Jaxia Veers, also known as the Jedi Exile, was a Jedi Padawan during Mandalorian Wars. Before the Jedi intervened in the war, Jaxia had a romantic relationship with an unknown Jedi. They later disobeyed the orders of the Jedi High Council to aid the Galactic Republic during the war. She rose to the rank of Jedi Knight during the war and she served with distinction under the command of her fellow crusaders Revan and Malak, and was eventually commissioned as a General in the Republic Military.
During the war, Jaxia played a vital role in defeating the Mandalorians during the latter stages of the conflict, but as a direct result of her controversial actions during the cataclysmic Battle of Malachor V, she effectively cut her connection to the Force. Afterward, she was the only Jedi out of all those who went to war to avoid the call of the dark side and return to the Jedi Council to be judged for her crimes. Among the council members to judge her and eventually exile her was her close friend Josham Kavar.
After being exiled from the Jedi Order, Jaxia wandered the edge of known space for almost a decade before returning to the Republic at the height of the First Jedi Purge. Caught up in the schemes of various mysterious factions, she was swiftly drawn into the ongoing conflict and became instrumental in engineering the defeat of the Sith Triumvirate ruled by Darth Sion, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Traya.
Able to sense the Force once more, Jaxia emerged victorious from her campaign against the Sith Lords and immediately began a search for the long absent Revan, who had been redeemed from the dark side at the end of the Jedi Civil War. In the following years, she and the Jedi that she trained during her travels would prove essential to the process of rebuilding the Jedi Order in the wake of its near annihilation at the hands of the Sith. The impact she left on many members of the order and on the galaxy continued well into the Great Territorial War and the conflicts following it.
