Kadian Termos was a Human Jedi Knight and later the first Grand Councillor of the Morsian sect of the Jedi Order.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Kadian was found by the Jedi on Coruscant, a street urchin orphan who was using his Force powers to steal food and goods to sell to survive. They took Kadian into the Jedi Temple for training as a Youngling, where he learnt to properly harness his Force powers.

The Clone Wars[]

When he was seventeen, Kadian was made a Padawan shortly before the Clone Wars broke out in 24 BBY, apprenticing under a Rodian Jedi Master and fighting alongside them during the war. They distinguished themselves over the years of the Clone Wars and was respected by his men, impressing his Master with his prowess with a Lightsaber and Force powers. Shortly before the end of the war, his Master promoted him to Jedi Knight without him going through the trails or addressing the Jedi Council, cutting off his Padawan braid himself.

Order 66[]

Kadian and his Master were fighting alongside their Clones when Order 66 occurred. His Master sacrificed himself to allow Kadian to escape, telling him to run whilst he attacked the traitorous Clones, being felled but buying enough time for Kadian to escape the area. After lying low, he stole a Republic ship and flew away from the planet, into the galaxy in hopes of finding a place to hide. Whilst piloting his ship, he heard a broadcast from the Morsian Empire, who offered sanctuary for any Jedi who could make it to the Morsian sector and Morsian space, giving them safety providing they followed Morsian law. With nowhere else to go, Kadian piloted his ship to Morsian space and landed on the Morsian Protectorate Planet Ides Nova.

Foundation of the Morsian sect of the Jedi Order[]

Kadian spent his first few years in Morsian space in a state of perpetual suspicion and wariness, not knowing whether to trust the Morsians or if the newly formed Galactic Empire was hunting him. However, after a long while, he eventually calmed down and became more relaxed when he realised that the Morsians would be true to their word and protect him, so long as he didn't cause trouble. He created a new life for himself on the planet and entered a relationship, deciding that the Jedi Order was dead, thus allowing him to form attachments and create a family.

However, after a couple of years, he learnt of other Jedi who had made it to Morsian space and were hiding out, some of whom were also on Ides Nova. He got into contact with them and they quickly formed a group of exiled Jedi who strived to discover others who had made it to Morsian space but landed on different planets. Luckily for them, other Jedi had the same idea on other planets and soon they had linked up, and started discussing the future of the Order. They came to the decision to start a new sect of the Order, which they hoped could restore it to its former glory once Coruscant had been liberated, whenever that may be. After much deliberation, they decided to start a new Jedi Order on a single planet and all congregate there. Undulis was ultimately decided due to its forest covered surface that would sufficiently hide the new Order's start.

After travelling to the planet with his family, Kadian and the other Jedi sought planning permission for a new Jedi Temple, based in the country of Icenia, being mindful that they had to follow Morsian law, which meant getting planning permission to build. After finally receiving it, they constructed a new Jedi Temple in 14 BBY, formally forming the Morsian sect of the Jedi Order.

Expansion of the Order[]

The Order was initially formed of those Jedi who had managed to escape to Morsian space, with their followers and families living in a Jedi Village not far from the Temple. Kadian and the Jedi worked to establish a new ground layout of the Order, with similar ranks and traditions of the old Order, but modified to suit the new state of the galaxy. Kadian took a large role in the new Jedi Order, becoming the first Grand Councillor of the Order one year after its foundation, in 13 BBY when he was twenty eight years old.

The Jedi worked to secretly spread word of the Order outside of the Morsian Empire with the hopes of attracting other Jedi in exile from other parts of the Galaxy. It worked as other Jedi travelled in secret with their followers and families to Ides Nova to join the new Order, where Kadian welcomed them. He also prompted expansion of the Temple as more and more Jedi joined the Order, as well as expanding the Jedi Village. Kadian proved to be a strong Grand Councillor of the Order, guiding them and keeping them on the path of expansion.

After the Empire[]

When the Empire fell in 5 ABY, the Order no longer needed to remain hidden or fear retribution by the Empire or Sith, as the Morsians were now making great advancements over the Empire after they declared war five years prior. The Order officially came out of hiding and Kadian called on other Jedi to join them in Morsian space. This worked as other Jedi came out of hiding and flocked to the Order, swelling their ranks and requiring the rapid expansion of the Jedi Acropolis. Two years later in 7 BBY, the Morsian Jedi Master Urde Ra'akdoon decided to join the order along with two other Jedi he had kept in contact with after saving them in Order 66. Kadian welcomed him to the Order and gave him a seat on the Order's Jedi Council, which Ra'akdoon ultimately accepted.

Kadian remained as the Grand Councillor of the Order for many years, overseeing the continuous expansions of the Order and their eventual spread into the galaxy, once again fulfilling the Jedi ideals of peacekeeping and diplomacy across the Galaxy.

Personality[]

As he was an orphan child having to keep alive on the streets of Coruscant, Kadian was highly suspicious of everyone and also very street smart. After he joined the Order, he had to learn how to control his emotions and feelings, as well as giving up some habits he had picked up from his time on the street. After a while, his demeaner changed to be far more arrogant, as he realised where he had risen to from where he was. He was arrogant, occasionally disrespectful and had to be reminded occasionally to keep his manners in check. This was helped when he became a padawan under his Rodian master, who trained him in proper etiquette, though he remained arrogant. After Order 66 and moving to within Morsian space, his arrogance was squashed by Morsian officials who took no slack from Kadian. Whilst there, he lost some of his arrogance, though it resurfaced shortly after founding the Morsian sect of the Jedi Order, and it was only further fuelled when he became the Grand Councillor. Nonetheless, he had learned to be compassionate and kinder to those around him, particularly to other Jedi who joined the Order after it was founded, where he expressed sympathy and respect for both them and their families.
