Jaro Kejik

Jaro Kejik was a scientist for the Imperial Department of Military Research before becoming an officer in the Imperial Navy, and being appointed a Grand Admiral by the reborn Emperor Palpatine. A noted scientist and engineer, Kejik worked on designing warships and weapons for the Imperial Military. His designs were generally thought of as good, and the Empire utilized many of the weapons, and a few of the ships, that he created. However, after the Battle of Endor, Kejik fell out of favor with Imperial Center, as there was no longer a demand for more advanced warships, since the dwindling Empire barely had enough funds for the regular vessels. Kejik instead had himself transferred to the Corulag academy, where he trained to become a naval officer, to fight for the Empire. For his design skills and loyalty, he was one of the six officers contacted by the reborn Palpatine and made a Grand Admiral.

Early life and career[]

Grand Admiral[]

In 9 ABY, Jaro Kejik and five other officers received a mysterious communication from a robed figure. He told them that he was Emperor Palpatine, reborn in a clone body, using the dark side technique which allowed to transfer one's soul into another body. Kejik and the other five were told to take their forces and withdraw to the Deep Core, and were given coordinates to the planet Byss, the Emperor's secret throne world. Kejik and the others complied, and met with Palpatine and his advisors aboard the Eclipse, a massive Star Dreadnaught that dwarfed even the Executor-class ships. There, he informed the officers that they were selected to serve him as the "second generation" of Grand Admirals, as he monitored them and noticed that each of them displayed different skills, including leadership, and individual talents, making them the perfect officers to become his new Grand Admirals. Palpatine also revealed that he planned on creating a "Dark Empire", a government openly run as a dark side magocracy, and intended to conquer the universe. Kejik and the others agreed to become his Grand Admirals.

Kejik was considered to be an intelligent and knowledgeable scientist, creating many designs that were used by the Empire. He continued supporting the Empire both because his funding came from it, as well as the fact that he truely believed in the New Order and it's principles. That said, Kejik was an avid Humanocentrist, believing in the idea of Human superiority over alien species. His successes in the Empire, such as being an important scientist and a high ranking naval officer, gave Kejik a feeling of personal superiority over his colleagues, and during his service under the reborn Emperor, Kejik made many enemies within the Empire itself. One of them was a fellow Grand Admiral, Fendrilon Magellan, who was more progressive and supported the idea of aliens being allowed to join the Imperial military. As a result of his academy training, Kejik had a fair amount of knowledge of tactics and strategy, and was a competent officer.
