The Jubill (/ˈd͡ʒu:.bɪl/) were a sentient people who lived on the well-crafted and metropolitan planet of Classaeria. They were best known for having lyrical voices which most other species found persuasive in nature.
The Jubill were a monarchy prior to the joining of the Golden Empire. They were not a particularly religious people, basing most choices and beliefs on physical appearance.
Biology and appearance[]
The Jubill were a humanoid race in all physical appearances, much like the Hapans, although they were not biologically Near-Human themselves. Usually they were visually attractive to other humanoids and tended toward blonde hair and blues eyes. Biologically, they were much the same other than their vocal cords. The Jubill's voices produced a natural lyrical tune to it. This sound came off as a calming or soothing tone which caused the Jubill to be extremely persuasive in conversation to other species.
Society and culture[]
Being a people who prided themselves on their beauty they tended to promote people whose physique that matched their voices, it was not unheard of for those considered ugly to be shut away or hidden from the eyes of visitors. The Jubill were a people who believed above all that appearance mattered.
The few religious Jubill were mostly polytheistic. They prayed to their deities and believed that they would be granted beauty and wealth for doing so.
There was a decent sized group of people who were military on Jubill. Though their voices could usually control the temper of an enemy or even bring them to believe Jubill point of view, they had ships and blasters for system defense. There was even heavy artillery set aside for emergency situations. They were not a people to be caught unprepared.
History[]
The Jubill were a technological race, even prior to the influence of the Golden Empire. Being that beauty was the most important thing to the Jubill, they had made their planet a testament to that. Architecture was considered one of the most prestigious careers that a Jubill could have. They molded any non-metropolitan area to a landscape of beauty.
The Jubill came to their state of beauty through a number of means. During some periods of their history, less attracted Jubill were simply shunned. During others, those deemed inferior were deliberately culled in campaigns of genocide.
When the Golden Empire came to Classaeria the Jubill deemed it wiser to join them than to sustain the damage to their buildings and landscapes.
In the galaxy[]
Due to their hypnotic voices and visual appeal, the government of the Golden Empire hired many Jubill as negotiators and mediators for the Ministries of Diplomacy and Internal Affairs and Integration. The Jubill acquired a reputation as persuasive salesbeings; some other species also thought they were shallow and superficial.
The Jubill Centurion Luna Raquelsei served as one of Rin Sakaros's Royal Guards and fought in the Nightmare War.
