Iv'Iurius was the conqueror of the planet Uthel, that arrived there in 212 BBY together with his army, who also gained control over the planet in 19 BBY.
Story[]
Early life[]
There is no official information about the first years of life of Iurius, but it is believed that he spent most of his life on an unknown planet somewhere in the Outer Rim. Then something happened on his homeworld and he began his crusade against Uthel around 212 BBY.
On his way he found several allies, including mercenaries (humans and humanoids) and rugh'chayee warriors. He also carried wild beasts with him, that he planned to use in his plans.
First Rise to power[]
The invasion was unexpected, and nobody thought of a war. From the early morning the citizens of Uthel could notice strange flashes in the sky, and soon it became clear that several asteroids collided with the planetary energy shield.
Though there were some people who had other ideas: these asteroids were falling for certain reasons, and perhaps that was a sign. Several governmental officials had additional data concerning this matter, but they decided to keep that in secret.
Everything changed when one such asteroid fall through the energy shield and damaged the shield generator. A group of repairmen (including Molon Rowi) was sent to the station to restore energy, but it was too late for that.
The city remained defenceless for two hours, but it was enough for Iv'Iurius to destroy the security systems using the wild beasts. The latter however could not be controlled forever, and a whole army was sent to eliminate any opposition.
The rugh'chayee warriors captured several citizens and prepared the Governor's Palace for their master. Iv'Iurius declared himself the new ruler of Uthel and continued the invasion of other territories.
During these days he learnt of a life-extending source, that was believed to ne stored in an ancient temple in the Northern swamps of Uthel. According to legend one can become immortal if he finds this relic. Only one person could tell more about this source - the keeper of the planet, Erlion - and Iv'Iurius started looking for him. Eventually he learnt, that Molon Rowi was also after this person and sent spies to the Northern Swamps. It was soon that he gained absolute power and became immortal having a key of immortality.
But Iv'Iurius did not know the second part of a legend: an individual with such an artifact could still be vulnerable, for he had such power, but could forsee the coming events. Little did he know about the other relic of the planet - the Keeper's sword.
While Iv'Iurius was trying his new abilities, Molon passed intricate trials to get the sword. He then travelled back to the temple at the swamps, where he had a duel with the dictator. Together with Erlion they managed to return the artifact and kill the horrifiing beast.
The Exile[]
Many people believed that the short reign of Iv'Iurius was over, and that he was killed, but actually he survived the encounter with Molon Rowi and was in hiding for almost 180 years. During this time he was staying in the forests and swamps, rarely leaving his hideout. He did not want to be found, so he didn't appear in public.
He had another plan to gain power back, however. But without his army and strenght he couldn't do anything. He collected as much information as possible about other worlds and nations.
In 33 BBY he moved to the outskirts of the city of Naijil, where a peace conference was taking place. He stole a bunch of explosives and tried to kill all the participants, including the representatives of several other pkanets as well as political leaders and their aids. It was there that he was spotted by a droid ZID-17, that his own assignment from a dark jedi.
Iv'Iurius was lamost thrightened to death that he might have been seen by one of the guards or simply a guest of the conference, but he calmed down later and returned to the swamps.
Being a Republic Agent[]
Somewhere around 22 BBY he was found by ZID-17 that offered him a job and cooperation: ZID's masters could change Iv'Iurius' apperance so that he looked as a human, then he had to apply for a job in Republic Intelligence Agency. Actually he had valuable information about the CIS (given by ZID-17 and Duvar Enego), that helped him to become a double-agent.
For two years he was spying on the CIS and its allies, but in 19 BBY the Elecrians learnt from an unknown source of a traitous nature of one of their men. Iv'Iurius was captured and sent to the military installation on the orbit of Uthel.
While the separatists were attacking the planetary energy shield, a group of resquers was sent to the station: a jedi D'Nar and keeper Erlion. They set free the agent without knowing his true identity and fled the station before it was destroyed by Republic Forces.
Second Rise to power[]
Iv'Iurius and a clone trooper in 19 BBY.
Soon after the battle a New Order was established, and the clone troopers attacked all the jedi, as well as those who tried to protect keepers of peace. Iv'Iurius used that for his own plans: he put a bomb in the Governor's house, that resulted in death of the Governor and his Council. He proclaimed himself to be the new ruler of Uthel.
Iv dissolved all local institutions and police forces (that formed a group of rebels on the planet after 12 BBY), reconstructed the city the Governor's Palace. He was now a Moff in the sector.
Almost at once he began his infamous repressions towards the locals. He used clone troopers to suppress any kind of insurgents, he sent gas droids to the countryside to force the local dwellers move to the city. He wanted every part of the planet be under strict control - he did not want to lose his power again.
However he was infuriated to learn that someone had destroyed the Temple and the source of eternal life.
Duvar Enego did not like much the idea of having a moff like that in the nearby system. He was thinking of a plan to remove Iv'Iurius one day.

Serving the Galactic Empire[]
The next ten years he spent in executing the rebel forces and political rivals on the planet. He did well, so that even Palpatine was pleased to hear about the results of his activities. But Duvar Enego did not.
The members of the Dark Guild that was controlling almost every planet in the Senb'An'Tiin star system, wanted to remove Iv'Iurius. They asked ZID-17 to frame up the moff, arrange explosions on Uthelian imperial plants, make false reports about rebel activity in the region and others.
This plan did not work quite well, for Iv'Iurius stayed in office and the rebels won the battle over Uthel (during this dark jedi Trillak, a member of the Dark Guild, was badly injured.
Four years later another was struck Uthel: a group of rebels, led by Saire Ornel attacked the city of Ledjin in order to restore the power to the shield generator (that was damaged in 19 BBY by clones). They wanted to use that to capture Iv'Iurius and prevent Enpire from sending reinforcements to the planet.
Duvar Enego and Trillak were also in the sector, but only to capture a fugitive jedi D'Nar, but were not in the city during the battle. They thought that after dealing with their main objective they could bombard into dust the whole city together with rebel forces and Iv'Iurius as well.
The rebels were outnumbered by imperial stormtroopers and could not make their way to the energy station. However the ordinary citizens suddenly started riots in several parts of the city, and the imperial legions were distracted for s short time. But Iv'Iurius was not.
He followed Saire Ornel and her friends right to the station, and almost killed them, but was stopped in time by his old enemy - Erlion. Both died of severe injuries that day.
Personality and traits[]
Among the Uthelians Iv'Iurius was known as Dictator, Traitor, Usurper and simply the Beast, mainly because nobody knew of his true origins. He was feared and despised by both his enemies and his allies.
In 212 BBY only a few could see him: his people or the prisoners, that were first tortured and then killed. Molon Rowi was one of the few, that encountered the beast at that time and remained alive.
Iv'Iurius was of medium height, pretty stout, but still strong. His skin was dark green, and he weared brown armour, as well as a coat and sometimes a crown. He was a ruthless and fierce creature, that would slaughter any living being on its way, even a child. He was so brutal, that even his rugh'chayee warriors were afraid of him and his unpredictable character.
Being cruel, Iv'Iurius was very much into tortures and violence, that he showed during the first hours of the Invasion of Uthel in 212 BBY. He was also good at commanding troops, as well as wielding a sword.
After his defeat he went into hiding in the Northern swamps, a journey, that mutilated his body and soul for years. He was also badly injured in a duel with Molon Rowi and could not recover from several deseases for a century.
After 30 BBY he was contacted by a strange droid ZID-17, that offered him help in return for a small service from his part. Iv'Iurius agreed and was taken to an unknown location, where he underwent serious operations and through mysterious Sith procedures, that eventually would make him look like human. All this was done in order to send him to CIS legions as a spy for the Republic.
In 19 BBY his previous appearance returned, as the Emperor was wiping the Jedi around the Galaxy. Actually Iv had no need for this disguise any longer, for all this "role-play" was at the very end.
Being a cripple from a certain point of view, Iv'Iurius made several operations on his body, after which he had to use a breathing device, very similar to Antiox breath masks used by Kel Dorians.
Behind the Scenes[]
- The name Iv'Iurius is derived from the name of a creature, made up by a friend of Neterwan in 1999. Actually she used the name of a common schoolmate, using several letters of his first and family names.
- Iv'Iurius represents a typical dictator, that could be seen in real life, like J.Stalin, F.Franco, B.Mussolini and others, with the exception, that Iv'Iurius was a dictator only once, and then the governor during the reigh of the Emperor Palpatine.
- Iv'Iurius' species was intended to be shown in the Star Wars Jedi Academy video game in one of the game levels in the unofficial modification "The Dark Pastime".
