Karana Selria was a human female born on Coruscant 18 BBY. She would eventually became an Emperor's Hand, and after his death in 4 ABY, became the apprentice, and wife of Epin Lanmaw. She was also the mother of Darth Sadis.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Because of her Force sensitivity, when Karana was just an infant, she was taken from her family to be trained as an agent for Palpatine. When her parents resisted, they were shot and killed by stormtroopers.
As a precaution, Palpatine erased her memory, and placed a new one. One that made him her father, to ensure she would be loyal.
Career[]
Karana became one of Palpatine’s finest operatives, completing every mission with sheer perfection. Many imperials came to know her as “The Insatiable”, as when she was around, anyone who showed the faintest interest in betraying the Empire, suddenly disappeared without a trace, as if eaten alive...
Shortly before the Battle of Endor, she was assigned to watch, and if necessary, assassinate Epin Lanmaw and Kryon Milan, two of Palpatine’s finest operatives, who were suspected to have plans of killing Palpatine and Vader.
Karana confronted Epin as he made his way to his ship, after his conversation with Leia Organa, and was defeated. As Palpatine had died on the Death Star, she no longer had anyone to serve, and because Epin had bested her in battle, she pledged herself to him.

Epin and Karana were joined 4 ABY, and were wed by Kreia, with Kryon Milan as witness. They performed an ancient Sith ritual known as the Union of Darkness, where they would cut themselves, bleed into a silver goblet, and then drink their partners blood. Epin wore his recently deceased sister Rena's hair in braids on his robe, and Karana wore jewelry made from the bones of Arkus Quelprim, Rena's husband.
