Kad Skywalker was a Force-sensitive near-Human male who was a direct descendant of Luke and Anakin Skywalker. Born under the name of Kad Black on Csilla generations after the destruction of the Jedi Order, he was unaware of his great heritage till the age of 10. His mother, a Kiffar Mandalorian, gave him a Mandalorian name to better hide his true identity. When he was 10 years old a Sith spy working in the area sensed his great force potential and kidnapped him and fled to Korriban by a roundabout route. But he was rescued on Dantooine by the ancient Jedi Master Ulric Bnar. Sensing the boy's potential Ulric took Kad on as his apprentice and for the next ten years trained him in the Jedi arts. Having been presumed to have been killed ten years ago, Kad emerged as a fully trained Jedi Knight and under the alias of Kad'ika set out to secretly rebuild the Jedi Order and free the Galaxy from the clutches of the Sith-Rakatan Empire.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Kad was born on Csilla under the name of Kad Black. Though his parents were aware of their heritage, following the family customs, they were to withhold the information from him till he turned eighteen. During the Jedi Order's last days generations ago, the wife and son of the last surviving Skywalker at the time had fled to one of the last safe havens left in the galaxy, the capital of Chiss Ascendancy, Csilla. So thought the Jedi Order was destroyed, the Skywalker line was preserved. The survivors had then decided to take up the name Black and only reveal a child born into the house of his or heritage when he or she turned eighteen. With his family having lived among the Chiss for generations, Kad was raised as a Chiss. Though at home he was brought up in a kind and loving environment he was taught to fly, to think critically and logically, and to master military tactics. He was raised by warriors to be a warrior.

Dantooine[]

When he was 10 years he was noticed by a Sith spy working in the area and due to his latent force talents, kidnapped. He was then to be taken to Korriban but when the Sith made a refueling stop at Dantooine, Jedi Master Ulric who was hiding on the planet since the fall of the Jedi, had a vision of Kad's arrival on the planet and was able to rescue him. For reasons as of yet unknown, the Sith declared Kad to be dead. Ulric decided to use this to his advantage and decided to take up Kad as his apprentice.

Though Kad was initially reluctant to let his parents think that he as dead he finally agreed when Ulric told him of his descent. Learning that he was a Skywalker along with Ulric's persuasion convinced Kad to stay and train to be Jedi. Over the next eight years Kad trained on Dantooine and harnessed his force talents.

New Beginnings[]

A little before he was about to finish his eight year under Ulric's tutelage, Ulric fell fatally ill and was about to die. Kad, unable to bear this loss, instinctively used his Force Resuscitation ability to heal his master. But Ulric's sickness was too grave for Kad to completely heal and within a few weeks Ulric was nearing the end of his life once again. Ulric reminded Kad that he had a duty as a Jedi and a Skywalker to do what he could for the Galaxy. He then told Kad of his deepest secret, another Jedi still lived, Ulric's daughter T'ra Bnar. Ulric informed Kad that he had trained her in the ways of the Jedi and that she could help Kad in his struggle to free the galaxy. Imparting this information to him and telling him to look for his daughter, Ulric finally died.

Kiffu[]

Following his master's death Kad left Dantooine and upon learning that his mother and sister were visiting his mother's family on Kiffu, traveled to Kiffu. Upon reaching Kiffu he soon located his mother and sister using the force and after over eight years was finally reunited with his family. He told his mother about everything that had happened and apologized for all the pain he had caused them. He also told her of his plans to travel the galaxy in disguise to locate T'ra Bnar. He spent some time with his mother and sister and when the time came for them to return to Csilla he started to make preparations to begin his journey also. On the eve of their departure, his mother asked him to accept the qukuuf, the traditional Kiffar face markings. She informed him that while living among the Chiss she and his father had decided that he would blend into the Chiss society more easily if he did not receive the tattoo but now she wanted him to accept his Kiffar heritage. She also pointed out that the markings could act as a disguise for him. Kad decided that he would take on the markings but not permanent ones, so that he could change identities if needed. The Vos clan leader, being one of the few outsiders who knew of the Skywalkers' existence as well as being a prominent member of the Alliance to Restore Freedom to the Galaxy, offered to help Kad. She told Kad that he could take on the Clan Vos markings to add another layer to his disguise and created a new identity for him. In return she asked him to help the Alliance, which was slowly bleeding to death.

Rescue and New Allies[]

After his family departed for Csilla, Kad stayed on Kiffu for some time gathering information that might help him find T'ra Bnar. He refused their offer to join the Alliance and began travelling the galaxy, waiting for the rare instances when the force gave him some guidance. Finally over a year later, exactly 10 years after the day Ulric had rescued him, Kad had a Vision of his Master. Though brief, in it Ulric smiled at him and said a single word, "Home". Kad then travelled back to Kiffar and got in touch with the Alliance. He told them that he knew with the certainty of the force that T'ra Bnar was on the same planet where Ulric was born, Zonama Sekot. He informed the Alliance that he would be willing to help them if they helped him find Sekot. But no one knew how to find Zonama Sekot as it had vanished a few decades ago. But the Alliance spies informed Kad that the Sith were also looking for Sekot and had an special division set up to locate Sekot. After a few months new information came in from one of the Alliance spies on Coruscant, Hylo Fett, that the Sith had found a new lead. But before she could deliver more information to them Hylo was captured by the Sith. Kad decided to try and free Fett and try to find out what the Sith knew. The Alliance arranged for him to meet up with a smuggler who was helping the Alliance so that he could reach Coruscant.

Personality and traits[]

Gray he still is, neither entirely white or black.

Raised among the Chiss, Kad was brought up in a culture of strict discipline and devotion to duty. But due to his rebellious nature he never fully accepted these concepts. As a child Kad considered his mother to be the center of his world. He always smiled whenever he was with her and he was regularly at her side, holding her hand. He was also very protective of his baby sister and looked up to his father. Getting separated from his family was very difficult for him and it took Ulric a long time to convince him that letting them believe that he was dead was the best thing to do.

Kad was a very intelligent and witty person and was considered a genius during his time among the Chiss. He was prodigiously talented in the Force, a gifted pilot, and a skilled mechanic. He was a laid-back, playful and somewhat comical person. As a child he was something of a prankster and would often tease everyone around him and pull elaborate pranks on them. He was also very curious and this often got him into trouble as he often got into situations which were best avoided.

Though trained as a Jedi he had a reckless and adventurous side, a trait that Ulric attributed to his youth. He was also very caring and trustworthy and had a knack for making allies out of almost everyone by his unwavering display of loyalty. This was stated by Ulric to be his biggest flaw as he was willing to go to any lengths to protect his friends, even if it meant stepping into the Dark Side of the Force. He had a pragmatic outlook on the force and thought that using was the Dark Side was just another that was best not regularly used.

Powers and abilities[]

Being a member of the Skywalker family, Kad was immensely strong in the Force. After ten years of training under Jedi Master Ulric, his natural talent with the force was greatly improved. Due to the extinction of the Jedi Order and the great responsibilities that would someday fall on his shoulders, Ulric trained Kad in a number of different skill sets so that he would be best prepared to hold his own against the darkness spreading through the galaxy. He was mainly a practitioner of Form V and was a very skilled and gifted duelist. When using both his blades, Kad made use of Niman/Jar'Kai to great effect.

Kad was also known to be a relatively skilled slicer, breaking into secure files with relative ease. He was also a gifted mechanic and could instinctively repair or modify almost any item. His skills only improved after his time on Dantooine as he was responsible for maintaining all the equipment at his and his master's residence. He was mainly a self taught mechanic and not particularly well versed with technical names and documentation.

Kad possessed exceptional piloting skills having earned such a piloting reputation by just ten years of age that some believed that he could easily become the best star pilot in the galaxy some day.

Force Resuscitation[]

Kad had an instinctive ability to use Force Resuscitation, which allowed him to revive Ulric from death. He has to draw on the Dark Side to use this power effectively as he has not mastered this skill to the degree that he can heal someone using the Light Side.

Kad can also harm others by using this ability. To do so he would focus on a previous injury and undo the healing done till then. Either healing or injuring someone with his Force ability, he can completely manipulate someones body.
