Kam Solusar was a Human male Jedi Master of the New Jedi Order. The son of Jedi Master Ranik Solusar, he survived the Great Jedi Purge and fled into uncharted space after the death of his family.
Twenty-eight years later, he returned to the known galaxy only to be tortured into serving the clone of Emperor Palpatine. After being freed from servitude to the dark side by Luke Skywalker, he became a founding member of the New Jedi Order.
Biography[]
Early life and training[]
Kam Solusar was born around 38 BBY to Jedi Master Ranik Solusar. From an early age, Solusar was trained by his father in the ways of the Force. At some point, he married a woman named F'heela and had two sons named Jaxor and Tev.[1]
When the Galactic Empire rose to power, Solusar hid his family on Anoth before waging a private war against the Empire. During a battle however, he received a vision through the Force, where he witnessed his family's death at the hands of Darth Vader. Returning to Anoth, he buried his family's remains before taking his ship, the Starfield Roamer, and his droid servant EV-9T9 into uncharted hyperspace.[1]
Twenty-eight years later, Solusar returned to known space.[1]
Jedi Master[]
By 30 ABY, Solusar was serving as a lightsaber instructor at the Jedi Temple on Ossus.[3]
Ten years later, Jaden Korr encountered a group of clones known as the Community on a frozen moon in the Unknown Regions. Among them was a clone named Alpha, who had been cloned from Kam Solusar.[4] Several months later, Solusar and his wife Tionne spoke with Relin Druur, an ancient Jedi whom Jaden Korr had recovered during his adventure. Shortly afterwards, Ossus was attacked by Darth Taral's Sith army and Solusar was ordered by Master Kro Sadoon to take several Knights to aid Master Plun Kil.[5]
After surviving the attack on Ossus and the subsequent Battle of Mandalore, Solusar attended the wedding of Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila. He also helped oversaw the construction of a new Jedi Praxeum on Tython.[6] Joining the restructured Jedi Council, Solusar oversaw the Jedi Academy.[7]
In 42 ABY, Solusar and his fellow Jedi Masters sensed a disturbance in the Force, correlating to the simultaneous resurrection of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vorath.[7] He was present when Jacen Solo sensed the pain being inflicted by Skywalker by Supreme Leader Snoke on Naboo.[8]
