Murese Modernity

The Kûskûshnwûlanjattsisottoikut, a Sith language compound word meaning "those who dream of peace for the Sith people,"[1][2][3] was a group of eight hundred and seventy-five[4] Sith-blooded refugees who escaped the Sith genocide of 4999 BBY[5][6] aboard the Derriphan-class battleship Koshottoi.[4] Harried in their attempts to settle worlds in the Unknown Regions,[7] these wander-weary Sith eventually discovered the forgotten hyperlane known as the Mure-Lehon Bypass and traveled over the Mortis Line to the Infinite Empire fortress world of Mure.

Etymology and nomenclature

The word Kûskûshnwûlanjattsisottoikut was composed according to the Sith morphology rules governing compounding and could be viewed as a single word composed of a host of different stems and case endings.[2] It was derived from the infinitive stem kûsk meaning "to dream,"[1] the agentive case ending -ûsh converting the verb into the head noun "the one who dreams,"[2] the noun nwûl meaning "peace,"[1] the ablative case ending -anjat,[1] the noun tsis which served as a self-referential term for the Sith species,[3] the dative case ending -ottoi rendering tsis the indirect object of the sentence,[1] and the collective plural marker -kut.[1] The word in its component parts could be visualized in its segmented morphemes as follows: kûsk + ûsh + nwûl + anjat + tsis + ottoi + kut = "to dream" + (agentive case) + "peace" + "about" + "Sith people" + "for" + (collective plural ending).
