I daresay even the Prime Minister himself would be envious of such beautiful craftsmanship.
—Countess Patrice LaLenna, to Isla, regarding her sabercane.
Isla Ahnkett's sabercane was, as the name suggests, a sabercane created by Sith assassin Isla Ahnkett after arriving on Voryle.
Designed to pass as an ornate prop to suggest a higher social status while on Voryle, the hilt of the weapon was plated with aurodium – although the underlying structure of the hilt utilised quadanium steel and a protective outer casing of phrik – and featured a sculpted terentatek head to symbolise Isla's leadership of the Cobbled Terentateks street gang.
There were no visible controls on the hilt, as the weapon could only be activated via the Force, and a wafer-thin layer of neuranium lined the interior to prevent scanners from detecting the components concealed within.
The shaft of the cane was made of a red-pink gemstone preserved by a transparent protective finish and sported a retractable hidden blade made of songsteel that – like the lightsaber itself – could only be activated using the Force. For the purposes of hiding the weapon while on Voryle (a world with strict weapons laws), the hilt could be locked into the shaft of the cane and wielded in a similar fashion to a staff.
When activated, the lightsaber initially produced a blue blade generated by an old Jedi crystal gifted to the Chiss by Countess Patrice LaLenna, but after stealing a Hurrikaine crystal from a bank vault on Voryle Isla returned the LaLenna's heirloom. From then on, the lightsaber produced a purple blade, Isla's colour of choice.
It could also be used as a simple walking cane, and while it featured a curved hilt it was only symbolic, representing the Chiss' preferred form, Makashi, as the ornamentation prevented the advantages of the curve from being utilised.
Isla continued to use her sabercane for many years until the creation of her final lightsaber on Odessen, after which she retired the ornate cane to a storage chamber in her apartment in Tyrena.
