Jepth was a male Exoi and an Acolyte of the Exoi God-King. By 155 ABY, he was an Acolyte of the Most Blessed Flesh, the seniormost rank below the Most Devoted One. As such, he was aware that Chohwelk VII was critically physically and mentally retarded, and willingly participated in the Acolytes' scheme to keep the God-King's condition a secret while trying to breed stronger successive generations. He genuinely believed the plan was for the best for both the Exoi species and the Salbin faith.

Jepth was the representative of the Acolytes to the Governing Judges, and was present when Corr Shaasa petitioned the Judges to dissolve the Kritocracy and join the Empire. He was a staunch support of the position that only the God-King could make such a decision, but realized the danger too late when the Duros Centurion took him at his "invitation" to present their offer to the God-King in person.

Jepth fled back to the Temple of Incarnate Glory to warn the Most Devoted One and helped rally the temple's defense against the Queen and the Governing Judges. When they forced their way in anyway, Jepth hid in the temple to avoid the fallout. He was thus not present when Rin euthanized the God-King and Tarzg Sav'lir decapitated the Most Devoted One, but Hataphri Rahn Kazot tracked him through the temple and killed him as he attempted to flee.
