Kanra O'kau Ke'hermisi, roughly translating from Olys Corellisi to Basic as "tale of the isolated spacers", generally referred to the sect of tales, stories and legends that all stemmed from one of several accounts on an encounter with the mythicized legend of the Starweirds on Ord Ibanna.

Despite being only one of hundreds of claims towards the existence of Starweirds, Ka-rel Luxalvo, the first Corellian Diktat, expressed interest in the collection of obscure and vivid stories retelling the legend during a speech regarding the future of Corellian colonization and interplanetary affairs. The speech itself while receiving positive reception and a renewed kindle of hope, was partially sidelined by the attention it brought to the sect of tales. It gained popular traction among the Corellian people and was soon embedded in numerous aspects of local culture and mythology.

The original tale itself was based on real events however, the dramatic nature, lack of any real credibility and evidence resulted in the its perception of being mere myth. It was often discredited by local Corellian scientists, detectives and investigative journalists for the number of contradictions in the original retelling of events. Most suspected what happened was just some kind of stress induced hallucinations. Some Corellian doctors after the tale's resurgence diagnosed the victims with having Hypernihilosis and post traumatic stress disorder.

Behind the scenes[]

The preface for this idea was most directly and initially inspired by the author's favorite fan-fiction story titled as "The Void". The crew of the Starry Ice captained by Shirlee Faughn follow a derelict distress signal to a region of space that leads them to an empty starless void.
