I serve no Emperor. My power is for myself alone.
—C'baoth

Joruus C'baoth was an insane Dark Jedi who played an important role in the Thrawn campaign, and was the brief forced dark side master of Liam Organa. A clone of the Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth created by Darth Sidious some years before the Clone Wars, C'baoth became the Guardian of the Imperial storehouse at Mount Tantiss on Wayland per his master's command, but after his death at the Battle of Endor, the Dark adept became a free agent and pursued his own goals in the dark side of the Force.

C'baoth considered his original DNA template, the Jedi Master he was cloned from, to be his "father" and believed that he was meant to continue on his parent's legacy given the strength he wielded as a Jedi. Therefore he thought it best to serve Palpatine, the man who had been his original self's close friend. Palpatine gifted him the original's lightsaber, but also a different Kyber crystal to serve as his choice to wield a different colored blade and as a test to see if he could fully master the dark side by bleeding the object, which he did.

Alongside Grand Admiral Thrawn, C'baoth took control of the Imperial remnants and looked to focus on gaining all power and influence for himself when Thrawn's usefulness was dried up. But until such a time, C'baoth focused on spiritual matters and left the military part to Thrawn and his right hand Gilad Pellaeon. During this time, C'baoth began to desire an apprentice to pass on his wisdom and powers too, in order to ensure he had a weapon ready to destroy Thrawn, so he selected Liam Organa, son Leia Organa and grandson of Darth Vader.

To bolster his own personal forces, C'baoth decided to seek out the long lost Katana Fleet; over 200 dreadnought class star cruisers, unrivaled by anything int final century of the Republic, in terms of raw power and strength. After Thrawn was defeated and killed, C'baoth took the remaining 70 ships of the Katana fleet and recruited the Prophets of the Dark Side cult as his personal aids as he trained an army of force-sensitives.

After capturing Liam as his apprentice in 19 ABY, C'baoth directed his fleet to the moon of Yavin IV and decimated Skywalker's Jedi Order, wiping out a 1/3 of the students and ranks, and than took open war to the New Republic beginning in 20 ABY. His efforts came to fruition in 21 ABY, when he took nearly a quarter of the known Galaxy systems and territories, but his finally growing clone madness grew to it's full capacity and he was left vulnerable, and he was assassinated on a return trip to Wayland by Liam in a lightsaber duel, whom had renounced the dark side teachings and returned home.

Studying a force ability unlocked by Darth Plagueis, found from Sidious' holocron, discovered through manipulating the midichlorians, C'baoth was able to subvert death. However only once and never again would it work.

Biography[]

Creation[]

Joruus was cloned from genetic template of Jorus C'baoth, a Jedi Master.

Joruus was cloned from genetic template of Jorus C'baoth, a Jedi Master.

It was believed that a tissue sample was extracted from the Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth shortly before he departed to the Unknown Regions and beyond aboard the Outbound Flight in 27 BBY. Palpatine ordered that DNA be extracted from all members of the Outbound Flight crew—including Jedi— tissue samples and blood, justifying it with the potential viruses or potential epidemics that could occur while they traveled trough space. These were used to create a clone made from C'Baoth's tissue sample. Palpatine had indeed extracted analysis-grade blood and tissue samples, the secretly Dark Lord of the Sith, and cloned C'baoth using Spaarti cloning cylinders, which made Jorus' Force-sensitive clone, Joruus C'baoth, go insane. This method, used to grow clones quickly, often produced mentally unstable clones, and Joruus was no exception (however it took years for the clone's madness to fully take over and only just a bit shorter to start actually manifesting).

His embryo was moved to the Deep Core world of Byss, where a secret cloning chamber resided. After he was fully grown, Palpatine tained C'baoth in brief dark side tutelage, showing him the primary use of Force lightning, and told him of his clone origins, informing him of his role in his creation, the friendship he had with the original Jorus, and that for this reason he now served him. Sometime later, he was installed into the galaxy to act on the secretive will of his master.

Service to Palpatine and Guardian of Wayland[]

At one point in time, Emperor Palpatine dispatched a Guardian to the planet of Wayland to guard his hidden storehouses and goods on Mount Tantiss, which contained treasures such as stolen art, a cloning facility, and a prototype of a cloaking device. In 23 BBY, he left the mountain to lead the human, myneyrsh, psadan native populations into one settlement under his authoritarian rule. Afterwards, Joruus C'baoth arrived on the planet and challenged the Guardian to a duel. C'baoth killed the Guardian and took his place, using the Force to keep the Wayland population under his rule, to the obliviousness of the Jedi Order and the backing of Palpatine.

During the Clone Wars[]

C'baoth was given command of B1 droids to guard mount Tantiss in the last year of the Clone Wars.

It took years for Jorruus to become fully insane, but his earliest signs of madness came out in 21 BBY, during the Clone Wars, when slaughtered an entire unit of Clone troopers sent to protect the capital city on Wayland from a Separatist attack, claiming they "trespassed" and didn't even give them a chance of mercy, but just blindly killed them, albeit instantly and with the swiftness, so to not cause them suffering.

In 19 BBY, C'baoth was contacted by his master and informed of the eventual plan of Order 66 from Coruscant to Wayland, and he smiled at the success of his master, as he saw a way to advance his own legacy and knowledge, as he had come to desire his own benefit. His orders were to await the mission completion, which was Dooku orchestrating the Invasion of Coruscant to "kidnap" himself, and C'baoth was too intercept and welcome a certain amount of select units of Battle droids to ensure he could hold Wayland and guard Mount Tantiss efficiently outside of his own powers.

Soon, after a month of the Outer Rim sieges raging, C'baoth moved a portion of his forces and newly recruited militiamen from Wayland to the planet Jomark, where made his residence and he ruled over the native population of humans, and he claimed the old "High Castle" made of rock and stone as his seat of power. But he regularly was not able to visit due to his duties on Wayland.

Personality and traits[]

Joruus C'baoth had many traits of the original Jorus C'baoth, albeit through a filter of immense madness and sinisterness given his dark side creator and master, Darth Sidious. Like the Jedi Master, the clone was very arrogant, believing that being a Jedi automatically granted one superiority over others. He thought that his Force-sensitivity gave him the right to rule others and judge them, and that non-Force sensitives were weak and incapable of independent thought. C'baoth was also overconfident, believing he was capable of performing almost any task through the power of the Force. However, he was also insane, caused by the unstable process of cloning using Spaarti cylinders.

Powers and abilities[]

Like Jorus C'baoth, the clone was very strong in the Force, capable of using many Force powers; He was skilled in the art of battle meditation and used it to command Thrawn's forces and coordinate attacks. He could also send mental messages across great distances. But C'baoth was also adept at powers of the dark side, including using Force lightning, and he frequently utilized it to punish those whom he felt had disobeyed him. He also had the power to take control of other's minds, and literally reshape them in his own image, an extremely difficult feat.

C'baoth had some considerably powerful Force barriers at his disposal. He also had the ability to use Force scream, a sonic attack that could destroy buildings, as well as the capacity to induce fatigue and weariness.
