Two Venators on their own? Seems like we've been lucky, they would make a fine addition to our fleet, not to mention that capturing them would be a demonstration of our power to the Republic, have them zapped with our Ion cannons and send boarding parties to take them over, also send a message to the rest of the fleet that we are attempting to capture the two ships, and they are not to be fired on except with Ion blasts!
—Jonathan Michaelson ordering the capture of the Justice and the Shield

The Justice was a Venator-class Star Destroyer of the Republic Navy that was captured by the Confederate States Navy and renamed the CSS Glacis, earning the distinction of being one of the relatively few Venator-class ships captured and operated by the Separatists.

The Justice was built by Kuat Drive Yards and was commissioned in 21 BBY, she was relatively new when she was assigned to the fleet going to attack Earth. She served in the First Battle of Earth, in which she and her sister Shield were assigned to outlying area of the battle in order to protect one of the flanks, somewhat isolated, they were bombarded with Ion cannon blasts from the Separatist ships under command of Admiral Jonathan Michaelson, who was intent in capturing them as a symbol of the strength of the Confederate States of Earth Navy to the Republic, if they were able to capture two members of one of the Republic's strongest ship types.

Both the Justice and the Shield were zapped with numerous Ion blasts, which disabled them and knocked out their communications, leaving them unable to fight back or call for help, the Separatists sent in boarding vessels to deploy the Confederate Marines, who worked their way through the ships to their bridges, take control of them and move the ships deeper in Separatist-held space, in which they free to check the parts of the ships they had bypassed for stragglers, safe from any Republic attempts to retake the ships.

The Justice and Shield were renamed CSS Glacis and CSS Bulwark, respectively, and entered service with Admiral Michaelson's taskforce, Force D. Both were repainted in the Separatist blue colour scheme with large Confederate roundels and fought against their former owners in the Second Battle of Earth in 19 BBY.

During the Third Battle of Earth in 18 BBY the Glacis and Bulwark were both in dry dock undergoing maintainence, and were unable to participate in the battle. The Imperial forces captured them both and put them back into service. The Glacis was renamed to Interrigator, and served with the Sol System Force. She was repainted in standard Imperial Grey. As with her sister, she served in the cruiser-carrier role, carrying hordes of Imperial starfighters and strike craft to assist the flotilla.

In 4 ABY, the ship was gifted to the Imperial Kingdom of Zarkania, one of the Empire's puppet states, following the Second Earth Rebellion. The ship served briefly with the Imperial and Royal Navy, before the Imperial Kingdom was dissolved, and the ship was inherited by the reformed Confederate States of Earth. Who operated by the ship until her retirement in 19 ABY. In reformed Confederate service the ship maintained her Imperial Grey scheme.

Your ships were able to capture two Republic cruisers? I am most impressed!
—Count Dooku to Jane Zarkan, during the latter's report on the Separatist victory.
