The Kamino Uprising, also known as the Kaminoan Rebellion, the Kaminoan Clone Uprising, or the Clone Rebellion, was a major event that broke out during the early stages of the Galactic Civil War where the Kaminoan species revolted against the Galactic Empire in response to the oppressive policies and de-facto enslavement of the Kaminoan species to free their world from their grip. To accomplish this, the Kaminoans bred a secret army of Clone Troopers and used them to overthrow the pro-Imperial administration and declare Kamino independent from Imperial rule which didn't take long before the Empire responded and forced Kamino back under Imperial rule.
While the rebellion was crushed, it proved to be exceptionally difficult for the Imperial Army to put down the uprising and the secret clone army that was bred by the Kaminoans were just as competent as their Imperial counterparts. After the rebellion was suppressed, the cloning facilities were shut down and the Kaminoans were placed into mandatory labour.
Background[]
Following the end of the Clone Wars in 19 BBY, Kamino was placed under Imperial rule and was annexed into the newly formed Galactic Empire. The native Kaminoans were stretched to their very limits producing new clone soldiers and weapons to be used for the Imperial Armed Forces while a conscription system was being set up and regular human volunteers were arriving. The Kaminoans were subjected to long working hours and bad working conditions due to the Anti-Alien policies of the Galactic Empire and how they were only retained for their knowledge and nothing more.
As a result of the Empire's oppressive policies, a group of Kaminoans formed a secret resistence and would eventually start an underground cloning facility that would breed and train a new generation of clone soldiers meant to fight against the Empire. The new clones were known as anti-troopers and were bread to fight against the Imperial stormtroopers and were commanded by the Kaminoans and served them only. The project occured over the course of many years due to the Imperials keeping a close eye on the planet and great efforts were made to keep the plan a secret.
