The kindest man I've ever known.Compassionate and wanting to do what is right.
—Aaron Achaz

Kaikos Kane was a Jedi Knight who was born in 157 ABY on the planet Ryloth and died in 216 ABY on the same planet. Kaikos was discovered by a Jedi Knight at the age of 7 on the planet of Ryloth. Kaikos had long dreamed of being a Jedi but his friends declared it impossible since Ryloth was irrelevant to the Republic.

Kaikos was very shy as a Younglling however he grew to be very social but also had a reputation as a show off. Like his friends back home, the fellow Younglings didn't think Kaikos would get chosen. Once again, they were wrong. Kaikos was picked by a famous reckless Jedi Knight named Aaron Achaz. After a few sessions with his master, Kaikos could barely even use the Force. Kaikos had overheard that the Council was going to send him to the Service Corps if he failed which motivated him to try harder. Eventually, Achaz stopped training his padawan hands on. Instead, he made him study in the Archives.

A few years later, Kaikos was surprised when Aaron asked him to spar. Kaikos deemed it impossible but with Aaron's help, Kaikos was finally able to commune with the Force! From then on, Kaikos traveled with Achaz on various missions and they soon became famous which Kaikos adored. As he grew older, Kaikos grew more mature and stopped showing off but became a focused young man.

In 184 ABY Kaikos took the trials and became a Jedi Knight! The same day, Aaron was promoted to Master. The two parted after the Knighting Ceremony in which Kaikos promised he would take his former master's teachings to heart and swore they would meet again whether on a mission or so forth.

Kaikos became a very wise Jedi Knight and was assured by many that he would make the Jedi Council one day! However, he did not take a Padawan as he felt he was not ready and did not want to rush into it unlike his master did to him. Kaikos would keep tabs on Aaron and was surprised when he heard the story of Achaz taking on an 18 year old as an apprentice. In 191 ABY Kaikos was present in the Great Hall when Anar Velron Achaz's apprentice who had been designated MIA burst in explaining about his mission, the Sith, and Aaron's death. This deeply upset Kaikos and he went to his room not emerging for a day.

In 195 ABY Kaikos finally decided to take an apprentice. He wanted to teach Velron as he was now masterless but was informed of his promotion to Knight. He did not choose from the Clans but found a young 14 year old orphan strong in the Force named Zyle Chark and taught him. During the beginning of the Dark War, Kaikos finally had a chance to meet Anar Velron and the two talked much about Aaron and more! Kaikos and Zyle had a very active role in the war leading the Republic into many battles! In the middle of the war, Kaikos was informed that he would be one of the Knights who would be promoted to Master when the war ended! Unfortunately, it never came to pass as Kaikos was killed in 216 ABY on his home planet of Ryloth by the Sith. It was rumored that Darth Destroyer himself killed him but it was never discovered. Kaikos was remembered by many Jedi, and was honored on Ryloth as a hero.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Kaikos Kane was born on Ryloth to middle class parents in 157 ABY. Kaikos grew up to be snobby and a show off as shown in his training as a Jedi. However, he had a kind heart and was loyal to all his friends. Kaikos was popular when he was younger. He used the Force to charm many people although he did not know it. His best friend was noted smuggler Zywan Tole. All of his friends, including Tole did not believe the Jedi would ever come for Kaikos which upset him.

One day however in 164 ABY, Kaikos' village was attacked by a group called the Twi'lek Revolutionaries. Many people were killed including Kaikos' parents and many of his friends. However, a Jedi saved the day, apprehending all of the mercenaries and promising to rebuild the village. A young Kaikos was left orphaned and as the Jedi was about to leave, he sensed Kaikos. Knowing the Force to be in him, the Jedi took the 7 year old to Coruscant. Kaikos was homesick mourning at the loss of his family and friends and worried about the fate of Zywan. These fears diminished when Kaikos saw the Jedi Temple. Kaikos couldn't believe he was to become a Jedi! Since he was old however, he was tested by the Council to make sure. Kaikos barely passed and joined his fellow Younglings in Clan Bear.

Early Youngling Years[]

As on Ryloth, Kaikos developed a reputation as a show off. However this time, he was a loner. Force tricks did not impress fellow people with the Force apparently. As before, it was highly doubted that Kaikos would get picked as a Padawan. Kaikos ignored their thoughts but still, got worried every once in a while.

Kaikos got into lots of mischief in his younger years. Once, during pilot training, Kaikos ignored the rules and ventured into space! Many times did he get in trouble which further increased his chances of not being picked. Kaikos could not use the Force very well and failed nearly all his classes. He only passed because of his amazing dueling skills!

Aaron Achaz's Apprentice (170 ABY-184 ABY[]

At 13, Kaikos joined his fellows at the Pick Your Padawan Ceremony. Kaikos was forced to watch as all of his classmates were picked by wise Masters or skilled Knights. Eventually, he was one of the last 5. There was only one person left. A renowned reckless Jedi Knight named Aaron Achaz. All of the masters and their new padawans whispered suggestions to Achaz who took a long time in studying them. Finally, he picked Kaikos. Everyone was surprised Kaikos included! With the Ceremony over, the masters headed to teach their Padawans while the 4 remaining Younglings were escorted to the Council where their future would be discussed.

Early Days[]

Aaron started training Kaikos immediantly. First, he got Kaikos to show him the skills he possessed. Kaikos was nervous as he feared he had failed his master. He couldn't levitate anything, his athletic skills were not impressive and he was defeated by a Padawan training droid in less then 5 minutes all due to nerves. Nevertheless, his master did not give up. However, after 2 months. The results were the same except the dueling which had increased a lot.

Kaikos later overheard a meeting between the Council and Achaz. The Council warned Achaz that if he was not able to make any progress between now and the time Kaikos turns 17, Kaikos would be sent to the Jedi Service Corps. Devastated, Kaikos confronted Achaz and submitted his resignation from the Order. Aaron refused to give up and would not allow Kaikos to resign. Instead, he made him study out of the archives.

Three years later, Kaikos had made very little friends. He was also very frustrated that his master made him study out of the archives for three years! However, one day, Achaz called Kane to spar. There, Achaz explained to Kaikos that he needed to stop trying to use the Force but to relax and think of a powerful memory to motivate his feelings in order to use the Force. After hard work, Kaikos suceeded! Throughout the year, he learnt much of the Force.

When the Council tested him once again, Kaikos passed with amazingly high results! Kaikos was allowed to remain in the Order and his true training begun.

Mission to Onderon[]

"If there is one thing you need to learn Kaikos, it is to do the right thing when nesecary."
—Aaron to Kaikos

In 173 ABY Kaikos and his master were sent on their first mission together to Onderon to solve a dispute between the Onderonian King and the Beast Tamers. When Aaron told Kaikos of his plan to move the Beast Tamers to the nearby moon of Dxun, Kaikos was not sure of this plan as they had been told to move the boundary line and though Kaikos disagreed, he wanted to change his reputation from a show off, to a brave, kind, Jedi. However Aaron refused, stating it would make both sides mad. Kaikos finally relented. Changing the subject, Aaron began to teach Kaikos how to negotiate. He picked up on it pretty fast.

As they arrived, Kaikos followed his master and let him do the talking as instructed. Aaron called a meeting between King San of Onderon and Beast Leader Canel of the Beast Tamers. As everyone made introductions, San and Canel more forced, Aaron secretly tasked Kaikos with removing the boundary line. To this Kaikos refused point blank and was apalled his own master would order such a thing. Aaron did not explain, but told him he would learn a valuable lesson in the end.

So Kaikos was off. He rented a speeder and headed for the plains where the boundary line was located. Hiding in the bushes, he noticed a few Royal Guards. So he let off a smoke bomb near by and they went running. Kaikos darted into the tower and removed the boundary line off of the screen. There was a quiet explosion and Kaikos left discreetly back to the palace.

He arrived to see the two men signing a treaty which Kaikos could not believe. Aaron turned and winked at him and explained to the two men that they would help with the relocation.

Six months later, Aaron and Kaikos left. Kaikos apologized to his master for underestimating him. Aaron reminded Kaikos that he wasn't teaching him to disobey the Order, he was teaching him to think if the decision was the right one or the wrong one. This advice would stay with Kaikos up until his death. After returning, the Council was angry at Aaron disobeying the orders but declared his method effective.

The Trial of Korriban[]

"The vision I saw that day still scares me even today."
—Kaikos to Zyle Chark

By 179 ABY Kaikos had grown more wiser and stronger in the ways of the Force. A bond had formed between Kaikos, and his master. They were inseperable. Kaikos was no longer the show off he once was but the respected Padawan of the reckless Jedi, Aaron Achaz. One of the early tests Aaron gave Kaikos was to face the dark side. When told of this, Kaikos was cocky, he had suceeded in hundreds of missions and thought he could succeed in this one.

Arriving on Korriban Achaz explained that he wanted to test Kaikos' resistance to the dark side because you never know if or when the Sith will rise again. Kaikos noted that the only settlement, Dreshdae was nearly empty. Aaron explained that the dark side was more tempting then ever thus causing people to leave. Aaron took Kaikos to the Valley of the Dark Lords. The amount of dark side energy on the planet frightened Kaikos and made him nervous. Aaron told Kaikos to think of happy thoughts, then use that energy to wrap the light side around him. The technique worked and made Kaikos less nervous.

Entering the ancient Sith Academy, the master and apprentice did not speak. Finally, Aaron took Kaikos to the Tomb of Ludo Kressh where he told Kaikos to enter the tomb where he would face a test. Kaikos was reluctant, but agreed. Entering the tomb, he soon fought off hallucinations of the Twi'lek Revolutionaries. Shaken, Kaikos saw his parents die all over again and fled, horrified! He came to a chamber where a dark figure stood meditating on an dark side altar his presence teeming with dark side energy. When the figure turned around, it was revealed to be Kaikos himself! After fighting the dark version, Kaikos woke on the rocks at the entrance. Thinking it was over, he made to leave but was struck by a vision of the future. Of a dark figure rising with an army of Sith at his command, terroizing the galaxy. He witnessed Ryloth in the future being bombarded and one lone Jedi, charging at the Sith! And then, he finally woke.

Kaikos hurried out of the tomb to find his master waiting. Aaron nodded at his apprentice and complimented him and told him to never stray from the light. What Kaikos saw in the tomb made him realize that the dark side was pure evil, and he vowed never to stray form the light to his death day.

Later missions[]

After the mission to Korriban, Kaikos traveled on various other missions with Achaz. They became widly known throughout the Temple. In 181 ABY Aaron and Kaikos ventured to the Outer Rim to lend aid wherever needed. While saving settlers on Tatooine from a merc attack, Kaikos glimpsed a young boy and was reminded of himself when he witnessed the Jedi save his village on Ryloth. Kaikos convinced his master to take the child to the Jedi and was relieved when his master smiled yes.

A year before his promotion, Kaikos took on a pilgrimage to Ryloth to prepare for his ascension to manhood. He had come of age a couple of years ago, but wanted to do it formally.

Kaikos also ecountered his old friend Zywan at some point. Zywan was now a famous smuggler. However, both men failed to recognize each other. Kaikos did not realize it was him until many years later.

Promotion to Knight[]

“"You taught me well master and I appreciate it. I will take your teachings to heart as I move on in my life as a Jedi. What I'm trying to say is...thank you."
—Kaikos to Aaron before they part ways

By 184 ABY Kaikos was a wise, kind, brave man who continued to do what was right. It was this that determined Aaron to let Kaikos take the trials. Aaron admitted to Kaikos that the bond between them was strong and that Aaron did not want to let go. Kaikos reassured his master that they would remain friends forever. Kaikos passed the trials with top results and was promoted to Jedi Knight. Kaikos had finally achieved his dream of being a renowned Jedi Knight but he no longer cared. In the same room, Aaron was promoted to Jedi Master though reluctantly.

Aaron hosted a party with friends to celebrate Kaikos' promotion. Before he left, the Council told Kaikos he was going to be a great Knight and that to follow in Aaron's footsteps would be unwise. Kaikos only smiled stating that they could learn a thing or two on Aaron's methods. At the end of the party, Aaron pulled Kaikos aside. He explained that it would be hard for them to see each other again. Kaikos thanked Aaron for all of his teachings and turning him into a great Jedi. Aaron thanked Kaikos for everything. The two grasped hands and Kaikos swore they would meet again whether on a mission, or even somewhere in the Temple. After, they parted ways. Kaikos would not see his master again.

The Wise Knight[]

In his first years as a Knight, Kaikos undertook many solo missions. In every one of them, he made the right choice even if it interfered with the Council's orders. The Council was not pleased and attempted to have him exiled. However, one man heard of this and soon, the whole Temple was protesting that the "Wise Knight" as he was now called, not be exiled. So the Council was forced to accept that the Jedi respected this young man. Kaikos was touched by the loyalty the Jedi had for him and recalled that as a child , it had been his dream to be respected. But he was no longer a child and was much wiser now.

Kaikos kept tabs on his old master. Though the two never talked, the only communication they had was once on a chat on their datapads and merely glimpses in the hallways. Kaikos was surprised that Aaron had taken an 18 year old for a Padawan and believed him to old. However, he was interested in meeting him but was called away on a mission before he could set up one.

By 188 ABY, many of Kaikos' oldest friends were telling him to take a Padawan to pass his wisdom and skill onto. Kaikos was very doubtful as he now liked working solo plus still felt he was not ready. To escape all the pressure, Kaikos traveled back to his homeworld on a second pilgrimage as he felt the first one hadn't been official. He wandered the streets of the main city and later traveled to his old village. Surprisingly, Kaikos found ruins even though the Jedi had promised to rebuild it! Kaikos found the long decayed bodies of his parents and friends and buried them. He then began to wonder what became of the survivors such as his friend Zywan. In honor of his old village, Kaikos paid for the village to be rebuilt. He then bought his old home and vowed he would find the survivors of the attack one day.

An Old Friend[]

In 190 ABY Kaikos would get his wish, but in a weird way. While on a mission in Hutt Space, Kaikos confronted pirates. He was captured and brought on board by the leader. Surprised that the pirates recognized him, Kaikos asked for explanation for that, as well of the fact that all of the pirates were Twi'leks. However, he was thrown in a cell.

Only in the cell did Kaikos realize that he had recognized some of them. He then concluded these pirates, were survivors of the massacre of Kaikos' own village. After his next visit with the pirate leader, Kaikos explained who he was. The pirate leader released him and they sat down to have a discussion about what happened to them after the massacre. The leader revealed himself to be Tyro, Kaikos' cousin and the only family he had left. Tyro explained that after the attack, the survivors were terrified even when Alliance ships came to help. Further explaining, Tyro said that he had looked for Kaikos, his only family left but he had gone. So, Tyro had joined the gathering of the survivors. They had taken the one ship left off planet, destroying several Alliance ships in the process. They had turned to pirating to survive.

Kaikos was shocked that his cousin and the other villagers had taken to pirating. Kaikos told his story, about how the Jedi rescued him, about how he became a Jedi, Tyro and the other former children of the village were awed that Kaikos' dream had come true! When Kaikos asked what happened to the other villagers as he only recognized half of them, all kids, Tyro explained that some of them had died on missions, others of old age. Only 6 of them including Tyro were from the original village on Ryloth. The others were descendants. Tyro was leader due to being the oldest of the 6. Kaikos refocused and told Tyro to stop being a pirate and join the Alliance. Tyro refused, stating the Alliance had lied and not helped the survivors as promised. Kaikos did not say anything, having the same thoughts after he had returned to the ruins of the village.

Tyro stated they were not hurting anyone, just selling slaves for ransom. He then tried to convince Kaikos to join them saying his Force talents could be a huge asset. Kaikos refused point blank and an argument broke out between the two cousins which ended with Tyro drawing a blaster at Kaikos in anger! Kaikos backed off saying he would leave and Tyro would leave and everything would go back to normal. However Tyro stopped him. Tyro hesitated, but asked for Kaikos' help. The pirates had made the Hutts mad and were trying to get money to pay them off. Kaikos apoligised, saying that Hutts wouldn't take Republic credits. But he did promise to help Tyro negotiate with the Hutts.

Capture and Escape[]

When I found out it was you who my boss had captured I had to do something. I couldn't leave my two old best friends to die!
—Kaikos and Tyro reunite with Zywan Tole

Arriving on Hutta, the Hutts main center of control, Kaikos and Tyro, along with the other Survivor Pirates, confronted the Hutt Tyro owed money to. Kaikos began the negotiatians, but it ended in failure. The Hutt captured Kaikos, Tyro and the other Survivors and threw them in jail to be executed. Tyro was upset and blamed Kaikos who told everyone to calm down. He then used the Force to mind trick the guards into letting them go. However, halfway out, they were ambushed by the Hutt and his men along with various hired mercs, bounty hunters and smugglers. Furious, the Hutt recaptured Kaikos and Tyro surprised that he had captured a Jedi. In punishment to Tyro, the Hutt opened a trapdoor and the Survivors fell and perished in the lava below. Bellowing in agony Tyro broke free and charged the Hutt but was stunned. Kaikos and Tyro were thrown back in their cell, scheduled for execution.

Tyro refused to speak to Kaikos no mattered how many times he apologized. Eventually, Kaikos stopped talking as well. He blamed himself for the death of the remaining Survivors and their descendants. On the evening of their execution, Tyro finally spoke to Kaikos. He told Kaikos not to be sad. That the Survivors had not died in vain. Kaikos said sorry as well for causing all this. Tyro forgave him. He said that at least they would die together, as family. Kaikos then stated that there were no survivors left, just them. Hesitating, Tyro finally told Kaikos the question that had been bugging Kaikos for days. Tyro explained that Zywan had been with them. But during a skirmish with Alliance ships, Zywan's pirate taskforce, was destroyed. However, Zywan's body was not found and Tyro assumed he was alive.

Kaikos thanked Tyro for telling him this. However, a figure appeared startling the cousins. The figure released Kaikos and Tyro and revealed himself to be none other than Zywan, now a smuggler working for the Hutt. Kaikos and Tyro exchanged one brief hug with Zywan. Each explained each others stories quickly. Zywan stated that he had no choice to work for the Hutt as he too was paying off debt. The three then escaped the palace to Zywan's ship (Tyro's having been destroyed.)

Farewells[]

The three men escaped to the moon of Nar Shaddaa where Kaikos bid his farewells to them. Tyro was surprised and still wanted Kaikos to join him. Zywan too, offered the two men the chance to join his crew as co pilot and first mate respectfully. Zywan explained that the Hutt had killed his previous first mate. Tyro accepted the offer while Kaikos declined it. Though the offer was tempting, Kaikos explained that he had a new family, the Jedi. And he had a duty to serve them. Zywan understood but Tyro had a hard time saying goodbye. Kaikos promised they would meet again and advised Zywan to take smuggling jobs from the Alliance often. Laughing Zywan promised he would. The three men then left with Zywan and Tyro becoming partners and Kaikos returning to the Jedi.

Taking An Apprentice[]

In 191 ABY Kaikos had returned to the Jedi and was now undertaking study from the archives to improve his knowledge. Kaikos was present in the Great Hall when Anar Velron (Achaz's apprentice) burst in. Velron had been missing over a year after he and Achaz had left for a mission to Dagobah. Anar explained that they had ecountered Sith led by Aaron's brother Aedan. This was a surprise to Kaikos as Aaron had never told him he had a brother. Anar revealed that Aedan had killed Aaron and captured Anar himself. He had been tortured for a year until escaping. The Council took Anar in to talk to him privately. Kaikos was anguished about Aaron's death. Ignoring the sympathies of his close friends, he went into his room and rarely came out for 2 weeks.

Finally, Kaikos revealed himself in public again. He knew that Aaron would not want Kaikos to sit around and mope all day. Kaikos honored his memory by deciding to pick a Padawan. Interested in Anar, Kaikos requested him because the boy was now masterless. It was not only because of this did Kaikos want Anar. He saw a bit of himself in Anar when he was younger plus, Anar also had similarities to Aaron as Kaikos himself had. But, he was informed that Velron was now a Knight.

Disappointed, Kaikos scowered the Youngling Clans. Most were very obvious that he or she wanted to be his Padawan especially the Younglings in Clan Bear, Kaikos' old Clan as well as Aaron's as he had been told. Kaikos could not find the perfect Padawan. While roaming the streets of Coruscant preparing for the upcoming ceremony of Clan Just, Kaikos found a 14 year old orphan fighting a gang of criminals. Kaikos stepped in, defeated the criminals saving the boy's life. As soon as Kaikos saw him he knew he had found the perfect Padawan. The boy was smart, quick thinking and strong in the Force. Kaikos asked for his name into which the boy replied saying his name was Zyle Chark. The boy was excited when Kaikos asked if he would be his apprentice. After being tested by the Council, Zyle was cleared to be Kaikos' apprentice.

Adventures With Zyle[]

Kaikos taught his apprentice everything Aaron had taught him plus his own wisdom. Zyle was a quick learner and a great listener. Kaikos soon grew attached to him.

Their first mission together, was to travel to the planet of Ruusan to stop a group of Sith from Aedan's Empire from remaking an old weapon. Although they succeeded, Kaikos was left disturbed. And he knew that the Sith had begun to reveal themselves. Zyle was unconcerned about the Sith stating the Council consisted of many wise men. Kaikos did not agree saying the Council had drifted closer to the dark side then they thought. Itw as only men like Aaron, Kaikos, Anar, Zyle and other noble pure hearted Jedi who kept the Order together.

The Dark War (197 ABY-219 ABY)[]

The War Begins[]

After Anar Velron informed the Council that the Sith were going to attack the Jedi and Alliance, the Council began preparations for war. When the Sith attacked Naboo with Aedan's successor, Anar's former apprentice, Darth Destroyer at the head, the Council sent all of their best Jedi in to defend the beautiful world, Kaikos included. Leaving Zyle at the Temple, Kaikos led a battalion of Jedi in to defend Theed itself!

Many Jedi noted that Kaikos was a blur with both the Force, and his saber. However, the Sith conquered Naboo and Kaikos ordered retreat.

Arriving back at the Temple, Kaikos witnessed Anar Velron sentenced to stay in the Temple. Finally, Kaikos was able to confront the young Jedi. Anar recognized him and they began discussing recent events, mostly Aaron. However, soon, hours passed and they had to leave. Both had become fast friends, and Anar hoped he would meet Kaikos again! Kaikos said likewise and gave Anar his sympathies about both Aaron, and Destroyer.

Leading the Front[]

Kaikos participated a lot in the war. Fighting in various battles, he was either able to stop the Sith from conquering a world, or hold them. He lost very little battles. Around 202 ABY, Zyle joined Kaikos in the war. Zyle was already showing the progress of a Knight and Kaikos hinted to him that at the wars end, he may be allowed to take the Trials. This motivated Zyle to fight harder.

Kaikos fought many battles between 202 ABY and 210 ABY. His most noted battle was the Skirmish on Kamino. During that battle, Kaikos and Zyle fought for a whole month to defeat Destroyer's forces advances on the water world.

In210 ABY the Council put Kaikos on the list of Jedi Knights who were scheduled to become Masters at the end of the war. Anar Velron was also on the list. Kaikos was overjoyed at this as was his apprentice who would be allowed to take the trials soon! At night, Kaikos would attempt to communicate with Aaron each night, begging that he help end the war each day.

Near Wars End[]

The war had changed Kaikos by 213 ABY. Kaikos had come to realize that all the suffering, had weakened him. Though many happy things had happened through the course of the war such as his indefinite promotion to Knight, Kaikos found himself growing weary. He was getting older and growing more tired though his power of the Force remained at its pitch. Kaikos was tired of so many brave Jedi dying to sacrfice themselves. The only thing that willed Kaikos to go on was the thought of all of the dead people he cared about. Aaron, the Survivors, everyone.

Battle of Ryloth[]

3 years before the end of the war in 216 ABY Kaikos led the defense of his own home planet of Ryloth. With Zyle by his side, the two led the Jedi in freeing the main city.

After many days, they succeeded and were preparing to leave when Kaikos sensed more reinforcements arriving. They were landing in Kaikos' newly rebuilt old village. Kaikos personally led the defense and fought with all his might. However, more men just kept coming and coming and Zyle had already called the Jedi twice for aid!

Death[]

Kaikos' forces were dying by the minute, and Kaikos had been separated from Zyle who had led a group of Jedi to sneak behind. Kaikos refused to give up not letting his old village be destroyed again! Devising a plan with his remaining forces, he inflritrated the main ship. Kaikos set the self destruct sequence for 10 minutes and they fled the ship. However they were cut off from joining the citizens on the outside of the village by the Sith Leader. Kaikos told his remaining forces to go and engaged the Sith. Kaikos was unsure as to whether or not it was Darth Destroyer.

With 1 minute to spare, the Imperials were being kept in the blast zone range by the remaining GA and Jedi forces. Kaikos was finally defeated by the Sith who taunted him saying he and his friends were going to die. As the blast counted down to 10 seconds Kaikos realized he was not going to escape after all. For a sexond he thought of what could have been. He would have reunited with Zyle, saved Ryloth. He would have lived til the end of the war and been promoted to Jedi Master and maybe even take on another apprentice. He would have had more time to talk with Anar. He could have retired from the Jedi and work with Zywan and Tyro. But, Kaikos accepted this fate thinking that he would see Aaron again, his parents and everyone else.

Kaikos smiled, saying to the Sith that Ryloth would never fall and the Sith would be defeated. As the Leader frowned, he realized (with 5 seconds to spare) that he was going to die. Whether he died or not Kaikos did not know as the ship exploded killing all of the Sith and saving Ryloth but killing Kaikos Kane, revered, wise, Jedi Knight in the process.

Post-mortem[]

Because of Kaikos' actions, the Battle of Ryloth was won which would deal the Sith a heavy blow in the war. 3 years later in 219 ABY Anar Velron personally led the final battle at Onderon and killed Darth Destroyer ending the war. Kaikos was one of the people Anar would vividly remember. Anar personally, honored his memory by having the Council make him a Jedi Master even though he was dead.

Kaikos' body was never recovered until 220 ABY, a year after the Dark War had ended. It was found by Zywan and Tyro, who had retired from smuggling and returned to live in the village. Together, the two buried it with Kaikos' parents and Kaikos was honored as the Hero of Ryloth.

Kaikos' apprentice, Zyle Chark was broken after Kaikos' death. After surviving the explosion and finding Kaikos dead, Zyle mourned for days. He became a broken man and never returned to the Jedi. You could say that the true Zyle Chark also died at Ryloth and was replaced by a mad, broken man who sought revenge on the entire galaxy.

The Weapon of Spirits[]

When Anar Velron's second apprentice Barak Cloud, killed Anar, Jedi began falling under a mysterious illness which caused them to kill their masters and flee to the Unknown Reigons. In reality however, Zyle Chark was the mastermind behind it. Driven mad after Kaikos' death, Zyle sought to annihilate the galaxy! He rebuilt the Weapon of Spirits on Ruusan and captured Jedi and Sith Spirits alike to use their power to destroy the galaxy! Zyle would feed off the sick Jedi's power and become immortal! Among the spirits Zyle captured were Aaron, Aedan, Destroyer, Anar and Kaikos himself.

Before being captured by the Weapon, Anar appeared to his long lost daughter and convinced her to take up her heritage, become a Jedi and save the sick Jedi while free the spirits!

Zyle kept all the spirits inside the Orb of Power with the exception of Kaikos. Zyle experimented on Kaikos' spirit trying to resurruct it. In the end, Anar's daughter Leliaa, freed the last sick Jedi, Barak Cloud, killed Zyle in pity ending his horrid life and freed the spirits. While talking to the spirits, Leliaa questioned Kaikos of what he thought of Zyle. Kaikos explained he felt sorry for what Zyle had become and hoped he would be accepted into the Netherworld. With that, the spirits returned to the Netherworld finally at peace.

Personality and traits[]

As a child (before he became a Jedi) Kaikos was very confident about everything. He seemed very certain that he had this great destiny to become a Jedi which most of his friends did not believe. Kaikos was also a show off as shown when he used the Force to impress most girls. When his village was attacked, it revealed Kaikos' weak side. However his dream came true when he was taken to become a Jedi. As a Youngling, Kaikos was often nervous. His talents did not impress anyone and his power in the Force was starting to diminish. He was voted most likely not to become a Padawan.

As a Padawan, Kaikos was mainly the same. He was constantly bragging to everyone that he had become a Padawan. His attitude was immensley different when around his master Aaron Achaz. He treated him with respect but while he constantly failed at his training, he couldn't help but express his annoyance and disappointment. When Achaz succeeded in getting Kaikos to use the Force, Kaikos changed immensley. He still kept the show off part of him, but now he was focused on his dream of becoming a Jedi Knight.

As a Jedi Knight, Kaikos was finally grown up. He became the most wise Knight of the Jedi Order. Aaron had turned him into the opposite of what he was as a Padawan. During the Dark War, Kaikos matured a lot. He learned that war was a horrible thing and did everything in his power to end it. By the time of his death, Kaikos was revered as a hero and would be remembered by many generations of Jedi to come.

Powers and abilities[]

Kaikos had a limited knowledge of the Force until Aaron brought out is true potential. By that time, his power grew greatly and was able to use the Force to absorb his injuries. He was greatly skilled in the Force and would have been on the Jedi Council had he not died.
