Our mission, our cause, our religion is vengeance against those who would call themselves Mandalorians.
—Eska Obed

The Kedd'ej Covenant, or simply the Covenant, was a militant order of species that were devastated by Mandalorians sometime around 700 BBY.

History[]

Formation[]

Sometime around 700 BBY, a faction of Mandalorians led a series of campaigns against the species inhabiting a sector in the deep within Wild Space, bringing numerous species—the Sumok, Valan and the Jirasang—to near extinction, leaving dozens of worlds wastelands, or uninhabitable.
Taking generations to repopulate, the charismatic Jenoph spoke of vengeance against the Mandalorians—wanting to seek out and annihilate them for their atrocities by forming the "Kedd'ej Covenant", kedd'ej loosely translating to "righteous" in Sumok. Slowly the Covenant consolidated power among the Jiira sector, until a slow decline derived from a faction of pacifists who only wanted to live in peace.

Sometime before 220 ABY, Everan Bosa, an agent of the Sith Empire under Darth Malin instigated events that would lead to the Covenant's reformation and subsequent war with the New Mandalorian Crusaders.
