Count Alde paced back and forth, however Lani was the first to notice a red light on his chest. Informing Kenli of this, Kenli dove for the count but was to late as the Death Mark had hit the count before he could push him out of the way. With the count dead, the Alde guards labelled Kenli as a traitor, but Hark and Lani inform them of Kenli's status as a Jedi Knight of the Jedi Order. Hark and Lani offer themselves as prisoners so that Kenli could meet up with T7 and travel to the overrun facility, to which the Guard Captain agreed.
