The Jurl-fon system was a star system in the Corosi sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Its most populated planet, Jurl Primary Fon, was the home of the Jurl-fon monarchy.
History[]
Discovered in 2,463 BBY, the star system was settled over the next thousand years. By the Ruusan Reformation, it was a prosperous enough system to have been fought over in the New Sith Wars. By the time of the Clone Wars, seventeen spaceports were in use in the system but thirteen of them were destroyed in the Battle of Jurl-fon.
After the Clone Wars, the Jurl-fon king had a disagreement with Moff Wilhuff Tarkin over the reconstruction of the spaceports. The dispute escalated and the king imprisoned the Imperial governor Besol Aysonn in 15 BBY. Tarkin immediately sent a fleet to blockade the system in response. The blockade lasted several months and there were several skirmishes in the system between Imperial and Jurl-fon forces. During the Galactic Civil War there were several battles in the system. At one point, an Imperial Star Destroyer, the Canonfire, was destroyed by Rebel raiders on the edge of the system.
