Tachibana Heavy Engineering's JT-Z quad laser cannon[1] was the last generation JT-series laser cannons developed by T.H.E. and was used on the starships and starfighters of the New Empire.[1]
Like its B, G, and X variants, "JT" stood for Jacques Tachibana, CEO of Tachibana Heavy Engineering and like its other variants, the "Z" was added to make it more distinguishable from the other JT-series laser cannons, being able to effectively deal massive damage against armoured freighters and starfighters.[1]
