Keeper's Chronicles is a Star Wars fan-work of Number Wan, created in 1995-2012 as a set of separate stories. The Chronicles include twenty-seven small tales, that are presented as memories or diaries of several people known as Keepers from the planet of Uthel. Each story covers a certain period of Galactic History such as Galactic Civil War, Clone Wars, Great Hyperspace War and several others.

A large part of the Chronicles is devoted to the life of Saire Ornel and her friend and teammate Makk Taukvaster with whom she travels across the Galaxy on a small starship simply known as Grey Sparrow. The two are accompanied by their droids – a heavily modified P2 unit and a unique assistant droid known as Gerbo. Together the team comes through various hardships and obstacles, when people like Erlion[1], master Jedi D'Nar[2]and private detective Greiv[3] assist them in this long journey.

Part of the stories depicts the life of different characters, only slightly related to Saire[4], or completely new, independent heroes with their own fate[5][6][7]. Some tales are connected with each other solely through common planets and cities.

Overview[]

The Chronicles start with Story I, which takes place during the years of the Galactic Civil War. A small DP20 cargo ship is on its mission of delivering valuable goods to rebels on Uthel, when they are stopped by an Imperial Star Destroyer in order to be checked for customs and security. A rebel captain Mordonn decides to take the risk of evading the Imperials, but as he fails – most of the cargo is dropped into space and later found by pirates from the planet of Shiib.

Several people happen to be involved in this plot – a young girl Saire Ornel, who lives in an orphanage house in the city of Fiderkha, as well as a mercenary Makk Taukvaster, who works for a local criminal clan of Sarkoro. They meet each other as both need to leave Shiib with their friends – the droids P2 and Gerbo. Together these four will encounter lots of adventures in the trip long remembered.

Behind the scenes[]

The first sketches of the Chronicles were created approximately in 1995 when Number Wan made up short stories related to Star Wars. Most of them were the adventures of the characters from the movies, lacking the ones, appeared later in the final draft of the "Chronicles".

Drafts and Versions[]

The first stories consisted of small notes and/or pictures showing the main characters, locations, events, etc. In time some of them formed a self-sufficient text that sometimes was accompanied by illustrations. There were several albums with such tales.

In the beginning of 2000s there was an attempt to create an animated film, based on Story I, that was almost complete. It had music and sounds, but no voice acting and due to low quality of the video it was never released to the public. It's sequel - Story II – was shot only in the beginning, but the work was cancelled soon after that.

In 2009 Number Wan tried to create a scenario for Story IV, but the draft was ultimately destroyed after the crash of a USB flash. The second version was started in 2010 and depicted characters and events from various parts of future Chronicles, but it suffered almost the same fate. The third version had several copies in order to prevent the possible destruction in the future (it was created in 2011-2012).

In 2011 Number Wan started creating the full version of Story I as a comics, which reiterated the events of the "Keeper's Chronicles. Version III".
