The Jungle Terrain Personal Transport, or JT-PT, was a light assault vehicle with tracked wheels suitable to scouting rainforest terrain. It was manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards for use by the Kuat Scouting Service Company. It was an unshielded, single-person vehicle, capable of travelling up to 46 kph. It was four meters high and two meters long and capable of carrying ten kilograms of cargo. The vehicle was equipped with two forward laser cannons, one heavy-duty chainsaw, and one mini-concussion missile launcher with a payload of two missiles.
The first JT-PT's were put into serviced by the Kuat Scouting Service Company on rainforest worlds in 873 BBY. Some of the vehicles were stolen in pirate raids. The JT-PT was later used in full-scale warfare by the Judicial Department during the Critteria Sector Uprising. Students learned to pilot the craft in a course at the Raithal Academy.
