Rise of the Empire era

Katooni was a Tholothian Jedi Youngling during the Clone Wars and the daughter of Stass Allie.

Biography[]

Conceived on Tholoth by Stass Allie when the Jedi Master had a dalliance but born on Coruscant and unaware of her parentage, Katooni was noted for having an uncommonly strong connection to the Force and therefore, despite the circumstances behind her birth, she was trained in the Jedi Temple.

Katooni struggled with asthma early in her life. At the age of six, she was cured by her mother's Force healing, although she was unaware of the connection between them.

Shortly after turning twelve a few months into the Clone Wars, Katooni witnessed Ahsoka Tano sparring with Anakin Skywalker. Although Ahsoka lost the sparring match, the fact that she held her own against the Chosen One deeply impressed the young Tholothian.

Katooni later met Tallisibeth Enwandung-Esterhazy and Carilia Conrose while studying Darth Andeddu. When Cato Parasitti - disguised as Ord Enisence - infiltrated the Jedi Temple to help Cad Bane steal a holocron, Katooni was held hostage by the Clawdite until Saesee Tiin intervened, threatening to kill Parasitti if she didn't let Katooni go. This experience caused Katooni to form a close friendship with Tallisibeth, who comforted her when she broke down in tears. In the aftermath, Stass Allie and Adi Gallia came to check on her, though Katooni remained unaware of why they had ensured her wellbeing in person.

Katooni was also involved in Tallisibeth's final duelling tournament where she duelled her in the first round. Tallisibeth defeated her easily, only being momentarily taken aback when Katooni performed a remarkably powerful Force Push. Katooni was delighted when her new friend won the whole tournament.

Personality and traits[]

Sweet, gentle, innocent and humble, Katooni suffered from a lack of confidence. She did not consider herself to be brave, admitting that she'd been terrified while being held hostage by Cato Parasitti. She openly broke down in tears when Parasitti let her go after Saesee Tiin intervened, despite knowing that the Jedi Master would disapprove of her lack of emotional control, stumbling towards Tallisibeth Enwandung-Esterhazy for comfort while sobbing with fear.

Katooni was quiet and shy, becoming embarrassed when she showed open excitement such as whooping out loud when Ahsoka Tano performed a complex technique in her sparring match with Anakin Skywalker. However, she was also affectionate, openly hugging Tallisibeth after the latter won the duelling tournament.

Katooni's lack of confidence was ironic considering her remarkably high midichlorian count but this also reflected her combination of naivety and humility. She didn't realize that having a midichlorian count of almost eighteen thousand gave her remarkable potential, simply seeing it as nothing more than a number and comparing it to those with truly exceptional midichlorian counts like Yoda.

Katooni looked up to Ahsoka and Tallisibeth, admiring them as both Jedi and as people. She was one of the few Jedi who didn't care about Tallisibeth's low midichlorian count as she liked her as a person and was grateful that she had tried to protect her from Cato Parasitti.

Katooni was consciously oblivious about the fact that she was Stass Allie's daughter but in her subconscious mind, due to the Force bond she had with her mother, she could feel that they were connected despite not knowing what the connection was.

Powers and abilities[]

By her own admission, Katooni wasn't very skilled in lightsaber combat. She had some knowledge of Shii-Cho and Soresu but was no match for Tallisibeth Enwandung-Esterhazy, despite the fact that Tallisibeth was holding back against her.

Despite her lack of physical prowess, Katooni had a very strong connection to the Force, much stronger than the average Jedi. With a midichlorian of approximately eighteen thousand, Katooni's extraordinary Force potential was still undeveloped due to her young age and inexperience. Unaware of how rare such a high midichlorian count actually was, Katooni nonetheless showed the ability to use a very powerful Force push by pure instinct while duelling Tallisibeth, hurling her across the room with enough power to impress Jedi Masters Stass Allie, Adi Gallia and Ilina Xan, the latter of whom was outright knocked off her feet when Tallisibeth collided with her.

Katooni had a natural ability to create Force bonds. Mere days after she was born, she was already attuned to Stass Allie and Adi Gallia's emotional states when they confessed the circumstances of her birth to the Jedi Council, resulting in Katooni being overwhelmed by the conflicting emotions and wailing. Thirteen years later, Katooni was able to sense Adi's death on Boz Pity all the way from Coruscant, despite being unaware that they were related at the time.
